Benguin Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Simpson, King, Morgan and Drinky all 8's Majority of others 6's and 7's Thought we were excellent which means I have to give credit to WBA even though I for feel I should. Feel robbed and like it should have been 4 or 5 - 2. Onwards and upwards
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Kasper - 6 Simpson - 6 Morgan - 8 Huth - 5 Fuchs - 7 Albrighton - 7 King - 7 Drinkwater - 9 Mahrez - 7 Vardy - 8 Okazaki - 6 Subs: Ulloa - 6 Gray - 6 Schullp - 7 Fans - 10 Ranieri - 7 Agree with this. Maybe a bit harsh on Huth. Bit dissapointed Rannieri didn't keep Albrighton on.
kingfox Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 8 - Morgan & Drinkwater 7 - Simpson, Mahrez, King, Vardy 6 - The rest
Thracian Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Kasper 6 (Didn't shine and even seemed uncertain at) Simpson 7 Morgan 7 (Missed a great chance that should have been buried but defended well) Huth 6 (At fault for their goal, when out-muscled and too slow reacting, plus missed a good headed chance but did some solid stuff too) Fuchs 6 (Might have been sent off for his over-the-top tackle and a bit up and down with his passing) Mahrez 7 (One assist and so much effort to unlock the West Brom defence. Chose wrong with the overhead kick inattempt instead of heading across goal) Drinkwater 8 (Busy and effective. His deflected goal from King's feed being reward for having a go). King 8.5 (One goal which should have been the winner and one assist plus an entirely positive contribution apart from one bad pass when left in an awkward position near the end. Good to see him attacking as well as defending again). Albright 7.5 (Excellent. Lots of crosses and penetrative runs.). Vardy 7.5 (Missed a great headed chance which hit the bar and offered a considerable threat at other times but in patches. Needed more help up front) Shinji 7 (Simple tap in missed but his usual busy self in his support play) Subs: Gray 6 (Got a few crosses in but forever turnng onto his right foot and didn't either vary or flight them well enough). Ulloa 5.5 (One great chance squandered) Schlupp 6.5 (Presented a threat but final ball still frustrating).
Dickov22 Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Kasper 6 Maybe should have done better for the first goal? Simpson 7 Defended well again Huth 5 At fault for the first goal- Kasper expected him to get the ball but he was slow and cumbersome. I really think his lack of pace is our only weak link . Luckily he's a good enough defender to rarely allow himself to be one on one Morgan 10 As good a performance as I've ever seen from him. Rondon was a handful but Wes was superb. Last ten he was everywhere- what an inspirational captain. Unlucky not to score Fuchs 6 Loses a mark for his poor challenge but otherwise good. Best left back we've had in years Albrighton 7 Thought he came off way too early. Really good again King 7 Never lets us down. Great finish for the goal Drinkwater 9 Gets forward so well these days. Controlled the game for us . Fantastic Mahrez 8 Great assist and some fantastic play. He's mesmerising at times. Kept going and I felt we should have got him on the ball more than we did second half Okasaki 6 Tries hard but just no goal threat Vardy 8 Back to his best and unlucky not to score. Thought his header was fantastic rather than a poor miss. He did well to get there and put such power on it. Unlucky Subs Ulloa 6 Thought he'd put himself about a bit more against their giants Gray 5 Would rather Albrighton was on. Not sure he's premier league level yet Schlupp 7 Gave us a different option and found lots of space I thought it was a brilliant performance and there's nothing to suggest we are faltering. So unlucky not to win and some of the play was fantastic, especially second half.
goose2010 Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Simpson I thought was great, having over 2 weeks off I thought he covered well put in some important tackles and didn't really put a foot wrong, great game.
notnow john Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Drinkwater. 8.5. Created, defended, scored, absolutely everywhere Morgan 8 magnificent Kasper , Huth, Okasaki. 6. All the others. 7.5. Crowd. 8 Great effort, deserved more.
Captain... Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 This is so hard to do, as we were so good, but didn't win. So many good performances 2 dropped points... Oh well, Drinkwater and Morgan were both fantastic: 9 Albrighton, Simpson, King: 8 Mahrez, Vardy, Schlupp: 7 Fuchs, Huth, Okazaki, Schmeichel, Gray, Ulloa: 6 Ranieri: 8 expected starting line-up, but good subs all having an impact, and was right to tell Kasper to stay in nets. This wasn't a desperate must win game, a point whilst not perfect could turn out to be a good point in the long run, the risk of conceding after letting Kasper go forwards is a lot greater than the increased chance of scoring and would have been a lot more damaging. We need to keep calm in these next 10 games and not panic and get desperate. We aren't going to pick up 30 points from 30 and neither are Spurs nor Arsenal. Refs: 5 not bad, but I thought they were inconsistent and frustrating, I think Mahrez's handball came after he was pushed by the West Brom player, but I will need to see it again. West Brom 6: weren't bad, probably the best I've seen them play with some actual attacking intention
shen Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Schmeichel 6 - Got a touch on Rondon's effort, could maybe have stayed on his line, but OK to come out. No chance with the other goal. Mixed distribution, some duffers, some stunners. Simpson 7 - Was solid all game. Had a couple of wayward passes, but also made some crucial interceptions. Most definitely the best option we have at right back. Morgan 8 - No blame for either goal and was surprisingly stronger when holding off Rondon (what a monster!) than Huth. Good with the ball at his feet and showed some superb marauding skills in the final 15 minutes. Led by example. Huth 5 - Surprising mistake for their first goal. Did alright without being spectacular otherwise, but seemed rather shaken after Rondon pulled his pants down. Fuchs 6 - Standard solid performance in defence, but lacked somewhat going forward. Mahrez 9 - Simply amazing first half. What a fantastic assist and it's weird we couldn't exploit that WBA had three men on him and STILL couldn't contain him! Dropped off second half only to turn on the boosters again near the end. Shame about the handball that led to their second goal and obviously his decision-making is still lacking at times. Drinkwater 9 - Fantastic performance in the middle and dominated proceedings despite not having Kanté next to him. So many great passes, superb movement and always involved. Got rewarded with the deflected shot and instrumental in keeping up the pressure throughout the game. King 7 - Slightly harsh given he got a goal and an assist. Superb in the final third and alright in the middle third, but I feel that with Kanté in the middle, we wouldn't have conceded the first goal. Fletcher had oceans of space in King's/Albrighton's area to thread that pass. But it's not his fault we didn't win this game. Albrighton 9 - Like Mahrez, I felt Albrighton was flying in his own way. Superb crosses were flying in all over and his pass to Mahrez for the equaliser was inch-perfect. Got wrongly substituted around the hour mark when he was terrorizing their right back. Should maybe have sat narrower in the lead up to their first goal. Okazaki 6 - If he had put one of his chances away, I would be tempted to give him an 8. His harrying made us turn over possession numerous times and he got into great positions. Sadly, his finishing is wayward. Best allround game since Tottenham away in the Cup. Vardy 5 - I'm sorry, but he had to score today. He virtually repeated the trick from WBA away last season, but this time he fluffed his lines. Poor header from Mahrez' cross first half too, and you expect better from him this season. Yes, he chased and closed down well enough but he didn't get into the best positions otherwise. Provided good chances for Schlupp and also the cross for Mahrez at the death. I'm being overly critical with his rating because few want to recognise that he was a bigger culprit than Okazaki was. Subs: Gray 5 - He did alright, but worse than Albrighton who got replaced. Why does Ranieri keep putting him into difficult games or situations? Ulloa 5 - Didn't get on the end of anything which is why he was brought on. Schlupp 7 - He was very good for that half hour he came on. Was centimeters away from snatching what would have been the winner. You never know what you get with his end product though. Ranieri 5 - It's another harsh rating, because I thought the team played very very well. Maybe Albrighton needed a rest after staying on for the full 90 mins on Saturday, but it looked a terrible substitution at the time. You never felt confident that Gray was going to provide any answers. In hindsight, maybe playing a 5-3-2 from the start would've been wise given they were actually had less chances than Norwich. Then again, any other day we would've scored five or six...
Sampson Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 9 - Morgan, Drinkwater, Simpson, Albrighton 8 - Mahrez, King 7 - Fuchs, Vardy, Okazaki, Schlupp 6 - Schmeichel, Ulloa 5 - Huth 4 - Gray
kingcarr21 Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Albrighton was so frustrating last night. He lost the ball so many times with sloppy passing and yet he also put in some wonderful balls. One extreme to the other.
ImBlue Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Morgan and Drinkwater - 9 Simpson, King, Mahrez - 8 Fuchs, Albrighton, Kasper - 7 Vardy - 6 Huth - 5 Okazaki - 4 Not interested in rating 20 minute sub cameos.
M0901 Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Drinkwater (9) was superb, Morgan (8) also for his handling of Rondon who I was impressed with Shinji (6) had no end product which was annoying, but can't fault his effort Simpson (8) also good, a couple of vital interceptions and very solid. Can't even remember who played on their left so that tells its own story Delighted for King (8) solid again and a lovely finish
Sampson Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Albrighton was so frustrating last night. He lost the ball so many times with sloppy passing and yet he also put in some wonderful balls. One extreme to the other. He must've created about 5 or 6 absolute clear cut opportunities. Until he was taken off he looked our most likely route to scoring and the most likely to open WBA up. He was brilliant. If Shinji and Vardy scored rather than hitting the bar he'd have 2 assists and everyone would be calling him MOTM, wasn't his fault they missed free headers and an excellent ball to Mahrez for the 2nd as well.Crossing or long passing is one of the hardest skills in the game, you can't hit your mark every time. But if you don't gamble you never score, that's what our play has been built on all season, it's why we have the lowest pass accuracy but are the top scorers in the division.
ThaiFox Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Ranieri -7.5- I don't know what more he could have done. Good subs in the main, although I wouldn't have taken Albrighton off as I thought he was brilliant, and maybe Schlupp could have come on earlier for Fuchs. Fail to see why he keeps bringing Gray on in these critical situations. Schmeichel -6 - No chance with either goal. Apart from that I can't remember if he made any other saves. Just love his passion and spirit. Simpson -8 - Superb game from Simpson. Can't remember him missing a tackle. I thought it was his best game for us. Clearly determined to make up for his sending off. Morgan -8- Wish he had scored from his chance near the end. I often wonder why he goes up, as he never looks like scoring and doesn't cause the chaos he should. Huth -6-Terrible misjudgement for the first goal. Did well after that, but like Morgan, should have scored late on with a free(ish) header. Fuchs -6- Caught out early on, but learned quickly and played well after that. Very lucky not to be sent off. Mahrez -7- Superb first half. A fantastic assist for King's goal. Second half not so good and handball led to their goal, with poor decisions towards the end letting him down. Drinkwater -9- MOTM. Awesome performance and dominated midfield. Brilliant passes throughout. Best midfielder around at the moment. King -7- Played better than I thought, and great finish for goal. Didn't let us down in the absence of Kante. Albrighton -8.5- Another excellent performance from him and could easily have been MOTM. Dangerous crosses and should not have been subbed. Okazaki -5- This is harsh, because he played well. But he has to score more with the chances he gets. He must sharpen up to take some pressure off Vardy & Mahrez. Vardy -7- Should have scored, but good to see him chasing around like a tiger. Obviously very upset at the end as I saw him shouting 'f**k' at the final whistle. I liked that. Subs: Gray -5- Can't understand why Ranieri keeps bringing him on in such difficult games as he looks too lightweight. Didn't do much for me. Ulloa -5- No real impact, but unlike Gray, it was right to bring him on. Schlupp -8- He was excellent. I thought he could have come on earlier to replace Fuchs. So much pace and looks fresh and hungry. Great to have him back. Officials -6- Thought they did well. Let the game flow. We were lucky that MA didn't send Fuchs off. WBA -7- I was worried about this match, which is why I wanted them to stay in the cup to keep their mind off games like this. Played well and contributed to a great match. We should have won, but credit to them for fighting so hard with little to play for. These type of games can be the most difficult because, unlike the Norwich match, they had little to lose and can play without fear. Just a shame the crap team that played at Peterborough and Reading didn't turn up for this match. Watford up next. If we play like last night we should win, although it's another of those matches where they can play with freedom and without fear. We have to win, because I believe the dreadful Tottingham Hotspuds will beat West Ham tonight and Arsenal on Saturday, as their away form is so good and they are better than both. I hope I am wrong and they lose both, but just can't see that happening. They are firm title favourites now and unless they get injuries, suspensions or just get tired I can't see them slipping up. Poncy has them playing well.
Kitchandro Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Kasper - 4 - All over the place again. No idea when to come off his line or not and his kicking is regularly pathetic. Simpson - 3 - Defensively he didn't have to do much. In a match we dominated, he was way too ponderous in possession and struggles to get the ball under control - a sign of a very average player I'm afraid. Morgan - 9 - Thought he drove forward all game like a captain should and was largely solid at the back. Huth - 5 - Allegedly at fault for the goal but I have only seen it once. We had a lot of the ball and like Simpson, he didn't move it quick enough and seems too happy to kick into touch. Fuchs - 3 - Gave the ball away countless times and looked nervous. A rare poor performance. Mahrez - 6 - The odd run brought people to their feet but he was largely frustrating. Nice assist though.King - 3 - Aside from his goal he was shocking. He's no Kante, we know that, but he just lacked any sort of work rate or intensity. He gave players way too much space and barely won a tackle. Some of the ratings for him on here are ludicrous. Drinkwater - 9 - Exceptional, especially considering he was doing 2 players' jobs in the middle. Another mature display which shows why he should be a serious consideration for an England spot.Albrighton - 8 - Thought he had a very good game and looked dangerous throughout. No idea why he was taken off. Okazaki - 3 - A lot of running around but he's too erratic. One minute his touch is fabulous, the next it's awful. His finishing is consistently poor though, and it cost us big time last night. There's a just a lack of quality from him which is why he should have been replaced with a better striker in January.Vardy - 5 - Did well until he got in the box, where he could and arguably should have scored a hat-trick. Ulloa - 6 - Didn't do much wrong but no telling contribution Schlupp - 3 - Absolute donkey. Take away his pace and he's one of the worst players you've seen at this level. He's too thick to even use his pace most of the time. Gray - 5 - Like Ulloa, did ok but not quite enough.
Guest ttfn Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Unlike Kitchandro to bring the party down. Also, shout out to Rondon for being the first player I've seen manage to outmuscle Big Wes.

He misplaced loads in the first half. Like I said though, he put in some wonderful balls aswel. Overall he had a great game.
shen Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Only* on Foxestalk will you find a player given a 3/10 rating after getting a goal and an assist in a game where we score two goals in a draw. *Probably not
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Find myself giving the majority of the team 8s, but we didn't win the game! Absolutely bizarre how we can play that well and not beat West Brom. I suppose that's football though. Perform like that for the rest of the season and we'll be fighting for the title without a doubt

Corky Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Schmeichel- 6 (Couldn't anything about the second goal, first possibly, apart from that untroubled) Simpson- 7 (Made some crucial interceptions and touches to take danger away) Morgan- 8 (Excellent game. Battled hard, drove the team on, deserved more from his attacking effort towards the end) Huth- 5 (Easily brushed aside by Rondon which proved pivotal) Fuchs- 5 (Not brilliant) Mahrez- 7 (Real mixed bag. Brilliant assist, tried to do too much at other times but ended the game strongly and forced several fouls) King- 7 (He's not Kante, we missed him but an assist and goal is fine, usual King display elsewhere on the pitch) Drinkwater- 9 (Superb, ran the game for us) Albrighton- 8 (Put over some great crosses which should've been converted) Okazaki- 5 (General play was good, finishing not) Vardy- 7 (Worked hard and forced one chance from little, should've scored in the first half)
