brisfox Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Now City are getting a lot of attention nationally, has anybody seen evidence of glory boys/ hangers on starting to "support" City? My grandson in California wears his Leicester kit, much to the annoyance of his Man Utd supporting dad
STUHILL Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Nothing like that yet, but I have noticed we seem to be everyone's second team now. Mainly for our style of play and entertaining matches, but also because we are winning!
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 There is nothing I hate more in football than glory supporters, they even edge past half and half scarfs which bloody takes something. Trying to talk football with some of my glory supporting mates who base their opinions on Leicester on 5 minute MOTD highlights is absolutely infuriating.
Larry_LCFC Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Please don't turn this into another "where were you when we were shit?" thread. The whole superior fan attitude becomes very grating.
Guest Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Not many of em were at Hartlepool for the paint cup game in 08 I bet
TheUltimateWinner Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 gonna start seeing loads of these soon im calling fake on this one
Great Boos Up Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 I get the impression that pundits, journalists and current Premier League fans are not taking our position seriously. But we are attracting a mass of neutrals and overseas fans who love our fearless attacking never say die style of play. The fighting underdog will always win hearts. Plucky little Leicester was comment I heard that stuck in my mind.
Fatbloke Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Not many of em were at Hartlepool for the paint cup game in 08 I bet :-) I was, then again shortly after in the league as I remember ?
mikey54 Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 According to the Fantasy Premier League stats 55.3% of people have Mahrez in their team 49.3% have Vardy. The next most popular is Sanchez 40.1% (Didn't know which thread to put this in)
Foxy harry Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 well my grandad lives in beaumont leas so thats y i support leicester
Guest Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 :-) I was, then again shortly after in the league as I remember ? I was there for that one but didnt make it to the league game #shitfan
Lionheart10 Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 I wonder with this period of relative success whether it will persuade more of this generation of 6/7 year olds to support their local side rather than Chelsea ,Man Utd.
Dennis118555 Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 well my grandad lives in beaumont leas so thats y i support leicester Can't have everything I suppose!
bovril Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Football Club in 'more popular when playing great football' shockah.
EastAnglianFox Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Please don't turn this into another "where were you when we were shit?" thread. The whole superior fan attitude becomes very grating. Nail..on..the..head!!
Itsthejoeker Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 I personally wouldn't mind a few glory supporters, as long as they keep buying kits and pumping money into the club it's fine by me.
Larry_LCFC Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 I personally wouldn't mind a few glory supporters, as long as they keep buying kits and pumping money into the club it's fine by me. Exactly. Right now, if we want stadium expansions etc and to hold onto our best players, the more money pumped in by the "glory boys" the better.
BenTheFox Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 It's nice to finally have a team that neutrals/glory boys want to watch. Yes it can be frustrating at times, but I'd much rather more people from Leicester support Leicester instead of Man Utd/Liverpool/Arsenal/Chelsea etc.
Sleepy Fox Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Now City are getting a lot of attention nationally, has anybody seen evidence of glory boys/ hangers on starting to "support" City? My grandson in California wears his Leicester kit, much to the annoyance of his Man Utd supporting dad You are getting a lot new fans over here in the states. Leicester games have become must see TV in my circle of friends. I fell in love last year during the run in.
Vacamion Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 If someone, upon being asked for the password, doesn't reply "Ormondroyd", I consider them to be suspect and probable recent bandwagon jumpers.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Maybe these fans should support their local side rather than turning to the flavour of the month. Live in Leicestershire? Great, come along and bring your lad along if you can get a ticket. Live in Devon? I'm sure Torquay or Exeter would value your support much more than we would and in the long run so will you.
kyleolly Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 a lad at work who is a life long Man Utd supporter is now saying we when referring to Leicester
GorlestonFox Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Another where were you when we were shit topic. Brilliant.
