goose2010 Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 This is a entirely predictable problem we've brought on ourselves with the complete inadequacy of our January window activities. And not the only one. What a missed opportunity it was. No full-back to replace DeLaet as cover, Amarthey seemingly short of even being ready to play, Gray looking far too fragile to replace Schlupp at this stage (if ever), no alternative strikers and two left-footers as our only obvious options for both full-back positions. It was a catalogue of errors sunk the Titanic and the same could happen to our season, for all that both were entirely preventable. No I don't think it will. But it's left us unnecessarily vulnerable. Gray has done for in the brief game time he has had than Schlupp did in the past 8-10 appearances for us, he was dire before he got injured.
Sammy Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Was is quite possibly the worst right back I have ever seen.if anyone went sheff weds away they will fully understand. If I remember rightly you're bang on, two goals conceded from him being out of position and then getting nowhere near the player to stop the cross/shot I feel if Wasyl plays it will have to be at CB, whether that is moving to 3 at the back or playing Albrighton/Amartey at rb instead.
Fox92 Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Wasyl always makes stupid challenges and on Sunday we paid the biggest price for it. Remember in the Cup when he fouled Kane just over the half way line for no reason. Just stand. Never seen this Amartey play, Moore won't feature so although I'm not De Laet's biggest fan I don't really get his loan.

Thracian Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 I see your post count shoots up after a loss. I never imagined you taking note of my post count but I'll take your word!

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Amartey will be fine by the time the Norwich game comes around, however I'm sure Wasyl will get the nod anyway
EnderbyFox Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 One loss signals the return of doomsday Thracian
Thracian Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Gray has done for in the brief game time he has had than Schlupp did in the past 8-10 appearances for us, he was dire before he got injured. If you've seen more in him than I have so far, I'm delighted. I sincerely hope that Gray turns out to be brilliant. He's got talent, no question. Depends how determined he is to improve but I see much of that as being in the future rather than this season. You don't get strength overnight. Or the dynanism and ruthlessness needed to make skills count at the top level. To some extent the two go together.
Thracian Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 One loss signals the return of doomsday Thracian None of my comments have anything to do with our "loss" or what I'd rather think of as "robbery". Until reduced to 10-men I think we'd have won and thought our team performance excellent. As for "Doomsday" I consistently saw no reason we shouldn't win all our last four games while others were chuntering about "settling for a draw now".
AKCJ Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 There's nothing "honest" about it. That's exactly the attitude that would get us turned over. This is Norwich, the side who have lost something like 7 on the bounce. We beat them at their place with De Laet and Schlupp as our full backs. We should be more than good enough to beat them. Call it arrogance, but it's the truth. If we slip up then it'll be because we were well below our standard and Norwich played well above theirs. We should be tonking these if we have aspirations of avoiding relegation let alone top4/the title.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 We shouldn't ever underestimate any side we play against Deserve all we get if we do

Would love to know how long it is going to take schlupp to develop like you say Gray needs to as I couldn't name you a more frustrating player in the squad to watch, he just switches off to easily and looks like he has no idea where he is or what he is meant to be doing!
AKCJ Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 We shouldn't ever underestimate any side we play against Deserve all we get if we do I'm not underestimating them though, am I?
goose2010 Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 We shouldn't ever underestimate any side we play against Deserve all we get if we do I think as fans it is easy to, but the players wont can assure you of that they will be watching videos of Norwich and seeing where they can exploit there weaknesses and training exactly the same and preparing the same as they would against anyone else. The lads will know the fight that Norwich will put up because they aren't much different to we were last season, they get into games look like they should win and then balls it up very similar to us last season. Like I have said in the past we play to our full ability we will beat anyone in this league.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 I'm not underestimating them though, am I?Sounds like you are to meYour call
AKCJ Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Sounds like you are to me Your call They're in desperate form. It's not underestimating them to acknowledge that.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 They're in desperate form. It's not underestimating them to acknowledge that.I hope you are right and I hope we turn them over easilyUp the Foxes
AKCJ Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 I hope you are right and I hope we turn them over easily Up the Foxes Yeah i'm not saying we should turn up and expect to win. We should turn up and flatten them like we know we can. There's a fine line between arrogance and complacency. I want us to be arrogant and absolutely hammer them.
UPinCarolina Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Based on the amount his name is being thrown around, is Schlupp being healthy a sure thing? Even if he is healthy, will he be fully fit? I can see a time share.

If you turn up to a game expecting to win then that CAN effect your work rate and level of hard work needed and then you'll lose.

If we play as we have done all season then we'll win. It's that simple really.
filbertway Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Where was all this shite after the man city game? Knowitall! Plenty of people said it at the end of the transfer window.
filbertway Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 I've not indicated otherwise. If we play as we have done all season then we'll win. It's that simple really. I think they think you are one of the players.
