weller54 Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 Norwich and WBA at Home! Is it fair to say if we drop points in either of these we DON'T deserve to win the PL? ...the argument that they maybe difficult to break down surely isn't an excuse, both of these are very poor!
StanSP Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 Norwich and WBA at Home! Is it fair to say if we drop points in either of these we DON'T deserve to win the PL? ...the argument that they maybe difficult to break down surely isn't an excuse, both of these are very poor! fvck no.
Gerard Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 You can still drop points at home to the like of Norwich & West Brom and still DESERVE to win the title. We dropped points at home to Bournemouth, does that make us unworthy winners if we won it? However, 6pts is the only acceptable return from these two fixtures but if we don't get 6pts we're still in it.
Harry - LCFC Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 If we don't finish with the most points then we wouldn't deserve to win the league, but there's no reason to place extra importance on these two games in particular. Ought to win both and I expect we will. We've been very good at pushing aside teams in the bottom half this season.
Tuna Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 Bollocks, we lost to Charlton and Doncaster when we won the Championship! And Brighton twice. Sorry Weller, I appreciate we need to win these games but its not the end of the world if we don't.
ARM1968 Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 The only team who deserve to win the PL title are the ones who finish with the most points. It's irrelevant where and when you pick those points up.
Wolfox Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 Didn't we draw against a woeful Villa? I'll take points from anyone me I'm not that fussy.l. Fortunately our team aren't either!!!
weller54 Posted 20 February 2016 Author Posted 20 February 2016 Arsenal : Man Utd A Swansea H Spurs : Swansea H West Ham A Can see both our main competitors picking up 4/6 points each from their next two... That's why I believe we need max points from our 2 fixtures.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 Is it fair to say that these threads are getting a bit daft now? I know its exciting whats happening and theres a break but really must we and so many of the same ilk? Not personal to do with this particular thread btw OP,it's just that thers so many of these twitchy arsed threads now we're looking a bit lame and desperate I feel. One game at a time eh? COYB
ScouseFox Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 both spurs and arsenal have dropped points vs norwich and west brom this season. albeit in away games, but arsenal only managed one point from the pair.
KingKante Posted 21 February 2016 Posted 21 February 2016 Slightly nervous going into these games after some time off! Not sure why as I've been confident all season!! Guess it must be getting closer to 'crunch time' and it's a subconscious feeling, let's hope the players don't feel it!
Donut Posted 22 February 2016 Posted 22 February 2016 Norwich and WBA at Home! Is it fair to say if we drop points in either of these we DON'T deserve to win the PL? ...the argument that they maybe difficult to break down surely isn't an excuse, both of these are very poor! No its not fair to say that. Arsenal lost to West Brom away, and drew against Norwich. Spurs lost at home to Newcastle. Man City couldnt beat Villa. They went to Stoke and struggled badly. Results dont follow the expected all the time. If they did we would all be rich from predicting results. Add the points up at the end. The team with the most wins, regardless who they came against.
Midlands yellow Posted 22 February 2016 Posted 22 February 2016 Come on you yellows , please, please please do the business
Foxxed Posted 22 February 2016 Posted 22 February 2016 We just win all our next matches. No need to overthink things! These relegation battlers though. They'd be more than happy to savour a crumb of a point from a top table team--starved for points as they are.
Danizen Posted 22 February 2016 Posted 22 February 2016 Come on you yellows , please, please please do the businessSee I don't usually mind when fans of other teams come on to slag us off but you're dull as fvck. Ever said anything interesting in your entire life, pal?
MakingEmileOfIt Posted 22 February 2016 Posted 22 February 2016 Norwich will be 3 points, West Brom I worry about. 6 points going into Watford away would be massive, considering Tottenham V Arsenal is on the same day...
foxfanazer Posted 22 February 2016 Posted 22 February 2016 Come on you yellows , please, please please do the businessGood luck in the championship buddy!
NoFuchsGiven Posted 22 February 2016 Posted 22 February 2016 Norwich will be 3 points, West Brom I worry about. 6 points going into Watford away would be massive, considering Tottenham V Arsenal is on the same day... Agree with this, however we should beat west brom they're dire, no doubt they'll try to park the bus with pulis though however i'm confident we will break them down
weller54 Posted 22 February 2016 Author Posted 22 February 2016 Good luck in the championship buddy! Leesssssss be avvvinnnnn yaaaaaaa! Silly old pissed up owners!! Embarrassing!.. Get them back to the lower leagues where they belong!
Babylon Posted 22 February 2016 Posted 22 February 2016 Norwich and WBA at Home! Is it fair to say if we drop points in either of these we DON'T deserve to win the PL? ...the argument that they maybe difficult to break down surely isn't an excuse, both of these are very poor! Arsenal drew against Norwich and lost against West Brom... someone tell them they don't deserve to win the league.
Rincewind Posted 22 February 2016 Posted 22 February 2016 They are all tough games for the contenders but it seems we have a better run in so should make the most of it. Remaining Feb Fixtures City V Norwich City V W Brom Man Utd V Arsenal Spurs v Palace Man Utd could beat Arsenal and maybe Palace can grab a point off Spurs.I think that would make us 7pts clear? I think we will need these points going into the last 3/4 games Man Utd Everton and Chelsea. Hopefully we'll pick up points when the other 3 play each other. Arsenal have Villa at home last game so I would not fancy Arsenal needing 4 or 5 goals to overtake on GD.
foxaholic Posted 22 February 2016 Posted 22 February 2016 fvck no. You could say any team what draw and only win by the odd goal against Villa dont deserve to win it
Sionnach gorm Posted 22 February 2016 Posted 22 February 2016 I can't imagine with the way the team is playing that we could drop points. Anything is possible, but we would have to have a series of really bad days. I think that is less likely than not.
AyewJoking Posted 22 February 2016 Posted 22 February 2016 lose them both and the pressure for the title will be off but the pressure to finish top 4 will be cranked up a notch. may as well just win them both.
Swiper Posted 22 February 2016 Posted 22 February 2016 Arsenal : Man Utd A Swansea H Spurs : Swansea H West Ham A Can see both our main competitors picking up 4/6 points each from their next two... That's why I believe we need max points from our 2 fixtures. I'm about to be a huge Swans fan for the next few weeks.
