Does anyone know if Okazaki has finished a game this season? If so how many times has he done it? I just can't recall the last time he played the full 90 minutes.

Forest have finished above us once in the last 20 years

Three times. 2008/09 (19th in Champ v 1st in League One), 2009/10 (3rd v 5th in Champ) and 2010/11 (6th v 10th in Champ).

Although we've been in a higher division in 11 seasons and they've been once.

It's weird really. I spent most of my entire youth being jealous of Forests success and receiving dogs abuse from mates who were Forest fans. Now I rarely give them a second thought and they're quite literally in a 'different league' to us these days. After all these years it's now true that "Leicester rule the Midlands, and Forest rule fvck all!"

I just saw a graph and it's obviously wrong then lol

Okazaki not starting at Chelsea at least meant he didn't equal the PL record for being substituted most times in a season. He's 'stuck' on 25. Anyone know which player had 26? Tried to google it but got nowhere.

I read somewhere years ago that Nobby Solano was the most substituted player in Prem history.

No idea how many and if this was in a single season.

Healey would have to be up there too

Here's the last time Leicester finished above each club in this year's PL

(Pyramid places above other club on that occasion in brackets; D means the other lot were a division below at the time, for these I've also worked out the year Leicester last finished above them in the same division).

*Edit: Leicester's finishing position that season (so this year would be top league first place, 1-1).

Interesting and strangely surprising although probably because I'd never given it a thought.

I'm  a bit confused by the figures in brackets as I thought pyramid referred to the league hierarchy

It does - looking at that I think it's if you listed 1st in PL to 24th in L2 as 1st to 92nd, how far ahead we'd be. So if we finished 17th in the PL, we'd be 4 places ahead of whoever won the championship in his numbers.

Exactly. Edited to include Leicester's final position in each relevant season for easy comparison

Appreciate this is a crazy stat page dedicated to highlighting our success this season, and it may seem odd to be delving into our failures now of all times. I think I'm just trying to truly understand what this season means by comparing it to the not-so-distant past.

Anyway... in our relegation season to League One we went down with the second best defensive record. Is that common knowledge? Can't believe I didn't know that already. Outrageous stat.

Yes, only Crystal Palace who finished 5th had a better defence. In fact, we conceded the same amount of goals in 2010 when finishing 5th and only two fewer in the 2014 Championship winning season.

You do remember we had Megson for part of that season and played 6 at the back at stages. It was dire. Started with some promise under Allen I thought

Just a bit more "last time above other clubs". Some of those seasons are in the 2nd tier.

Now there's nothing wrong with that, and most would probably leave it there, but I wondered when it last happened with both clubs in the first tier. So here goes...

1999-2000 Watford (12) 1-8

1997-98 Crystal Palace (10) 1-10

1985-86 West Bromwich Albion (3) 1-19

1984-85 Norwich City (5) 1-15

1984-85 Stoke City (7) 1-15

1974-75 Chelsea (3) 1-18

AFC Bournemouth - NEVER

Swansea City - NEVER

Oh it was, collectively some of the worst football you'll see. We scored 23 at home that season. In the 8 seasons since we've averaged 40 goals a season in our home games.

Looking back, with 20/20 hindsight as to point tallies eventually accumulated by all other teams, this is when Leicester hit certain milestones this season.

19 September 2015 following away draw with Stoke City:

Not the worst ever

Beat the lowest ever points tally in any League divison since 3 points were awarded for a win (11, Derby County 2007-08)

19 December 2015 following win at Everton:

Survival

Had more points than final tally of highest relegated team this season (37, Newcastle United)

13 January 2016 following win at Tottenham Hotspur:

Better than last year

Had more points than LCFC's final tally last season (42)

6 February 2016 following win at Manchester City:

Top half finish

Had more points than final tally of team who ultimately finished 10th this season (50, Chelsea)

14 March 2016 following home win over Newcastle United:

Europe

Had more points than final tally of lowest European qualifier this season (62, West Ham United)

3 April 2016 following home win over Southampton:

Champions League

Had more points than final tally of lowest Champions League qualifier this season (66, Manchester City)

10 April 2016 following win at Sunderland:

Premier League champions

Had more points than final tally of second place (71, Arsenal)
