Izzy Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 We're SECOND in the Premier League on goal difference at the half way stage. We're 8 POINTS clear of fifth place and have a genuine and realistic chance of qualifying for the Champions League for the first time in our history. We've exceeded everybody's expectations and people are respecting us and taking us seriously for the first time I can remember in 35 years. These are heady days and we should all take stock and recognise what an amazing achievement this is. Whatever happens, we should be grateful and proud of our wonderful team right now..
Monsell1976 Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Staying up is nailed on, now see where the season takes us, anything from here is a bonus.
stevelcfc Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Take each game as it comes, as long as we don't expect/demand excellence we can play without pressure and fear of failure. Anything above relegation is a bonus and above 14th is brilliant progression. Lets see where the wind takes us.
weller54 Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 We'll finish 4th.. Behind city, spurs and Arsenal... That will be incredible!
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Truly amazing times for our football club. Moments like this are great for the fans to treasure.
MooseBreath Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 We'll all be telling our grandkids about this team. It doesn't get much better. I don't know about anyone else but I've already reached orgasm, and I'm now basking in a warm glow, genuinely unconcerned about what happens next, just glad that I've finally been able to deposit a load I've been holding onto since Stan Collymore's hatrick. Edit fckin hell as if shrapnel pancake face beat me to an orgasm joke.
crisp packet Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Hats off to everybody at the club . League must take priority ! 50 point target then 60, 70 etc. Dare to dream . We have nothing to lose ! It's amazing . We are amazing!! COYB Be gutted not to get Europe now?

Just one of the most beautiful verses I've ever read on FT
whetstonefox Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 We have just witnessed one of the most remarkable years in the clubs history.
promised land Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 We have just witnessed one of the most remarkable years in the clubs history. Not even a year, from the Spurs away league game onwards, what was that, March? Amazing.
whoareyaaa Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Its going to be an exciting 3 months thats for sure, if we manage to get Champions League football at the end of it then what the actual ****.
KFS Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Think about how you felt when that Watford goal went in. If only we'd had known.
fuchsntf Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 Its going to be an exciting 3 months thats for sure, if we manage to get Champions League football at the end of it then what the actual ****. Exciting 5 months, with fa-cup final.
Monsell1976 Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 Exciting 5 months, with fa-cup final.Big question, would you prefer a cup run, and risk dropping out the top 4, or play the reserves in the cup and concentrate on the league.I know we would all like a cup run and top 4, but with our squad it would be hard to do both.
sdb Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 Without sounding really boring we just have to go one game at a time. Saturday is a real test. Bournemouth cover more ground than any other side in the league. They're the first team to play us twice so will know what to expect a little more. I think some of our squad are running on fumes too. Lose that and you know this place will go into meltdown. Important we do our bit as fans in the slightly less exotic fixtures for the rest of the season (and beyond).

I know we would all like a cup run and top 4, but with our squad it would be hard to do both. I have no preference....We play for the double, enjoy the ride, see where it ends. We'll see in May who pays the ferryman, and which boat. Now All teams think they will have sussed us out, Claudio will confuse them, with double-bluff.
ThaiFox Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 Big question, would you prefer a cup run, and risk dropping out the top 4, or play the reserves in the cup and concentrate on the league. I know we would all like a cup run and top 4, but with our squad it would be hard to do both. This is interesting. IF we qualify for Europe, we'll have a lot more games, so a long cup run and continued success in the league will prepare the players for how next season might progress with the extra games. However, from what Ranieri said after last night's match, if he is thinking it will be hard to keep up the high pressure game we play for another 19 games, I can't see him playing anything other than the League Cup side when we play Twattingham.
Great Boos Up Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 Oh no, the whole stop, collaborate and listen song has got lost in the site crash. I forgot what verse we were on.
enmac Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 We'll finish 4th.. Behind city, spurs and Arsenal... That will be incredible! As it stands I agree. But I worry about Liverpool- I think they'll spend big this window.Unless we buy another couple of quality players, I can see 5th place. We have to speculate- these chances are so rare for any team that's not in the established top 4.
waylander Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 I think it's going to be tough to win it top four possible. But the way everyone is pulling together I wouldn't want to back against us in any game. We're joint top On merit two new faces would be good usain bolt that kit woman from Chelsea she rubs the balls well
Vardinio'sCat Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 unbelievable achievement, I'll never forget this season/year for as long as I live. It has been proper 'Roy of the Rovers' stuff. I'm so happy for the people of Leicester. After the painful post-MON comedown, they finally have a team that is doing them proud again.

Liverpool concern me too, I watched them last night against Sunderland and Klopp has toughened them up a bit. Although they will play better teams than Sunderland. The January window is never that busy but I think that may be different this time round. I can see a few big clubs throwing some cash at trying to restore normal service at the top of the league.
