Rincewind Posted 30 August 2016 Posted 30 August 2016 See no evil was good too. Was he in Young Frankenstein? Saw a video, the film in five minutes. Mel Brooks film. mad.
Robin JD Popley Posted 30 August 2016 Posted 30 August 2016 Absolutely heartbroken about Gene Wilder's death - to me, he will always be the only Willy Wonka. He made a little boy growing up believe I could be anything I wanted to be, if I just dreamed and followed my heart. Enjoy your last journey to Heaven in the Glass Elevator Mr Wonka.
MC Prussian Posted 30 August 2016 Posted 30 August 2016 Never been a Willy Wonka fan - I'll always remember Gene Wilder from "Blazing Saddles", though. R.I.P., you funny hatter.
Guest MattP Posted 30 August 2016 Posted 30 August 2016 Great shame, I absolutely love The Producers, Willy Wonka and Blazing Saddles.
TiffToff88 Posted 30 August 2016 Posted 30 August 2016 Blazing Saddles is by far my all time favourite film. I'll definitely be watching it tonight in honor of the Waco Kid
Wymsey Posted 30 August 2016 Posted 30 August 2016 Only knew him from the Wonka film, but his acting was one for the family that consisted of both talent and diligence.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 30 August 2016 Posted 30 August 2016 RIP Gene Wilder very funny actor in some super films iconic films like See No Evil and Stir Crazy etc
MC Prussian Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 Czech Republic gymnast Vera Čáslavská has died from pancreatic cancer at age 74. She became famous for silently protesting against the Soviet Invasion at the 1968 Olympics by turning her head away and down during the Soviet national anthem.

fuchsntf Posted 7 September 2016 Posted 7 September 2016 Ken Higgs, came from the northern counties, to become one of our own. Underrated but well respected medium fast bowler. Helped Leicestershire in their 70s period being one day kings, and respectable county cricket era. Plus Should have seen more England caps, he was a wicket take for sure...74 wickets 15 tests..Just shows how bias the southern dodos were..Lancashire and Leifestershire knew who c and what they had.. RIP and green pitches.Swang the ball before the establishment knew what it meant.
surrifox Posted 8 September 2016 Posted 8 September 2016 I hadn't seen that . Loved watching Higgs in his England days- great trier and a gent by all accounts
