unfortunately its part of the modern game and nothing can be done. It doesn't matter how many protests there are teams want to be on sky the fans might not want it but the clubs will its global exposure and they are being paid for it.

Surely if every club came together they could overpower Sky.

The odd game doesn't irritate me, it's just the fact they move every game. I mean, every game in April. Wtf!? Games such as Swansea at home and Sunderland away. Why. It ruins it for both sets of fans.

Moving 2 or 3 games tops in April/May I can accept. Moving every single ****ing game to a Sunday is taking the piss. Sky are utter cretins.

yep it is frustrating but they want the top teams on the telly for their ratings, its the one of the only disadvantages of being top of the league! so we best prepare as if we make Europe our Saturday games will be few and far between.

This is a small price to pay for competing for the top honour in the country,

Of course we'll be on TV a lot,

Liverpool, United, Chelsea etc have about 4 3pm Saturday kick offs all season every season! It's shite but unfortunately it's the way of the world now

and give away the TV money in the process? plus the global marketing and exposure to sponsors? Football is a business we basically support a business now, its just how its gone and its got too far out of hand! it will implode at some point but not yet, especially now BT have more and more power it just drives the prices up.

Won't be a popular post but I still don't lay the blame on Sky, they are only exercising the power they were given.

The Premier League is to blame, the ECB would never allow Sky to dictate Ashes dates, Wimbledon would never allow the BBC to tell them what day the matches are played on. No other sport sold itself to a TV channel like this one.

They gave away everything for $$$ - they take all the blame for me

I don't know how the money side of it all works, but surely clubs make enough without TV money anyway?

I think it will implode at some point though, said it before myself.

Exactly this it got out of hand when Sky first brought the rights to the league, and the money has just go up and up. The Premier League bosses are the ones lining their pockets that's the real issue not Sky.

given the situation and what might happen no-one should be using 'it's a Sunday' as an excuse for a shite atmosphere from now on. Crowd should be up for it regardless, particularly at home.

The vast majority of PL clubs income is from TV money. The clubs take the money and having sold their soul to Sky, Sky get to pick whichever matches they want.

I'd prefer Saturday games but it's not a massive problem for me personally, although I accept it could be for some.

Don't mean to pedantic but Wimbledon and the ashes are on all day, the timings are a lot less relevant.

Your are right though.

Haven't seen the changes for our rivals but this is potentially bad in the way that we might be playing after Arsenal/Tottenham/Man City whereas over the next few weeks (certainly the next two matchdays) we're playing before the three of them. Would much prefer to set a marker rather than feel the pressure of having to win because the others have.

TV money is why clubs are so rich now. That's where most of it comes from.

On the other hand if they lost before we play it may give us a boost.

I just worry about the atmosphere on Sundays. Then again, Man Utd last season was on a Sunday and look how that turned out.

Sure but given that we're at the top it means we win more than we lose
