fuchsntf Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Ah shit I'm gonna have to miss church now. Not true, all County churches have Sky in the vestry...
Jaspa Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Do you moan about Boxing Day matches as traditionally the game was played on Christmas Day up until late 50's, early 60's? I bet you sit there with a face like a smacked arse all game don't you eh? One or two on here need to grow up a bit. There wasn't this much uproar when we were playing Thursday, Friday nights in the championship. There was alot of that actually. I remember alot of people getting annoyed about that, there were threads up with people specifically pointing out how many games had been hijacked that season and the one before. Its not surprising either because the effect group still remains with the capacity of the stadium, nothing has changed there, what has though is the interest from outside the stadium, around the world; were obviously in huge demand and Sky have taken their opportunity to capitalise on business. If theyre in their rights contractually its like MattP said we should be looking elsewhere to blame. 5 in a row is taking the piss though. Mayday I'm looking forward to, a couple of the April ones are especially annoying to me

There was actually so much uproar that the Club wrote a clause into the season ticket package that fans would be compensated (to some extent) if more than X games were moved.
Great Boos Up Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Sigh.......I suppose we should take it a compliment. Sky have realised the wheels aren't coming off and we now we have recognition we wanted. There is a least some fair notice given here unlike Arsenal. Money talks! Next year will be the same too, more Sunday's and Monday's and like many others I don't have a season ticket (I had one until we got promoted - unfortunate circumstances). We are all here to support our team and I hope when the anger dies down we can all talk to each other and help each other with our fair exchange of tickets at face value and appreciate the price we have to pay to support our great football team. What some of you may lose today in Saturday fixtures, you will also be rewarded next year in Champions League fixtures. Football; I get so much pleasure from this game.
Foxxed Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 I'm assuming Sky/BT are doing this because by rearranging they make more money by moving the important title race games to Sunday. The Premier League is internationally famous for attracting the best talent -- through money mainly, which comes from Sky. However, it ****s fans who have prearranged their days. Either you want an internationally famous league with, arguably necessarily, boat loads of money, or you want something more attuned to the fans desires, forsaking an increase in money. Since I don't live in Leicester anymore, I'm fairly neutral, but the PL would be ****ed without fans and the atmosphere. Money for the PL or the game atmosphere/fans concerns, essentially.
MC Prussian Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 I agree, the volume of fixtures isn't kind. But this is Sky we're talking about! I'm certainly happy that none of them have gone to Monday!! Well, they haven't moved to a Monday... yet!! May I refer you to: All fixture dates and times are subject to change. But if people are complaining about kick-off times, I suggest they look at what football fans in Italy or Spain have to put up with on a weekly basis.

Mayday I'm looking forward to, a couple of the April ones are especially annoying to me I can't say I remember the uproar but I do remember the ST having that clause in someone mentioned. But the thing is, you or anyone else who is upset by it can't do a thing, it's the downside to success, the protest at the Emirates didn't happen, some say 100 was a good number but in a section of 3000 do me a favour. As for looking for someone to blame, you really are living in cloud cookoo land, the top 6 teams have had Sunday games for two decades and their fans accept its part of being at the top, all this shite about its an awful kick off time. It shouldn't matter when they play, some La Liga games kick off at 9pm or later, is the Camp Nou forum in meltdown? No. Get behind the team and create the atmosphere instead of sulking like a 4 year old because it's not a 3pm Saturday game. Go on then, now reply with the 'but we've got four at 1-30pm blah blah blah,'. Support the team. Next season will be even worse if we stay top four so get used to it.

Because the majority are armchair fans... Comparing Leicester to clubs with a larger proportion 'armchair' fans is a joke.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Are we using Barcelona, the single most commercialised club in the world, as an excuse for Sky moving 5 games in a row and making season ticket holders miss games? This place is plumbing new depths.

Go to an away game and ask their fans then, or better still take the time to do a proper survey, either way all this crying is doing nothing but making one or two posters on here look like immature juveniles.Start another protest if you want but good luck with that as it will get you nowhere, anyone with an IQ above a Walnut Whip knew all our games on the run in would be televised, recent seasons (clubs going for the title) tell you that but all of a sudden one or two start moaning about Sky and a load more join in like lemmings.

Its abit of a different climate and culture in Spain/Catalunya. Some resentment is better than nothing and if enough people kick up a fuss the club might have to step in like they did in helping out when the Arsenal game got moved. The reason I mentioned blaming someone is because the title of the thread and most of the posts are looking to hinge blame onto something, in my opinion maybe the wrong thing. Every ****ing molecule in my composition is behind the team, dont imply that somehow me posting half of that is somehow working against the club. I cant believe I even partially rose to that

Jaspa Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 I'm not saying you're not behind the club but really do you think you can achieve anything? Serious answer now. The second line of that post you just quoted lad.

The majority I'm sure would still say it's a ball ache so not sure what you point is here, unless you're only point is to bend over and take whatever? one or two start moaning about Sky and a load more join in like lemmings. Yep, the fans opposing this are the lemmings... ha ha ha.
promised land Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 The second line of that post you just quoted lad. Lad! Haha, do one kid I'm in my mid forties.
Guest foxestalkisfullofidiots Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 I think the coverage on sky is top class and they want to follow the most open title race in years......I'm a season ticket holder who works shifts over a 24/7 period, have I ever been inconvenienced by fixture changes....Yes, would I ever cancel my sky subscription......No.
TeamRocket Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Well i can't see any now might aswell just watch match of the day on Sunday now as i cant to any game as i live up north also work on Sunday Well signs of good things to come
Bluetintedspecs Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 On a positive note our new found legion of nationwide and international adoring fans will be pleased
Drew Peacock Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 The ironic thing is that despite the many negative points about Sky on this thread, with away tickets so hard to get after just about making P3 now each game and home games also in high demand, Sky Sports subscriptions will rocket around Leicestershire for the next 3 months. That is why Sky will never lose.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 We're having our best season for 50 years and people find things to complain about. Surely you know these days as a football fan that games get moved for telly. It's not ideal but it's the way of the world. You can't really blame Sky for wanting to televise the best club in the country...
stripeyfox Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 L O L. shit argument. you know why most of their 'fans' accept it? Because the majority are armchair fans... Comparing Leicester to clubs with a larger proportion 'armchair' fans is a joke. We still have more armchair fans than non armchair fans. And even more this season. I'm a STH but there's only 23,000 of us. That may be a lot, but compared to the millions who want a piece of us on TV at the moment, we're insignificant. All of our combined season ticket money is a drop in the ocean compared to how much the club will get paid by Sky.

You can't really blame Sky for wanting to televise the best club in the country... As I said though why make them all Sunday games which is more likely to affect the same people when they could have used their Saturday and Monday slots for some. It just shows a complete lack of consideration to the affect on those attending the games especially when they've paid in advance with no chance of recompense financially or otherwise.
Neil_LCFC Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 We knew games would be moved being top but to stick all 5 april games on a sunday is most peoples main gripe. Those idiots saying just bend over and take it are the reason football is in the mess its in today. The premier league needs to sort itself out and next time it does a deal it needs to say each team can only be on so many times and cant have more than say 2 games in a row moved instead of just grabbing the cash ****ing the fans over and taking it like a bitch, None of this is a benefit to the real fans who go.None of the money sky pumps in makes any difference to you or me apart from ****ing with the fixtures all the money goes to the players and agents, fans arent even an after thought anymore.. Soon sky will say play it at midnight on the moon and some morons will say well thats fine because sky are putting the money in they can do what they like.
foxinsox Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 It will be 1500 Saturday kickoff when we next get relegated! Being top 4 means Sunday matches, it goes with the territory. When playing in Europe next year we will have loads of Sunday games.
Bayfox Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Cunty bollocks. $ky have just cost me another 45 quid. My wife has decided she wants to go spend part of the easter hols with relatives in Torquay. To keep the peace I now have to fork out for a train to Devon after the saints game. She's gonna regret it when she picks me up from newton Abbot at 9pm and I've been on it since lunch and 4 hours on a train on my tod after the match Cheer $ky
