Gerard Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 I've got a horrible feeling about this. You said that about our West Brom, Watford, Newcastle run. IIRC you forecast one point, how did that work out for you? The next four games will be a statement one way or the other I suspect.
Kitchandro Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Who gives a fvck, lose and we'll still be 14 points clear of them.
Guest Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 The problem chelsea have now is that as a club primarily made up of mercenaries, and with Mourinho wavering, there's no clear leader to rally round and to shore up morale. A vintage United side, for example, could falter or have a bad season but you knew they'd come back stronger coz the club really meant something to them. I don't see anybody at Chelsea who might have that attitude apart from Terry, and he's obviously not the force he once was. Players who chase personal prestige and money are especially vulnerable when the going gets tough.
Dan Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Did you have a terrible feeling about today? and the games prior... I got to say I thought we might get a draw today and I'm the biggest optimised I can't even believe just what we are doing... against Newcastle I thought we would only get a point too... but we keep on winning and soundly Nah. I said we'd beat Swansea comfortably for the reasons that we had a better manager and were better organised. The rest looked after itself. Chelsea's a funny one. I actually think our best chance is if they keep playing the likes of Fabregas, Hazard, Costa etc... who aren't performing. If Mourinho doesn't change things I think we'll stifle them with ease, problem is they're looking alright defensively again and I think right now Mourinho wouldn't be too down with a point. I could see the game ending goalless, which as daft as it sounds for this fixture, is two points dropped given the position of the two sides. Leicester v Chelsea, 1st v 16th. What. The. ****.
ozleicester Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Going to be a tough one, this match is basically Chelsea's cup final now so expect them to go tooth and nail for once. We're top of the league, we are everyone's cup final these days hehehehe (its like League one and Championship all over again) I was concerned about Swansea and we ripped them to shreds... i am concerned about Chelsea.... but a win is definitly doable.
Dan Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 You said that about our West Brom, Watford, Newcastle run. IIRC you forecast one point, how did that work out for you? The next four games will be a statement one way or the other I suspect. You've got me mixed up with Jimmeh there, something which I'm going to struggle to forgive you for. Had us to win two of those three. Shamefully did a Lawro and put us to lose at WBA before realising again we're brilliant and they're shite.
WesMorganGod Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 We can beat them, but I won't be fooled by their low position, it will still be tight I think. I reckon 2-1 to us. will be awesome to get another 3 points.
My Nads Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 I agree, I would actually be disappointed if we don't take the points against Chelsea, I feel against Everton we would have to do very well to even get a draw there... arguably it is that Everton away game that will be our toughest game so far Arsenal at home was pretty tough!
FireFox Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Chelsea's goal this season started at defending the title, then top 4, now top 6. "Sooner or later could be top half." Kyle Martino on NBCSN's MotD saying Chelsea are currently in a relegation battle. That their best/only chance at getting Champions League next season is losing/throwing their midweek game to get knocked down into the Europa League, playing their best side for that to win it, and blooding youngsters in the Prem.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Looking forward to this. Hopefully we can continue this great momentum following an impressive away win.
foxes161 Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Should win this after watching Chelsea yesterday. Still shocking how they are playing
Cincinnati Fox Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 They will target Simpson! Like the did in the 2nd half last year to koncheskey with Willian If he back off like he normally does they will tear him apart. Other wise I think player for player we will beat them in every other battle!
Finn Claw II Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 I can see us facing a lot of corners, given their form it's probably the best way to try and beat us. http://www.11v11.com/matches/chelsea-v-leicester-city-31-october-2007-279129/ We have a terrible record against them but the match above was probably the best defeat i have ever seen. I think it was Kenton, Chambers and Newton as a midfield three. How times change.
Corky Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Take away the fact it's Chelsea, we are playing the 14th team in the league, the sort of team we've been beating so far. I think they'll be happy with a point and to nullify us.
what? Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Can't wait to see Huth stroll off the pitch with a big smile on his face as Costa is stretchered down the tunnel without his testicles.
Guest ttfn Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Sooner or later they're going to get it right though. That said, the weird thing with them this season is that they keep looking like they've turned the corner (3 clean sheets in a row, a point at Spurs, appear to have rescued their Champions League campaign) and then they do something mental like lose at home to Bournemouth. The other thing about this fixture is that in Mourinho's never ending quest to pick on pick on people unlikely/unable to defend themselves (Vilanova, Carneiro, the referees), Ranieri is one of the many people he's taken an unnecessary swipe at over the years. There's nothing Mourinho loves more than rubbing his (often self-imagined) adversaries noses in it (think Arsenal never beating Chelsea under Mourinho in the league) - he'll be well up for this.
KP Fox Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Haha I bet they're fuching poopin' their pants! Gonna so love our pacey attack make Terry look a right tw@t.
cjslcfc Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Just looked up match odds on SkyBet. We are 15/8, the Draw 12/5, Chelsea 7/5. It really makes you laugh doesn't it!
fuchsntf Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 The only opinion that counts, is that man Lawrence. His tip this week will be crucial to Our seasonal results.I hope Morhino hasnt got to him, begging him to tip a Chelsea loss....
EnglishOxide Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 We really should beat these. The fear is that we will be the game where they turn their fortunes around. Like someone else said, their defence has tightened up. Usually that means they will grow in confidence and start being adventurous up front. But then the thought of N'Golo, Danny and Okazaki swarming all over Matic and Fabregas leaves me thinking we can smash them. They will not cope. It will force Willian back. Vardy can run at Cahill and Ivanovic. They are useless on the counter attack if Hazard is out of form and Costa plays instead of Remy.
