Wow what is football now when a team struggling to survive can reject £17million from a fellow struggling team.

That's euros, 17 million euros is around 9 million quid.

A bit annoying to spend €17m on a player they got on a Bosman six months a go.

Ah right, ok, still a decent amount though isn't it.

Quality player who Swansea had to pay wedge in wages just to get him to sign, unless we somehow get them to supplement his costs I dont see this as feasible.

Like if they go down first and cant get him to go off because they value him at 15m+ and they still pay him we could look at a loan (Remy QPR>Newcastle). But unless we want to lob money at it I dont see it happening this window.

Good post.

£100k a week I believe he signed for on a Bosman and no doubt a large signing on fee.

We won't pay him that and he won't want a drop in wages so if we did get him it will only be if Swansea get relegated and his new wage is £50k a week.

If he signs for another club, he will want a big chunk of his contract paying up as part of the deal. Either that or he got most of the 100k a week as a signing on fee so it's already in his bank account. as I said, no way will Swansea commit PL hari Kari by selling him now.

As much as he went to Swansea on a bosman, they actually had to pay Ayew and his agent around £6M. Plus hefty wages as mentioned above. Can't see us being interested in this.

Rather have him than Adebayor.

The latter being on a reported £220,000 a week, only plays when a blue moon happens and has attitude problems.

For a minute there I thought you said Adebayor was on £220k a week = £11+ million a year. Fvck my boots, the worlds gone mad if that's true...
