promised land Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 We are in the mix for the title, of course they were going to show us a lot. Deal with it Exactly, all this crying like a four year old is pathetic, we are in the mix for the Premier league title, we are bound to be on a lot, as I said ages ago last season all Chelsea, man city games were moved on the run in. It's not a surprise in the least and the bonus is no Monday night football. Also if we make top four, get used to Sunday's as next season there could be a lot more to come.
baylisslcfc Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 I can't wait to see the look on the face of my boss when I ask him for 5 Sundays off in a row.
whetstonefox Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 I can cope with the fixtures being changed , just the short notice ones that annoy. I have sky so I'm not going to slate them to much as it would be hypocritical. Taking my LCFC hat off, if I was an armchair fan, I'd fully expect to see the title challengers on the box, who'd have thought we'd ever suffer from what Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City have to go through! Just wonder how come BT can't be arsed with us? The only reason I hate our games being on the telly is if we don't play well and then having to explain it to others!

As countless people have said, it's not the moving per se, it's when it's been moved to. At the end of the day, there's a reason Saturday 3pm has been deemed the most convenient kick-off time for decades. If games are going to be moved, they should be moved with travelling fans in mind. Sunday 1.30pm is absolute shithouse for everyone.
Larry_LCFC Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Wonder how many people saying deal with it are firm armchair supporters? A fair few I would suggest.
Monsell1976 Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 I'm of the thinking that we all like the signings and financial security, which come with being in the premier league, which most of the money comes from sky, so if they want to show our games, it's a compliment. If we want to be competing for Europe, like the owners want, then we can expect more, and it's great publicity for the club, as we are doing well, the world is interested in us, so yes inconvenient for us fans, but in a way, good for the club
whetstonefox Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Having seen the BT games, I'd suggest SKY must have first 2 or 3 picks, some drossy games!
AyewJoking Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Not true, when channel 4 had the test match rights the matches started earlier so that Hollyoaks could retain its 6.30pm slot. you dont fúck with hollyoaks
AyewJoking Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Wonder how many people saying deal with it are firm armchair supporters? A fair few I would suggest. i prefer a soft armchair
Hubert Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 This wont be a popular comment but I'd rather watch us compete for the title every sunday then watch us fight relegation every saturday This!
StanSP Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 BT have decided to televise Norwich vs Sunderland . Can't imagine that'll be much fun to watch. And Swansea vs Liverpool - the only reason I can think of is the Brendan Rodgers connection despite him not even being there
Wymsey Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 There will probably be comments about 'armchair fans'/'I go to matches, you don't, so I'm a better fan than you' - with this now.
adam Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 The early Sunday game is the worst thing about football. Always have arsed atmosphere. Not one half five game is harsh .It's like they have been forced to put us on so give is the worst slot .
Larry_LCFC Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 There will probably be comments about 'armchair fans'/'I go to matches, you don't, so I'm a better fan than you' - with this now. I don't think I'm better than a fan that doesn't go to matches. I just think a "fan" that doesn't go to matches and then has the nerve to say "deal with it" when a whole month's matches get moved is a bit of a cvnt.
nnfox Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Last season i don't think Chelsea had any Saturday 3pm games from around this stage of the season. It comes with the territory I guess. We can't gratefully accept the Sky money with one hand and stick two fingers up with the other. A bit of variation with kick off times would have been nice but I'm still going to go to as many as i can. This is the best time ever to be alive as a Leicester fan and Sky moving a few games to a Sunday doesn't change that!
Fox Ulike Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 As countless people have said, it's not the moving per se, it's when it's been moved to. Sunday 1.30pm is absolute shithouse for everyone. Yeah but that reason no longer exists. There isn't any logic which states that Saturday at 3pm is 'better' than Sunday at 1.30pm. Anyway, games have been kicking off for decades on Sundays too. First Sunday game was in 1974. That's 42 years forward notice and it still takes you by surprise!
whoareyaaa Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 this is a ****ing piss take who ever it is down to. Who the **** wants to play at half 1 on a Sunday no one, everyone is hungover from the night before players are used to playing either at 3pm on a saturday or at 7.45 midweek. Sunday is bollox in every single way for the players and the fans.

whoareyaaa Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Yeah because everyone gets smashed on a Saturday night. I have never known an atmosphere to be good on a Sunday this must be one of the reasons.
potter3 Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Yeah but that reason no longer exists. There isn't any logic which states that Saturday at 3pm is 'better' than Sunday at 1.30pm. Public transport is terrible on a Sunday.

Sunday is bollox in every single way for the players and the fans. It's not a p1sstake though, is it?The league of which our club is a member sold itself to TV companies decades ago. Due to the popularity of the league, that value continues to rise. Sky want to show the best games and they have paid handsomely to do so, paying tens of millions of pounds to each club. Also, not everyone is hungover on a Sunday morning. Believe it or not, some people don't go out and get smashed out of their heads every Saturday night. I doubt it makes much difference to the players. They are professionals and will be well prepared whatever the time of kick off.
Zapp Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 No team has played more Saturday 3pm kick offs than Leicester this season Just a stat Edit - Premier league team
Fox Ulike Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Public transport is terrible on a Sunday. Lots of traffic on the roads Saturday at 5pm though... Eh? Swings and roundabouts innit.

Well, actually the logic is in the convenience to matchgoing supporters. Like I say, Saturday 3pm is the best for train and bus times/organising it around other family commitments, stuff like that. Plus, logic aside, and as others have said, 1.30pm Sunday is a bins kick-off time. No one ever seems up for it.
