BigMicky Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 He would be better suited at Bolton. I love Lennon but we dodged a bullet there.
Sampson Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 When Sven lost didi hamman, I recall our form suffered in the short term. Nah, other way round. He lost Chris Powell and we seriously suffered. He brought in Hamman as a replacement but couldn't stop the slide.
Bayfox Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 When Sven lost didi hamman, I recall our form suffered in the short term. The same didi that made a shit job if being Stockport manager. Greener always grass not.
shade Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 if he enjoys it here, stay. if he doesn't, go. simple as that?
bluebeau Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 It would be sad to lose him, but with all due respect, Ranieri brought his own guys with him when he came to City, so in some ways you couldsay, he is surplus to requirements? Best wishes & good luck to him if he does move as long as Walshy doesn't also leave.
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 He's got to stay here. He's been a big part of our success IMO.
Loggy88 Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 Can't see this one happening, I was very surprised Claudio kept Pearsons coaching set up at the club, but I'm very pleased he did as obviously it has worked a treat!
Babylon Posted 1 December 2015 Author Posted 1 December 2015 You're not normally one to listen to rumours ..... Is there more to it than that Mr B ?? A mate at work is a Walsall fan, if it was a random I wouldn't listen to him.
Countryfox Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 A mate at work is a Walsall fan, if it was a random I wouldn't listen to him. Thats alright then ... I thought you may have got it from a friends friends uncle for a minute ! I was beginning to think that the longer time went by without NP getting a job the better chance we had of keeping Shakey and Walsh .... If he does go though, (and its all down to his ambition), it might be better than losing them both to NP as the threesome would be broken up, we would still have Walshy (for now), and I doubt if Shakey would be able to tap any players up to leave here for Walsall ! I also think that CR is now the father figure that our players look up to and has done a brilliant PR job since he arrived.

He'd be aware of any promising youngsters we have to take on loan, which would be good for us.
davieG Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 We don't know what the current set up is its certainly more top heavy than last season with CR bringing in his own guys. His contract may run out in June and he's been told it won't be renewed, anything is possible.
foxfanazer Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 Good luck to him if he's getting into management. He'll be missed thats for sure
Corky Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 Let him go and bring back Cambiasso who was the real reason we survived to assist Claudio.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 I always though Shakespeare would go when Pearson got a new job. Fair play if he goes to Walsall, departing from the three amigo's (Pearson, Walsh, Shakespeare) to go solo.
My Nads Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 We don't know what the current set up is its certainly more top heavy than last season with CR bringing in his own guys. His contract may run out in June and he's been told it won't be renewed, anything is possible. None of us are really sure how the set up works at the moment, but from the outside Shakey looks to be as involved as ever. He will make a top notch manager if that's what he chooses to do. Like most of us, I'm expecting him to join up with Nige again sooner or later. We would miss him if he leaves, but he should do what he thinks is best. After a few years of managing his own club, he might well return here as manager when Ranieri calls it a day.
Guest Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 I would've thought he'd jump at being manager. That must be his goal and have been his goal for 20 years.
Dickov22 Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 It would be sad to lose him, but with all due respect, Ranieri brought his own guys with him when he came to City, so in some ways you couldsay, he is surplus to requirements? Best wishes & good luck to him if he does move as long as Walshy doesn't also leave. If only you knew....
Dickov22 Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 He's got to stay here. He's been a big part of our success IMO. Just a bit. Be a disaster if he goes. Does all the training. Ranieri's chaps don't speak English yet!
Dickov22 Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 Knew what? How much he ISNT surplus to requirements. He takes training
Nickfosse Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 Oh thank you. I thought you were referring to the possibility of Walsh leaving. I very much hope they all stay. The mix of Pearson's set up and Ranieri's wisdom seems to be working a treat,
jit Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 Walsall is a good club, great for him to start your Managerial Career. Good job for him and good choice by Walsall. I'm sure he'll be greatly missed but could understand if he left.
TJB-fox Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 Doubt he'll work at a higher level than he is right now, nor on a higher wage. However, if he's really ambitious and keen to pursue a managerial career I don't think there's a lot we can do for him at this minute unfortunately! Be gutted if he left as supposedly a large contributor to our success, but would wish him very well
Spudulike Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 More likely to be this bloke ... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34973806
