What message does that send to our permanent squad and he by making this statement believes that he would just walk into the starting 11. We are better than this either he joins on a permament deal and fights for a place or does one as far as I am concerned. We are not a risk taking club - we ALWAYS play safe, which bemuses me, given where we sit in the league. Take the risk, roll the dice... become Champions or at least a Champions League side. Think Big for Once!

I could give you more examples like Sven, Mills end Beckford for about £9m in the championship. Another mess. We're aiming for consistent top level performances, we have a plan in place we intend to follow for our long term goal. Chasing the short term dream is all well and good... Unless you don't make it and have to deal with the shit storm afterwards. I'd rather put my trust in the owners plan, rather than a few porple getting in a mess because we've not chucked shit loads of cash about.
