Bazly Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 Some say, that the Walker Stadium is regularly visited by Buddhist Monks to give the ground, the players and the supporters a favourable passage through the rigours of battle. Some say its because King Richard III has finally been laid to rest. Whichever, they really screwed the three in the chasing pack tonight. Lets hope the head grounds man finds a few three leaf clovers in the turf this week, then it'll be all bases covered. Except, does anyone know if Justin Welby is on our case?
FoxesFan94 Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 No Gods or Kings. Only Man. Would you kindly win the league please Leicester

Sampson Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 I'd say Monks are probably the third biggest reason for our success, right after Richard the III's descent from purgatory to the netherworld and racist orgies.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 Was expecting a thread about Gary Monk
LanguedocFox Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 Richard III is far more important. Since he was stuck in the Cathedral live on telly, we've only lost four PL games.
GaelicFox Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 The most significant thing that links this run of luck , and deserved results is staring us all in the face , well in the hand " in the ancient nomadic monk tribes of Tibet the belief that a particular form of group chanting and rythmic clapping called "fookwewinit" brings pleasure to Buddha and encourages luck , to encourage "fookwewinit" the Tibetan monk tribes will often make clappers from wood or paper and use them in the ceremony "geerinem" , this raises the spirits of the group to higher states on emotion till they reach the ultimate rhythm of joy call "goallvardy", the history of the clapper in Tibet is a long and successful one" It's the clappers

Vacamion Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 They actually stay as guests in a dwelling near the King Power stadium, for a nominal fee of a shilling, its a Bob Monkhouse.. I read this to the end and did not spot the punchline approaching. I feel shame.

MC Prussian Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 For one moment, I thought it was about Garry Monk. "The Garry Monk Effect is a variation of the Butterfly Effect, but with football managers involved. It describes an event having immediate impact on a future, yet unforeseeable event in which a new manager achieves the unthinkable as a consequence of a previous managerial change at the same club, like beating Arsenal at the Emirates".

Have to say my 1st thought was the same. Is it worrying when I see the monk affect I think of some bloke?
