shade Posted 30 January 2016 Posted 30 January 2016 There is little concept of value on this forum and a lack of negotiation skills. I wouldn't be surprised if the Russians are very happy with our £18.7m offer but are trying it on because they believe we will be desperate enough to pay over the odds just to land the player. I remember selling my first house and it was up for £80k, I struggled to sell it for a few months and then got an offer of £78k. I was happy with that but rejected it as it was there first offer. They never bid again and I had to tell the estate agent two weeks later that I would accept it if the offer was still on the table. I believe CSKA are playing us like this and I'd rather go into the last 15 games with what we have than bending over to their demands if we think we're paying over the odds. No doubt one of us will blink in the next 48 hours. forget musa, did you end up selling the house? we need answers.
Countryfox Posted 30 January 2016 Posted 30 January 2016 What was that joke ... bloke says "I'll give you £25 for a shag" ... woman says "I wouldn't shag you for £25 !!" .... bloke says "Right so all we've got to do now is sort out the price" ... Thats where we are at ... he's happy to come here and we want him here so unless we get anyone else instead ... lets just wait for it to happen.
Buzzell Posted 30 January 2016 Posted 30 January 2016 Its general smart business we're doing now, dont really understand what people are saying why offer them what they want straight away when we MIGHT be able to get him cheaper, its simple business. Or maybe not get him cheaper? Or maybe somebody else might be willing to go in for him and nab him? Suppose the Don knows best.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 30 January 2016 Posted 30 January 2016 Or maybe not get him cheaper? Or maybe somebody else might be willing to go in for him and nab him? Suppose the Don knows best. Depends how desperate you are, it is a risk you take in trying to get him for a better price... we obviously aren't that desperate really and are willing to take the risk to ensure we are getting him at the price we feel is right. We won't be bullied
gerrytaggart Posted 30 January 2016 Posted 30 January 2016 ITK?yep.ITK stands for irrefutably talented knob right??
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 30 January 2016 Posted 30 January 2016 forget musa, did you end up selling the house? we need answers. Given he mentions 'remember selling my first house' it's clear he did sell it at some point. What's not clear however is what price he ended up getting for it.

I think its: Man: If I offered you a £1,000,000 would you have sex with me? Woman: Yes Man: What if I offered you £1, would you have sex with me? Woman: Certainly not, what kind of woman do you take me for? Man: We've already established that, now we're just haggling on the price. Oscar Wilde was it?
