Raw Dykes Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Love how people think Amartey is going to be back up for Simpson. We clearly didn't buy him to sit on the bench, and especially not for RB. Who said he's going to sit on the bench? I don't think anyone thinks that Amartey is only going to play if Simpson's injured - just that he can play RB, meaning we can lose De Laet if necessary. Amartey could be 1st choice CM or CB (or maybe even RM), but still be moved to RB if Simpson's not available.
lgfualol Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Reading Boro fans on twitter saying "he'll be a good back-up". So he could be going from Premier league back-up to Championship back-up
Guest Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Don't think we should be letting any player go who has first team time on the field this season unless we've got in a better replacement. Amartey means 1 defender can go.
Nick Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Surprised at this - we obviously bought Amartey as a right back.
M0901 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 If he goes, good luck to him. Solid player who at times has produced the goods. Any abuse he gets is absolutely absurd
ramboacdc Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 hes off! got to explain to my daughter that the man on her wall dont play for us now.
themightyfin Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Hes gone and with Benny going are we bringing in a RB?
lgfualol Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 hes off! got to explain to my daughter that the man on her wall dont play for us now. Of all the players, she has the weirdest looking one on her wall?
GaelicFox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Who is going to hold back Vardy and his missus from attacking Japan ? Of all the players, she has the weirdest looking one on her wall? Bit harsh
lfcfan Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Of all the players, she has the weirdest looking one on her wall? You're the biggest loser of the Forum throughout the season Rdl could nothing good for you... I hope he gets back his good form
SecretPro Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 You're the biggest loser of the Forum throughout the season Rdl could nothing good for you... I hope he gets back his good form Are you a liverpool fan?
ramboacdc Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Of all the players, she has the weirdest looking one on her wall? she likes to collect the posters from games. shes already ran out of room. You're the biggest loser of the Forum throughout the season Rdl could nothing good for you... I hope he gets back his good form i know the words...but not in this order...
ramboacdc Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 pic doing the rounds of him at their training ground.
MC Prussian Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Sounds like we're after an emergency loan deal in the right-back department. I suppose Boro would still have to agree on the deal after a successful medical. No matter where our players end up on loan, I do hope they're successful. Also, I think Middlesbrough would deserve coming back up to the Premier League - Karanka is building something longer-lasting.
st albans fox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Does this mean Amartey will be used at RB? Only thing I can think of is that he is trusted to cover Simpson.
Matt Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Apparently he's just arrived at the Boro training ground ahead of a loan deal, he wasn't originally keen on a loan but has since changed his mind.
Matt Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Oh, I thought he was just going for a tour of their training ground...
Fox seen in Norwich Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Does this mean Amartey will be used at RB? I'm wandering this too...
RowlattsFox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Suprised by this but Claudio obviously feels a combination of benny and Amartey and maybe even Albrighton can cover.
