Bagworthblue Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Everyone on here saying they trust the club... The scouts and Club management should be trusted etc etc should realise we have spent this window tracking, negotiating, flying helicopters back and forth in order to fill a gap that all those people you trust thought we needed. So badly needed that a helicopter was scrabbled in high winds to make something happen! I hate to say it but I trust these people and also think we need another striker if not two!!! how about you just follow the advice on your own avatar eh?
J.Lisemore Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 The one that annoys me the most is Doumbia as that was clearly a realistic prospect. On loan would've been virtually risk-free too. I'm pretty sure he'd have chosen us over Newcastle as well. Exactly, would have been perfect for us to be honest.
Great Boos Up Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I'm alright with the situation. Everything seemed a bit of panic for a January overpriced striker whom may/may not fit.
BlueJoe Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 That's bollocks! sorry but it's bollocks that you value the reward more than me - trust me on that one! Look NONE of us have any knowledge to be able to throw £5 quid around as if it were loose change because I certainly haven't seen the LCFC books - Have you? It's not as simple as saying - we will get £Xm for CL football so £22m is a snip. The £22m spend may not have any impact - he may get injured. It is not a certainty that £22 million spend will buy you CL football - it might increase your chances but equally it may not. Look I am pissed off. I wanted a striker - I wanted Musa but I am maintaining the level head that I hope the people at our club responsible for dealing with millions of £s are maintaining. £22m is a hell of a lot of money for a club currently valued at £140m When the club has been bailed out by the Thais to the tune of £100mil + it is and will always be a snippet. The Thais didn't buy the club because they love Leicester, because the love Football they are business men! Us being in the CL or winning this league create an exponential increase in the clubs stock! The club will never ever admit they got this wrong but give it a months and they may well believe it! I haven't seen the books however we know how the club has been run over the last few years. We know about the debt write off we know of the premier league money they have received and we know what the projected earning can be. When we sit and look at Newcastle spending £50mil this window don't kid me that we couldn't afford £23mil We made 2 bids for this guy, we obviously wanted him and scouted him. We have now just wasted all that energy and resource over £5mil! If he was good enough to fit the squad and into the way of playing we should have got him in! Those people you obviously (rightly) trust wanted this guy or another to go to lot of trouble to get him or someone else! That to me tell me they know what we needed to do to finish this season off strongly!
Guest Mee-9 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I think we've had a mare loaning out RDL and Benalouloulouloulouliulouloiulouoane.
Gary Eatfood Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I'm alright with the situation. Everything seemed a bit of panic for a January overpriced striker whom may/may not fit. Same here. And all the pundits on 5live seem to think we had the best transfer window. I'm inclined to agree. No unsettling of Mahrez and Vardy, Gray looks very accomplished and hopefully Amartey can do the business.
HighPeakFox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 How interesting - the radio 5 'experts' think we've had the best transfer window
UPinCarolina Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 on loan at bury aint he? I believe so, unaware if he has a recall clause.
BlueJoe Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 how about you just follow the advice on your own avatar eh? I'm calm I'm just frustrated. We needed another body and didn't get it. Feels like we have just shot ourselves in Vardys foot!!! Hahaha
southfox66 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Question is do we trust Ulloa if all fails well the answer now is, he doesn't have the room to fail, we have no fall back, short of recalling Kramaric.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 How interesting - the radio 5 'experts' think we've had the best transfer window They probably thought we might lose players, which wasn't ever going to happen
BlueJoe Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 well the answer now is, he doesn't have the room to fail, we have no fall back, short of recalling Kramaric. we can't recall Kramaric by all accounts! If he was recalled he wouldn't be eligible to play!
Foxy_jim Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 No other club at the top has bought. At least we ain't Villa.
UPinCarolina Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Is Joe Dodoo available? I believe his loan went up at Bury.

That to me tell me they know what we needed to do to finish this season off strongly! ok - this is simple - convince me and show me the books. Because without them and the detailed evidence within the simplistic view that you take that £5m is peanuts shows me only one thing. That I will never employ you in a financial position in any business I am ever part of. What cost of capital assumptions are you making when you calculate the NPV of this deal? What risk assumptions have you considered. Have you considered FFP? or are you just doing some fag packet maths on the assumption £22m will 100% guarantee the club £40m + ?
Nickfosse Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Question is do we trust Ulloa if all fails If he plays the last 6 games of the season like he played his first 6 games for us, he'll be fine.Thought he did alright against Stoke last week n all.
Bagworthblue Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I'm calm I'm just frustrated. We needed another body and didn't get it. Feels like we have just shot ourselves in Vardys foot!!! Hahaha let's make up - i'm frustrated too just used to having to accept disapointment
southfox66 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 we can't recall Kramaric by all accounts! If he was recalled he wouldn't be eligible to play! Oh that make slightly worse, but not much. That's papers for you I read we had clause in loan deal to bring him back if we had injury problems

We are football fans not accountants and you are working on the assumption we couldn't afford this despite the fact everything actually points to our recruitment team being flown around the houses!!! The Thais stated on record last season there was £150 mil to be spent to secure European football within 3 years! That's all the evidence I need!

I wanted him too bud!
fuchsntf Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 So we did try and chase 3-4 strikers, didnt work. Kramaric sent out on loan, Lawrence to Cardiff on loan. RDL +Benny out on loan, most likely not to return.Club happy with cover, on both accounts. Gray, Armstey, and young goalkeeper added. Not content, but what is, IS. I am a little disappointed, but not going to stamp my feet. Tomorrows bench will be interesting....
Nickfosse Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Big money signings never seem to work for us. Let's keep going the way we do. Getting the job done. Chin up chaps
