Leicesterpool Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Hate to use these words but I'm afraid he's a bit of a flop, in the short spell of time we've seen him he just doesn't seem to have pace and time for the premier league. It's a shame but his exit will be best for both parties.
Fox92 Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 It's tough for Inler because he's obviously a very good footballer. At the end of the day he captains a good National side and has played over 100 times for both Napoli and Udinese. But a combination of our quick counter attacking style and the form of both Kante and Drinkwater mean Inler's chances are limited. If he needs to move to play then so be it, I won't begrudge him for that.
americanfox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 lets replace a player who isnt playing. If the choice was between Inler and De Jong, I'd absolutely absolutely prefer Inler. But seeing that he probably does need minutes for this upcoming summer, wouldn't begrudge him a move whether on loan or permanent. Ranieri probably brought him in anticipating playing a more possession-based style, but that hasn't worked out given this squad's strengths. If Inler leaves, would still need cover though as I don't trust James will be at match fitness up to this new standard for this season.
bmt Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Villa interested apparently. Loan may suit us. http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/remi-garde-reveals-aston-villa-10640771?

Loan may suit us. http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/remi-garde-reveals-aston-villa-10640771? Interesting to see their interest in Toulalan--- when Ranieri was announced as the new manager, I though Toulalan might be a potential signing for us, given their Monaco connection.
Royston. Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 shouldnt help villa. imagine if he helped them stay up, we'd never forgive ourselves.
Webbo Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 shouldnt help villa. imagine if he helped them stay up, we'd never forgive ourselves. If he helped them take points off Arsenal and M City he'd be more useful to us than he is now.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 That loan move would be a really good option for us. Get half a season playing in the premier league, then he can go play well in the Euro's then come back to us a new player in the summer!
ronnup Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Good move for him. He's behind king and James too when they're fit.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Good move for him. He's behind king and James too when they're fit. How do you know he's behind James?
RizLCFC Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 I'd rather we sold him to Villa, they've got money and they're recruitment team always seem to pay too much for players, I'm sure we could get £3-£4 million for him.
Lestoh Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 As if Villa think anyone wants to play for them anymore
coolhandfox Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 We would need I'd rather we sold him to Villa, they've got money and they're recruitment team always seem to pay too much for players, I'm sure we could get £3-£4 million for him. However we would need a replacement as 4 CM's is not enough if we have injuries or want out play with a 3 at any point.

Bluearmyfox28 Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 I think he will literally come back as a new player next summer. I haven't gave up hope on him yet! I've seen him play a few times in Italy & he's look ace.
Fox 4 Life Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Would be a shame as we haven't really seen what he can do, I would have liked to have seen him given a shot over King. I suppose a loan to Villa would make sense as it would show if he's up to the prem and if he is we just call him back!

Will1981 Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Would rather James go to Villa on loan I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy
Guest Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 http://www.turkish-football.com/leicester-city-midfielder-inler-linked-with-galatasaray-loan-move/
LegendOfJoe Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 I think offering Inler on loan to Villa would be the best option - if he gets game time then we can see if he's up to it in the league
TJB-fox Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Best move for everyone. He gets to play regular prem football and settle in England fully without having to up sticks (assuming he lives nearish the Midlands!), so he'll be fit and ready for the Euros. He can then come back to us next summer basically as a new signing. Don't see the point in selling him now, he only cost a few million so we might as well risk it and hope he can turn into the player we know he is
VLC86 Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 If their is interest in Italy which their clearly is I will be surprised if he stays in England.
