Disappointed but plenty of time to put it right.

Different game now for us, we need better options off the bench really, still right in it.

Good performance, shame about the result. On another day we may have won that 5-2.

Mahrez's bicycle kick was a poor decision but Morgan's chance was the biggest one in my opinion, that falls to anyone else and it's a goal. Vardy and Shinji both should have done better on a couple of occasions but plenty of positives to take away from tonight.

Roll on Watford!

Those highlights make it feel more like a loss. The chances we had for a winner were crazy. Trust Foster to have his night of the season against us.

Shame about the result but... 14 heroes on the pitch tonight. I don't think many teams have torn apart West Brom like we did. Just a shame about the result.

Thought we played well. Still not too sure what Okazaki offers. Absolutely no end product and thought he was playing far too deep. Especially at home against a very poor side. Ah well. Could do with a win on Saturday now to keep the dream alive.

If you believe that generally then that's something else, but you can't make that point based on tonight (or Saturday for that matter).

We had loads of chances, and Jeff had some really good link up play on the left getting to the byline several times. We just couldn't get the goal.

Impressed with the effort tonight, but i was disappointed by the result. I thought we deserved to win tonight but only got a draw.

I think well be fine in the long run. King filled in admirably for Kante. If we win at Watford, well be in a good position to stay in first. Tottenham won't win every match to finish the season, and if they do, they deserve the title.

Why are West Brom fans calling us tinpot? Surely celebrating a draw against a 'tinpot club' is even more tinpot. It's not a dig at them by any means, just a bit confused. No shame in drawing against West Brom, they've picked up points away at Everton, Liverpool, Chelsea and West Ham this season. It's just disappointing because of our current situation.

Mixed emotions after this one. We perhaps should have won but when you have enough chances and don't take them then you get a loss or a draw. Putting it into perspective though, we were lucky late vs. Norwich in a game that overall we struggled in so it is swings and roundabouts so to speak. Draw is better than a loss but it is how we back up Sat. away which is now a critical game depending on the Spurs game tomorrow if we are to win the league.

Also reading the comments about Shinji, I tend to agree with most of the criticicms about him. I luv his work rate and enthusiasm but he continues to fall over easily and for a striker he does miss some real chances and with Ulloa our only other strike option, it may come back to haunt us if Vardy gets injured or the opposition deny him the space he was previously getting this season that we have no other strike option.

Time will tell?

Nah Shinji will come good. His work rate is essential up top.

There was a chance early on where he robbed the ball from Fletcher, but then made the wrong decision of shooting rather than playing Vardy through... but everyone made mistakes today - Huth, Simpson, Mahrez - But all played very well too.... it just was one of those games.

I can see Spurs dropping points.... it's going to happen they have won something like 6-7 on the trott.... that run has to end.... just the law of averages.... they have tough games ahead too. So I'm generally very pleased with the performance and satisfied with the result.

If we give as much as we did tonight in terms of effort against Watford, with a bit more luck I'm confident of victory. Only thing I can see Watford's front two causing us problems

Mahrez's assist for King was sublime.

He made the wrong choice with that overhead. I'm sure he knows it more than anybody so there is no need to criticise.

Well that's exactly what he needs, constructive criticism and the sooner CR gives him some the better.

His stats are a telling story IE:

Mahrez performance score from Squwaka.com

games 1-17 up to Boxing day score of 1500

since Boxing day games 18-28  score of 43

this coincides with when the news pundits started lauding his praises (and rightly so) and throwing around how much he was worth and what big clubs were coming after him in the transfer window. This shite has gotten into his head and he's become more a selfish player and glory hunter since.

I'm not saying he's not a good player and that he  won't go on to be a great player because I believe he is and will be. but his head is full of himself right now and it shows on the pitch and in his stats. He could be helping city so much more if he can just get his head right. Like another poster said he needs taking down a peg or two and the way that's done is sitting him on the bench for half or a full game and getting his attention right quick.

or maybe the opposition just started to give him more atention. Especially after mourinho was quite blatant about it after we beat them 2-1.

if you look at the stats i bet you find he gets chopped down more often now, than he did before, the opposition know they can't let him just drift by as he will most likely cause some serious damage. Criticism seems unfair, others around him made some poor decisions today too, but don't see them getting this flak. The whole team played brilliant but made a few errors - like Huth.

Okazaki could have done better with header as could have Huth and Vardy with their chances. Vardy created his own chance but had a wonderful opportunity to square it to players coming in in front of the goal.

Mahrez made a couple of mistakes handball and overhead kick, but did a lot well too. I really don't understand people who want to make out he thinks he's someone bigger than the club or something.... nothing indicates that whatsoever. If he didn't backheel/flick that ball to king the way he did people would criticise him for not shooting or being too greedy.

His touch is sublime and we will miss him as a creative force if he were to miss a few games and also the opposition would rejoice to see him not playing. People need to get a grip

This is it for me pretty much. It's the fine detail of being able to convert numerous chances into match winners, regardless of how much hard work and endeavour the team displays.

The bottom line is that we are now in the position of having to WIN vs Watford away. If not our title hopes are over - for the meantime at least, and you wonder how many more chances we will get as we've had a fair few let-offs with Arsenal and Man City squandering games. It's awful having to rely on other teams to get us out of jail so to speak and that simply can't go on forever.

Put it this way, if Spurs draw/lose tomorrow, draw with Arsenal on Saturday and we beat Watford, I will truly believe that the title is ours for the taking and we will only have ourselves to blame if we then go on and blow things. I'm living in the moment with this season and it's very frustrating knowing that, not only are we in the midst of a "once every 40 year" type occurence, but just how many times we've had the opportunity to create a wedge that we could build on to approach the home straight yet failed.

So should he be dropped and put on the transfer list? Be grateful we have the guy and grateful for the goals and assists he gives. The team wouldn't be where they are without him. Lots of whingers around, considering where we are.

Why should it be an all or nothing is that how your parents taught you? or did they offer constructive criticism and help you to become  better. Nobody on here is saying he should be transferred or dropped that's absolutely ludicrous talk. He needs help with his mental game right now so he can become better and help us win the title. Yes I am grateful we have him and we wouldn't be where we are without him but since Boxing Day he hasn't been near as effective as the run up to then.

Don't understand the talk of some saying if we don't beat Watford the title challenge is over. It's not like we are 9 points behind Spurs.... We're 3 points ahead..... All teams are going to drop poionts and if they don't - Then that team deserves to win the title.

Spurs have to play West Ham away and then play Arsenal.... even if they don't drop points, and we lost to Watford - i don't think we're out of it by a long way. We could still go on a good run - 10 games - 30 possible points - that a massive amount to play for - no one is winning or losing the title in the next few games.

We have a team that never quits and can mix it win anyone in the world at the moment. We should be proud of this team and remember #FEARLESS  #Foxesneverquit

Some of these reactions to criticism of Mahrez remind me of a radio phone-in I once listened to many years ago about the Royal Family. In an exchange between two callers, one said that they were uncomfortable with the idea of a monarch generally and before they could say "because..." the other caller offered in rebuttal the question "Well who do you want then? Hitler?" It's hard to argue with someone who acts like this.

agree with what you are saying teams are playing him tighter and chopping him down more. That's why he needs to adjust and change his game up and play differently, pass the ball more and quicker instead of trying to dribble thru and around 2 and 3 players only to end up trying to shoot thru them and it being blocked. Great players adapt and adjust Mahrez hasn't learned that yet.

relieved to hear we played well.

judging by the result alone i thought we may have bottled it.

the only way this is a good result though is if arsenal and spurs both lose tonight.
