I've just read through all the posts on this thread and while I do feel sorry for STH for the incovenience all of the changes that have been made for April and indeed earlier in the season, can't everyone see that it is an inevitable by-product of being a successful team.

Claims that the atmosphere won''t be as good on a Sunday don't really stand-up because the stadium has been virtually sold out all season and the crowd has been very vocal and supportive, and if this season turns out to be more than an enjoyable one season miracle, Sunday games will be even more prevalent in the future because of European matches.

And what is the criticism of 'armchair' fans. We all support the same team and all have different circumstances, be it location/family/financial/job which might prevent us being season ticket holders but that doesn't make the fans who don't get to matches in the flesh less of a fan.

I have been a fan for 40 years, because of financial and family reasons I am not a season ticket holder but I listen to every match on the Radio and for recently have been able to watch matches on Sky. I have managed to get a ticket to one match this season and no others.

When I discovered the five matches in April/May had been moved to be shown on Sky I'll be honest, my first thought was great I'll be able to see them on TV, my second thought was 'Christ I'd be hacked off if I was a season ticket holder' but hang on a second...

...if you are lucky enough to be in a position to be a season ticket holder during the most exciting season in the club's history, count yourself lucky, enjoy the many highlights and spend your energy backing the team, not engaging in petty arguments about who the best fans are and all the other banal arguments that seem to kick off on this forum every other thread!

No doubt I'll get some abuse, but I'm only speaking common sense!

Same old bollocks with this lot I'm afraid. Even when you begrudgingly accept the shit they churn out they still manage to up the ante and piss you off that bit more. What an absolutely criminal lack of variety. I ****ing hate early Sunday. Stick your money.

So basically the armchair fans are happy and season ticket holders are pissed off. Armchair fans love sky at the end of the day.

What's an armchair fan? Somebody not fortunate enough in their present circumstances to be able to afford a season ticket or their time so they are now a lesser fan/human being. Also, definitely don't love Sky and don't have sky. In fact anybody actually paying to watch premier league football is nuts.

Slight contradiction here?

I can't believe some of the attitudes in this thread again. It happened when the Arsenal game was announced too.

Howcome? It's the same shit every time from certain posters. Sky created football in their eyes.

Don't make assumptions. I live in Western Canada & am a lifelong City fan. When they make Leicester an early game I have to get up at either 4.45 am or 5.45 am to watch it.

So you're pissed out of your head before 8am - result!

Not really, they're two different points.

I'm sorry if my comment offended on here but I think it's clear to see why views are mixed.

It's purely based on whether you can make the game or not. People who now have to go out their way to reschedule their plans or those who can't make the game at all, will naturally get angry and object the change. However people who can still make the game naturally won't be all that bothered about it, just because they don't have to re-arrange stuff.

I can fully understand both points of view - and perhaps my post was a bit hasty. However unfortunately this is something we're going to have to get used to if we're going to be challenging against the best.

I can only make Sunday games, and while I'll be happy to get to some games, the people who have been supporting the team all season deserve it more.

We still have more armchair fans than non armchair fans. And even more this season. I'm a STH but there's only 23,000 of us. That may be a lot, but compared to the millions who want a piece of us on TV at the moment, we're insignificant. All of our combined season ticket money is a drop in the ocean compared to how much the club will get paid by Sky.

Firstly all season tickets are sold out so nobody can buy anymore of those, we are sold out every game so all tickets have gone! And have you not heard that all other fans want us to win the league do they will want to watch us play lol

I'm just glad they're on TV 'cause I remember 3 decades I didn't get to see them at all. However the Sunday time slot does cramp my style some as now I'll have to set an alarm to be up and awake by 5:30am as opposed to an easier 7:00am Saturday wakeup. I would love to be in your disgruntled shoes to be able to watch my Foxes live in person.

That's what I meant! I can't believe how many seem to defend Sky.

I'm confused.

You don't go to games but need to get up at 7 to watch them so presumably must live in the States or South America (?), where the moving of Premier League games has no impact on whether they are shown or not.

Can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading here - the West Ham game actually works better for me on a Sunday but I still don't want to see any games moved because people have to work from the starting position of assuming it will be a Saturday 3pm. Obviously that won't be the case every time but it's not an unreasonable starting point that if you buy a season ticket you should get to see at least 11 or 12 3pm Saturday kick offs over the season.

Between the Watford game at the start of November and the end of the season we'll have had 12 home league games and only 3 (Bournemouth, Stoke, Norwich) at 3pm on a Saturday.

I think there's a difference between defending Sky and now being able to make a game on Sunday/not being affected by the kick-off change.

I hate Sunday games and I hate early kick off's so this has really pissed me off and I don't even have to miss out on going to any games so I can't imagine how pissed off some other people are.

This is unacceptable and even worse than the moving the Arsenal game at 23 days notice. This just feels like we're being fvcked over.

Most of us are not asking for a lot, we know we've done a deal with the devil, we know that in our current situation all of our games are going to be moved but they could show us a little consideration instead of moving every single game in April to a Sunday (and probably our May games, too).

Fvck Sky.

didn't we go half a championship season (watford play offs) without a home 3pm game? boro friday night, wolves thursday night, millwall friday night, watford friday night then thursday night in the play offs etc etc

Yeah. We were on TV about 14 (?) times that season.

We've had it pretty good since then.

we played our weekend game on a thursday night ffs lol

think that was when we were gonna get money back on our STs if that many games got moved again or something wasn't it? guessing that's not still the case haha.

The only thing that'd grind my gears if I had to choose from Sunday kick-offs being a Leicester City fan would be the rather poor public transportation system on that particular day. Unless you have a car or someone that can get you to the ground or you're lucky to live nearby, you're forced to head into town much earlier and also have fewer choices trying to get home after the final whistle has gone.
