CKB Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 To elaborate on my post as said I'm disappointed but we just have to have faith in what the players have done so far and hope no major injuries happen The trouble with deadline day is when things don't go right then it's hard to complete deals and that's obviously what's happened. I'd rather miss out now and go back in the summer and not do a panic buy and it ends up like Beckford We will just have to battle on and see what happens, we have 15 games left that's it, if no major injuries happen then these players should be up for it as the modern day professionals they are
The Doctor Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 anyway lads - we can still sign free agents.. Vassel is still knocking about He retired a week ago, and you need to register the 25 man squad tomorrow.
RoboFox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Boys, I'm bombing it up the M1 as we speak, I'm just north of Northampton. I've got one Loic Remy in the back of my VW Golf. He ain't exactly with it, but not to worry... As long as he can sign his name, right?
SecretPro Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Just recall Kramaric tbh Unless we recall him by 11pm tonight he will not be able to play.
vulpes0763 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Yeh its amazing how many transfer experts we have in this forum. We only have to click our fingers, and we can suddenly, buy, interest and close out any deal. Whats worse is the silly throw away statements, as though theyve made a point., like throwing our best chances away for this or that position. Kramaric issue I didnt understand...Whatever all the descisions that the club have made so far this season cannot in anyway be considered poor, and more importantly this season not from panic but a position of strength.. I am with you guys! Cannot believe some the utter crap posts I have read on here tonight!
Bagworthblue Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 But it wasn't even a real gamble when the prem money is so huge next season!!! sorry but £22m is always a gamble on an organic entity that could get knocked over by a bus tomorrow. And even with the money coming into the club, none of us have any idea of our wage budgets, FFP adherence etc etc etc. And whatever our maximum spend is, £22m is a large part of it and if it turns out to be a bad spend, then it's £22m less to spend in future and £22m converted to nothing but a declining value of equity of no use on the pitch. Our club valued him at £X, were prepared to go to £X + y% - This was rejected so the only right decision is to walk away. sorry but business is business, risk is risk. Every deal comes to a point where risk vs reward balances off towards risk and a deal no longer becomes viable 1 billion pounds spent in the average transfer window. 5 million quid is what - the price of a bag of chips in comparison then.... not a stately homes worth to folk who are contributing to this thread.... I'm glad you are not my accountant
HighPeakFox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Look at this way, it sends a message of great belief to the remaining players
Livid Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 http://www.totalsportek.com/money/uefa-champions-league-prize-money/ €12 million minimum for CL group qualification. IMO We should have gone for it.
TommyK Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 How many league appearances has Kramaric had this season? Why is everyone so upset about him leaving?
Bagworthblue Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 He retired a week ago, and you need to register the 25 man squad tomorrow. if nothing else I would have thought the dancing banana was enough to signal that my post was one of sarcasm
Finn Claw II Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 To put our 'disaster' into perspective. Arsenal signed Elneny, Liverpool Caulker. Spurs, Man City, Man Utd effectively signed no one. The squads of the teams around us haven't got better. We are running a big injury \ form risk with Vardy but that is about it. We decided not to pay over the odds, I think that is all you can really accuse the board of. You have to have some red line with all transfer dealings. On to tomorrow.

st albans fox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Look at this way, it sends a message of great belief to the remaining players How so? The strikers are all aware that we were trying to get another one in. The fact that we didn't won't make them feel any different.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Swansea just signed that Fer Poor replacement for Shelvey
The Doctor Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 How many league appearances has Kramaric had this season? Why is everyone so upset about him leaving? people aren't upset at him leaving, they're upset at not replacing him because we can't just rely on not getting any injuries in the run in - and the management clearly agree given we've been quite vocal about wanting a striker...
Bagworthblue Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 The organic entity would have been insured, but onwards and upwards! i know but I just wanted to refer to the player as an organic entity for some reason

The difference being, some are underachieving and us overachieving
