Still alive.

Maybe we submitted our final bid and told them that was it and moved back to Remy?

Deal is apparently still alive if the right offer comes in.

Getting bored of this deal, we are going to have to pay what they want or forget it.

Same as Leonardo deal, we tried to go in cheap, but still ended up paying over the odds.

At the end of the day, we need him, more than they need to sell him, he's contracted for some time yet, so either pay what they want or we need to move on.

Over odds? Ulloas goals last season are one of the main reasons we are going to trouser 10s of millions over the next few years

Liverpool now opened talks with Musa....

If we want him we are gonna have to pay the buy out clause. £22.8 million.

Make your mind up time Top!

Man Utd wanted him this time yesterday didn't they?  Not sure we can believe every rumour.

Considering the fact that we had to wait fir Kramaric to leave there's no way we will be bringing two strikers in. There's no way Musa will be joining now.

It's always plane sailing from you isn't it . . . .

Thanks for the info mate.

You get the feeling those saying "pay the bloody money" would be the first ones moaning about it being a waste of money if he wasn't up to it.

So you don't want us to 'pay the bloody money' then?

Every player is a risk, wether we pay £18m or £21m is not going to make any difference to the success or failure of the player.

I say get it done before anyone else comes sniffing. We've got to trust our scouts, up to now the majority of signings have been roaring success's.

It wouldnt be foxestalk if everyone didn't moan about everything though.

I suspect we're being hold to a ransom, just like any top-performing club would be - and trying to negotiate things lower.

Yes and most of the posters on this thread would have no idea of what is sometimes required as a business to do to continue momentum on and off the field.

Having a prominent Nigerian player in the team would open many doors in all aspects of the business, on the pitch and behind the scenes.

Sometimes it is more than just how many goals a man can score.

There is little concept of value on this forum and a lack of negotiation skills.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Russians are very happy with our £18.7m offer but are trying it on because they believe we will be desperate enough to pay over the odds just to land the player.

I remember selling my first house and it was up for £80k, I struggled to sell it for a few months and then got an offer of £78k. I was happy with that but rejected it as it was there first offer. They never bid again and I had to tell the estate agent two weeks later that I would accept it if the offer was still on the table.

I believe CSKA are playing us like this and I'd rather go into the last 15 games with what we have than bending over to their demands if we think we're paying over the odds. No doubt one of us will blink in the next 48 hours.

If it didn't happen on FIFA16, it didn't happen mate!

The problem with just paying the amount they want is that it makes us look weak in future deals that may happen. If clubs know we will end up playing anything then of course they will set the transfer fee as high as possible. Even though paying the extra 2mil for musa may not seem like much, it could be massive in the long run

I mean just look at liverpool, who panic purchased and vastly overpaid for Carroll and are still to this day are paying inflated fees for players because clubs know they can extort them for money

Its general smart business we're doing now, dont really understand what people are saying why offer them what they want straight away when we MIGHT be able to get him cheaper, its simple business.
