Lcfcwatto Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Frankly i would take things as they are rather than spend 20 odd million on some unkown entity. If we were that desperate for a striker the gaffer would have got one long before the final hour on deadline day. Cheer up, were top of the league afterall, although you wouldnt think it reading some of the things on here.

Maybe the gaffer has been trying long before the final hour!!!
vulpes0763 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 point the finger at whom?[/quote The club in general, I don't know exactly who. The club ! We are top of the league ! The owners have shown intent to invest .Just because the deals have fallen through, it is the clubs fault? Why should we pay over the odds for a player? Hope the owners do not read some of the crap comments on this forum!

Cheer up, were top of the league afterall, although you wouldnt think it reading some of the things on here. yes but ... we were desperate, if we werent we wouldnt have been linked with musa, remy, diouf and gayle all on the last day - that's how desperate the backroom staff were to land someone - if it meant that much to them then surely they must be just as disappointed as the majority of fans on here?
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Very disappointed. Waits for Babylon et al to come on to say it don't matter, they'd have been too expensive etc etc etc. If ever there was a time to get in another good striker, it was now. Disappointing...
Vlad the Fox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 seriously? how many times have we been top of the PL before in Feb - with 16 games left - in your life time? we have a grip, to bury your head in the sand on it suggests you don't. Oh shit, I'd better panic and squeal like a kid then. That'll sort it.
An Away Move Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Of course it's the owner's money and we don't want to get a reputation for paying well over the odds for players. BUT I am surprised we didn't trigger Musa's release clause for the sake of £5m. I'd have looked at the difference between £18m and £23m as insurance money. If we, God forbid, get an injury to Vardy we could fall away. What would be the difference in EPL prize money alone between say 7th and a top 4 position? An injection of a really dangerous partner to Vardy could have given us a big boost too; perhaps enough of a boost to win the thing. If that might be an outlandish thought, maybe it is equally outlandish to not take out that insurance of getting that extra striker.
Spiritwalker Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I'm still in denial about this. I'll save my disappointment till 11.
fuchsntf Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 doom and gloom merchants working overtime tonight ! Yeh its amazing how many transfer experts we have in this forum. We only have to click our fingers, and we can suddenly, buy, interest and close out any deal. Whats worse is the silly throw away statements, as though theyve made a point., like throwing our best chances away for this or that position. Kramaric issue I didnt understand...Whatever all the descisions that the club have made so far this season cannot in anyway be considered poor, and more importantly this season not from panic but a position of strength..
ramboacdc Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Dodoo could be the emergency 4th? on loan at bury aint he?
GaelicFox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Rudkin wouldn't want to be a sensitive man Seems Him and ed Woodwards are the dumb and dumber of the premier league admin world
dannythefox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Vardy will get injured tomorrow and out for 4 weeks.
katieakita Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Sky now saying we missed out on Diouf as well so not such a bad thing and there is still an hour to go
foxinsox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Get a grip! We have the same 3 strikers and midfield that got us 47 points from 23 games. Gray looks useful and Schlupp is back, Mahrez has his sparkle back and Vardy over his groin operation. We have 15 games left with few midweek games, 5th place is 10 points (and goal difference) behind us and all the rivals have midweek games to contend with. Sure if the right striker was availible then we should have bought at the right price, but the wrong striker could wreck the winning formula. Trust Don Ranieri. He knows what he is doing.

Kasey Keller Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 F**k it lets get falcao in on 250,000 a week no sweat
Foxxed Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 on loan at bury aint he? Naah, came back a while ago. Scored an actual goal for the under 21s last match. GERRRMMMMIN (to sit on the bench)
dmayne7 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I would never have been annoyed by missing out on the title. Now, no matter how spoilt it makes me, I will be livid and blame it on only having 3 feckin strikers. Absolute farce.
Karljohn Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Strange that as it stands we've reduced our striking options in January. 15 games to go and massively reliant on Vardy. Not convinced by Okazaki or Ulloa.
BlueJoe Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 my god shall we tell the Thai's to clear off , another numpty fan ! We were going no where until the investment from our current owners . At this very moment we have built a team that is going to finish in the highest position for a very long time. When I read comments like yours I really wonder about the intelligence of some of the people who post on here! What is the aim?????? Why ****ing compete in the league that we are just happy to be in! We will not have this opportunity again definitely not in our life time that's for sure! I'm sorry that some 'fans' are here to win something not just just turn up once a week. Yes the Thais have done us well and yes you can't knock where they have brought us to do... BUT we are here now so why is it ok to go all Arsene Wenger on it and be happy to be here. I'm sorry I wanted to see them really throw the dice and gamble! After all with European football next year the bigger squad wouldn't harm us!!!

Do people honestly not understand the concept of injuries? Before the window - one injury and ok, we could stick Kramaric on the bench as a fourth choice striker. Now we can't. Yes we've still got the nucleus of the side that got us top, but we've just made ourselves even more dependent on it staying together.
