Long Eaton Fox Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 I believe we only signed Dyer because we couldn't get Gray in the summer. Now we've got both, who's the best and will we sign Dyer after his loan expires?
ramboacdc Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 we wont sign dyer once his loan his up. i think gray is the long term replacement for him. and a good one at that.
Izzy Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 we wont sign dyer once his loan his up. i think gray is the long term replacement for him. and a good one at that. Probably this. But interesting how Dyer has gone down in so many estimations based on Saturdays performance. Seems you're only as good as your last match on here sometimes...
filbertstreet Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 dyer didn't play on saturday that was chris rock
Gerard Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Probably this. But interesting how Dyer has gone down in so many estimations based on Saturdays performance. Seems you're only as good as your last match on here sometimes... Not really Howie me ole mucker. Im my eyes Dyer was always a squad player and never good enough for our first XI, now we have four wide players who are ahead of him there's no chance we will buy him and I wouldn't want him here anyway. He filled a gap when we needed it and he'll be back off to Swansea in the summer.
psychonaut Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 How is this even a question? Gray may look to have potential but at this stage that all it really is and potential seems to be ten a penny these days. Fulfilling his potential and proving he is a consistently good player at this level is a completely different story. Many players at the top of their game have tried to ply their trade in the premier league and failed - Dyer has proven he is a more than capable player in this league and retains a wealth of experience at both the top two tiers. Its a no brainer.
Kinkuwap Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Thought this was going to be a nostalgic thread about Lloyd.
TheMightySystem Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 why couldnt we sign gray in the summer Dont think he wanted to join at the time, maybe thought he wouldn't be getting the same amount of game time he would get a Birmingham. Maybe he feels now he has developed as much as he can at Birmingham and needs to move on to further himself, much like how Mahrez apparently rejected contracts from top French teams while at Le Harve as he knew it wouldnt be best for his development due to lack of game time at those clubs, but next summer if he gets offers from those same clubs he may be more inclined now to accept as he has massively improved his game to the point where he can probably get into the first team. Is Gray pacey? Don't know much about him. Judge him yourself but I would say yes
Foxstone Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 i mentioned in another thread but where does Tom Lawrence now sit in the pecking order? - arguably his performances in the Championship have been better than Grays', this season at least. Rumoured interest from several other clubs, surely we won't be selling?

He is a good player from the sounds of blackburn fans just needs to be more clinical infront of goal
CharlieCharles Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Probably this. But interesting how Dyer has gone down in so many estimations based on Saturdays performance. Seems you're only as good as your last match on here sometimes... This is absolutely spot on. The different between the Everton and Liverpool game was incredible, went from p****** the league to a top 8 finish in the space of a week.

psychonaut Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 It is a no brainer Dyer wont be here next season and Gray will And you know this how?! Based on what? So if Dyer starts to really perform and cements a place in the team helping us achieve our best ever PL finish - I'm guessing you'll still be of the same opinion?
shen Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Probably this. But interesting how Dyer has gone down in so many estimations based on Saturdays performance. Seems you're only as good as your last match on here sometimes... He's looked pretty poor/average for the most part. Granted, he's not had much of a chance, but he's not made the most of the opportunities given so far.
Sampson Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Gray is 19 who was in and out of Birmingham's team. He's obviously got potential for the future, but let's not be daft, Dyer should be ahead of him right now.

fuchsntf Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Lets turn it around somewhat....... Gray v Mahrez Albrighton v Schlupp Gray v Schlupp Schlupp v Dyer Dyer v Albrighton Mahrez v Dyer Dodoo v Gray Dodoo v Mahrez so on, and so on..... Silly really innit, just like the thread... Another thing, the same boring posters, have started their monthlys by picking out another player for their sloppy illogical negative opinions, its let have a go at Dyer period. Now you can all have a dig at me about your right...blah blah, blah. TROLLS!!!

Gray's one for the future, Dyer is a far bit better right now and that's all that matters. There's no reason we can't have Dyer as well.
