biggs Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Are you serious.? Mid table mediocrity? 28 games and lcfc are deservedly top of the league. But what about the previous 100 years of tripe? I do sincerely hope leicester win the PL but don't forget your station? Well we did get second once. Have to agree.....mid table is nothing to sneeze at and we would have taken that at the beginning of the year
Max Power Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Frustrated, but cool. We created more chances tonight than we have at home all season it just didn't quite come for us and Gardner curled in a lovely free kick. On to the next one (but not after Spurs lose at the mighty IRONS tomorrow of course)
Kendal Fox Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Watford will be at home, though. They'll be under pressure to attack. I think it might suit us better than tonight and Saturday. I hope so, but I also hope we plan for negativity and the way to forge positive change in that scenario. You could be right and I remember Flores said a while back that he wants them to finish as close to a Europa place as possible so you'd think they would'nt want to waste a home game. On the other hand - they might be content to go for a moral victory - I don't know why but I keep seeing a "boxing" parallel with Leicester, particularly since we've been top again. I keep thinking of the times that flashy, KO artists get the odd night when a defensive boxer faces them with the sole intention of surviving the 12 rounds simply to claim the moral victory!? I just feel that winning tonight would have taken the pressure of the Watford game, but hey. Need to beat Newcastle next home game though!
Baggie man Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Well we did get second once. Have to agree.....mid table is nothing to sneeze at and we would have taken that at the beginning of the yearfair play, and good luck from here on in.
KarlosSK4-LCFC4-ever! Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Lads were great tonight! So unlucky, And might I say, Albrighton what a player, Best crosser of the ball since Beckham!! Not sure why he came off though is my only negative?????
Karljohn Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Watching that free kick go in, shades of Burnley last season, Schmeichel gave him plenty to aim at. Good strike but made easier by starting position and his foot work is to move to his left too.

I do sincerely hope leicester win the PL but don't forget your station? So why didn't you guys go for it then? What exactly have you got to lose? We are where we are because we have thrown the kitchen sink at it. What does sitting deep and constantly time wasting achieve? It's what I'd expect from the relegation fodder.

haraven Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Proud of the lads. Gave it all, unlucky to lose 2 points. Team spirit and fighting spirit is unbelievable. Up the Foxes!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 That second half nothing fell our way, we tried everything and created chances after chance, nothing to worry about here continue to play that way and we will pick up a lot of points from the last 10... let's see if Spurs can win tomorrow, West Ham will be tough
Kitchandro Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 I said that the failure to bring in a striker in January could cost us the title, and tonight highlighted that. We had so many chances to score tonight, we should have buried West Brom well before the end. Okazaki is the prime culprit again. He may run around a bit but he's got no quality in front of goal. The header in the middle of the goal was criminal. Absolutely pathetic finishing. Unfortunately Ulloa is probably as bad. There were several annoying things about tonight - the refereeing (disgraceful is an understatement, what a bunch of crooks), Schlupp's retardation, King's anonymity (besides a goal which is the only thing people will remember about an otherwise terrible display), West Brom's time wasting and Schmeichel's performance (again) - but you can't look any further than the chances we missed in the second half. We put one of those away and everything else is irrelevant.
Tuna Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Good result, tricky match I expected a draw. Our performance merited victory however it did not against Norwich, so 4 points is a fair return from these 2 matches. Lets hope the Irons do us a favour tomorrow evening, and Swansea while we're at it.
Matt Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Abit disappointed, another day and our chances would have gone in, atleast we're making chances and proving we can do it against teams that just sit back and defend, just unfortunate those chances weren't going in tonight, but we move on. I said i'd be happy with 4 points out of these two games (WBA and Watford) so i'm looking for a win on Saturday It's another if (and I hating using the word if) but if West Ham win tomorrow we're actually a point better off than before this round of fixtures so there's a pretty big positive on the situation, just gotta hope West Ham can win tomorrow!

I do sincerely hope leicester win the PL but don't forget your station? Don't be a prat. You're a horrible, negative side and almost everyone in the country, including many of your own fans, know it. But that's what happens when you appoint Pulis.
Daz93 Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Can't find the "Is Simpson doing enough?" thread. But I thought he was brilliant tonight, and been brilliant all season. He was immense tonight. Never thought I'd say that. He's still a ****. But he's our ****. Much like Vards.
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Didn't see all the missed chances then.. Where as ulloa was the dictionary definition of clinical.
daddylonglegs Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Don't be a prat. You're a horrible, negative side and almost everyone in the country, including many of your own fans, know it. But that's what happens when you appoint Pulis. I wonder if WBA fans actually enjoy watching that. If that's what 'having a go' is as some people have said online what is them sitting deep?

We put one of those away and everything else is irrelevant. So Vardy escapes criticism then? Two fantastic chances. What about Mahrez and his decision making? We were unlucky tonight, even with the supposed inferior quality of our strikers, one of those chances would have gone in on another average night.
kingfox Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Very unlucky tonight, hit the bar twice and Foster pulled out some fantastic saves. Thought Morgan & Drinkwater were a class above tonight, the rest were hit & miss at times especially Mahrez, one minute you want to bow down to him the next he deserves a slap. We dominated them for the majority of the game; however I thought they had some decent spells and Rondon gave Huth legit problems. Don't usually comment about refs but I thought Clattenburg was terrible tonight. Fingers crossed tomorrow works out ok, roll on Watford.
KarlosSK4-LCFC4-ever! Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Not sure why shmiechael gettin blame to be honest! Give credit where due, that free kick beats any keeper regardless of position, it was so tight into the top bag and at pace' The first goal was Huth fault for letting Rondon get round him and push him off the ball, What happened to keep the faith and foxes never quit attitude as well??? Will say Mahrez trying the spectacular at the end made me scream at the telly though
inckley fox Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Are you serious.? Mid table mediocrity? 28 games and lcfc are deservedly top of the league. But what about the previous 100 years of tripe? I do sincerely hope leicester win the PL but don't forget your station? I wouldn't be offended. There are a lot of Leicester fans hating West Brom tonight, but it's to West Brom's credit. I doubt many Leicester fans harbour a serious hatred of West Brom, and if we were the team in 'mid-table mediocrity' or whatever and you were battling it out for the big prize, many of us would be firmly behind you. Hopefully Watford fans will be feeling a similar pang of hatred at our expense next time round (albeit from having lost, rather than drawn). As for 100 years of tripe, I'd be ecstatic if we finished 3rd (depending on how it came about) but it would be something we've equalled and bettered in the distant past. The reason we'd be especially over the moon if we got to 4th, 3rd or better, is that it's a far less common achievement, over the past 20 years, for a side of our stature to achieve this. And when I say 'our' stature, I'd put Brom in that category too. It was a great game. We probably deserved more than a draw but with Kante's injury I'd have been happy with 4 points from the two games, and that's still on. If we pull it off we could well be top come next week and, if that performance is replicated - or improved on, with a point to make - in the next game, I imagine we'll find ourselves feeling pretty cheerful about life again.
I blame Wellens Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Gutted but proud. Very proud. Yes there were a few mistakes tonight but I am so proud of the team.
ScouseFox Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 we played pretty well. both their goals were from nothing and we should probably have scored 4 or 5. shame we've dropped two points but that's life. dunno what huth did for the first goal? and dunno what happened with the free kick for their second? the whole kop cheered because we thought clattenburg had given us a free kick . great strike tbf. hit the bar twice had a few great saves from their keeper. what you gonna do.
FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Taking Albrighton off was a bit of a mystery I admit as he was sticking in some great crosses, BUT.............. Claudio deserves credit for his attacking mentality, he went for 3 rather than sticking at 1. He's part of the dream that will have us in Europe next year. Can you believe that ? If anyone had suggested this 12 months ago ???????????? Love this team,
