Silly to suggest that Ulloa should start ahead of Okazaki due to what he offres to our successful style of play. Ulloa is a plan B, simple as that.

No it's absolutely stupid to suggest our style of play is the same in 40% possession games and 64.7% possession games.

Shinj is really good at the bits which don't involve having the ball. That was a proper shit header today like I'm talking 3/10 my grandma would have hit the target.

He very rarely looks like offering a goal though.

Neither does Ulloa when he starts. What Shinji offers from minute one outweighs what Ulloa could offer from minute one. Sure, when we are pushing and pumping balls into the box for the last 15 minutes Ulloa is your man but to suggest he gets a start is just wrong. When he has started this season he has been utter dog.

Also, we became the first team to score 50 goals this season therefor I'm working on the basis that it's not goals that are important from Ulloa/Shinji, what is important is what they offer the rest of the team in the rest of the game.

Good performance. Disappointing result but not a disaster. End of. Next game please.

Dominated that. Did Kasper have a save to make? One poor piece of communication and a class free kick and we somehow come away with a point despite dominating. Saturday is vital now if we have genuine aspirations of the...you know what.

Worrying for me is the amount of points we have chucked away now despite how many chances we have made.

Yes it might even it self out but we're not taking chances to pull away.

Villa away, Bournemouth home, Wba today. Can't afford many more.

Watford could be massive now

Shinji obviously tries his hardest, but personally strikes me as a bit of a headless chicken.

His decision making is awful at times and his first touch often teflonesque. Not a total Ulloa fan, but we look more menacing up front when he plays. I just think premier league defenders relish playing against Shinji because he doesn't offer much in the way of a constant threat. I know he harries etc, but is the really why we bought him?

Just got on and read some of the comments on Mahrez and Kasper. Thought both Huth and Kasper could have done better, but the response from the crowd was immense. Totally got behind the team and it spurred them on to an amazing first half. I also thought Kasper was way too far to the left, but having seen the highlights in Sky, don't think he would have gotten anywhere near eitherway. Crowd was definitely was a lot quieter for a spell in that second half, but a sh*t load better than against Norwich. Once Mahrez.Riyad.Official.26 came back to the eight side, he was immense. Time after time he skinned their defense. I'll forgive him that one spectacular effort as he created so much all game. It was his header back across goal at the death that you thought king or Ulloa just had to knock in. How both missed I'll never know. Like many have said, if we play like this for the rest of the season, win lose or draw, I couldn't be more proud. Will win 9/10 games playing like that. COYB!!!

Watford is no more or less important now than it was before the West Brom game.

And Riyad's flick to King wasn't exactly textbook. The safe thing to do would have been to control the ball and then play a safe pass to King. I don't see anyone complaining about that.

Didn't realise just how ridiculous Mahrez's scissor kick was. He was in space to bring that down to feet and get it whipped across the box. Some of the stuff he does it sublime but I can help but think he needs bringing back down a peg or two.

Watching that free kick go in, shades of Burnley last season, Schmeichel gave him plenty to aim at. Good strike but made easier by starting position and his foot work is to move to his left too.

Just got back and reading through the thread. Pleased that I'm not the only one who thought this. Made Gardner's decision far too easy, exactly like the Wallace free kick. His positioning in my opinion was very poor. Gardner just had to get the placement right, also didn't help us that he's right footed so the ball naturally curls away from the keeper. I'd have had no issues if he'd stuck a man on the post but he gave himself too much to do.

Also the wall was poorly formed. Was surprised we allowed two of their bigger players to take up positions in the wall quite centrally.

Very frustrating night as we played really well.

looks like west brom are the new arsenal on here lol. Find it hard to slate them myself if you play negative, not that I thought they did esp compared to Norwich who many "felt sorry for" mainly because we ended up beating them, and still manage to score two goals then can't say fairer than that. Embarrassing really we fell the need to take dropping points out on the opposition, one sad thing about this season as I've said before is some of our support have really developed top four arrogance.

I thought we were brilliant, could easily of won but that's football, play like that I doubt every other side will be able to combine good defending luck and a sublime free kick to take points off us, on to the next one.

Best post from this thread. Hit the nail...well said.

Not many fans have picked up on Schlupps chance , that was a goal all day if it didnt get that deflection.

What this performance proved, City are not on the wane, they are playing some great football.

Plus this critic over Mahrezs attempt with overhead kick, jesus thats what we want to see from our tekki players. pure instinct, which by the way, got us our brilliant 2nd goal.

We know these type of players gives us the entertainment we crave.

Hes only just starting to find his true skills, hes no Messi, but hes our Mahrez, who has less experience.

I still go with , the others have the obligation to win, Leicester are giving us that dream, and most likely now a CL place. Too many over arrogant city fans acting like the debs we dislike from other top clubs..

Just one of those nights.

Fancy the Ammers to get a result tomorrow and things to look v favourable again by 7.00 pm on Saturday.

Certainly not worth kneejerking over!

Yep. Cut out the flicks Riyad. Lay the ball off instead of trying to beat a man. Play percentage football. Never try the spectacular. Take away everything from your game that makes you the player you are.

lol Yeah that's what I said wasn't it. Nobody wants him to stop his trickery. What he needs to do is realise there is a time and place for it and a wild scissor kick in the last 30 seconds when you need a winner and there are better options is not that place.
