Guest WarehamFox Posted 14 March 2016 Posted 14 March 2016 With 8 to go who should it be? Nationally they will pick Vardy or Mahrez, but as a City fan I would have to go for Kante! He turns up every game, not that the others don't but he never seems to have a dip!

Richard Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Vardy and Mahrez have been superb, but they aren't the best in their respective positions. I can't think of a player in the world who's better than Kanté at what he does.
Benguin Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Top players for me are Kante, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Vardy, Kane, Payet, ighalo, Butland and Willian. Winner for me would be Kante but think it'll be out of Vardy mahrez and Kane
WesMorganGod Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Morgan.. and its not even close. 2nd would be Vardy and 3rd Mahrez.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Every member of the team has been terrific tbh. Even the players who are not featuring as much deserve a mention. Consistently I would say Kante, because every match he is fantastic. He has helped provide the goals for Vardy, Mahrez and others. Could easily be Vardy or Mahrez though. Vardy has set a new record of goals scored in consecutive games, assists other players scoring, and has scored an impressive 19 goals this season himself. Mahrez, he can produce moments of class in any part of each game, 15 goals, plenty of assists, has immense skill. Wes Morgan. Again another candidate for player of the year. He's been great all season.
Bert Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Kante for me, personally. Although wouldn't be surprised if it was Vardy or Mahrez. Can imagine he will win players player.
Chester Dontlie Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 I Kante disagree with you lads. Fergie got that spot on as well (and that other thing, hopefully).
Oxfordfox83 Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Kante by a distance for me. We created a moment of brilliance yesterday, and Kante made that moment into three points with a masterclass second half. As he has so often this season. The team has grown into a solid top half side, Vardy and Mahrez have elevated us to top 4, but Kante has turned that into title contenders. 10 year contract please...
goose2010 Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Morgan.. and its not even close. 2nd would be Vardy and 3rd Mahrez. Calm down Wes you are having an incredible season, but Kante, Mahrez and Vardy are ahead of you
Fox92 Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 It really is impossible to choose. In fact, it should go to the team if we win the league.
Guest Col city fan Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Kante now for me. Can't think of any poor performance he's put in whereas Mahrez and Vardy have been splendid but have had poor games.
Fox 4 Life Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Kante deserves it, Vardy was unplayable earlier on but he has dropped off recently. Mahrez is magical and has single handeldly won us games but again he is not consistent.
Nod.E Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Has to be Kante. Mahrez has been skilful and clinical. Vardy has been menacing and deadly. But we've seen that before. What Kante has done for us this season is like nothing I have ever seen before in football. Imagine being an opposition centre midfielder knowing that your next game is against Kante. He just absolutely dominates. More than Makelele ever did, and he had a role named after him! He does the Makelele breaking up play job but then somehow also finds the energy to drive the team forward. He'll pop up on the left wing, at right back, or even on our own goal line. How he manages to cover the ground he does is a minor miracle. I honestly believe if you added Kante to any team in this league you'd add a good 5 positions to their current standing. The man is an absolute machine.
EGBFitness Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Was thinking this earlier so glad there's a thread now Such a hard decision because we have had an amazing year, every player has had their moments and bought something different. For me it has to be between Vardy, Mahrez, Kante or Morgan. For me Kante just pips it though. He is our engine, he is everywhere! He gives players freedom like Mahrez to attack and helps protect the defence. Personally I think he has become a better player too, his distribution and decision making has got better as the season has continued. I can't think of another midfielder since Makalele who has bossed a holding CM role. To think aswell that most weeks we are outnumbered in the central midfield and we still dominate.
ThaiFox Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 You could put up a case for every player in our usual starting line up. Kante has been awesome, Mahrez brilliant and a match winner, Drinky has been superb, Kasper for his spirit and passion as well as his contributions, Morgan & Huth for being so consistent and solid, Fuchs for being a proper and such a cultured left back, Simpson who has shocked us all by really stepping up, Albrighton for his workrate and all round contributions, Okazaki for his running and stunning shin'knee goal at Newcastle, Ulloa and Schlupp for some excellent performances. But for me it has to be Vardy. The man sums up Leicester City. Full of determination, commitment, spirit, passion, desire and never gives less than 100%. I really feel he is our most important player, almost a talisman. Not to mention his record breaking P/L goal scoring run. If he stays with us until he retires he will become a real and proper club legend and he fully deserves it.
Foxxed Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 It's too difficult. It's not only that Kante, Mahrez and Vardy that make it difficult. Others are arguably as vital to the team. Hijack the vote and give it to Steve Walsh Snr. Seems unfair to whoever we don't give it to.
Countryfox Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Morgan. Well if it was only the back 4 we were looking at I'd say he was in with a chance .... But then again hasn't Fooooks been fantastic, you can see why he is an international captain, .... and Simpson has made that full back position his own and really tightened the back 4 up .... and how could we ignore Hooooth !! ... the man is a monster and would we be where we are now without him ???? Wes ain't bad either.
ithuriel Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 This is going to be hard to pick but I'm going to have to go with Kante at present.

Morgan is the best though because the day Leicester changed was 30th january 2012 when we brought Morgan, that changed our club forever, its been all up hill since that very day, won the championship and now will win the premiership. I know we would be in league 1 right now if we didn't buy Morgan, Mahrez and Kante and Fuchs all of these people would never have existed in terms of Leicester. then not to mention behind the scenes, he is the huge leader and what Morgan says goes. He has more say than Pearson or Ranieri ever has. Lose the stars like Vardy or Mahrez then it will be a blow but can be replaced, lose Morgan and we crumble, we would go down faster than Forest. People just see the obvious on the pitch, but thats only 10%. Arsenal would win the prem easily if they had a big leader like Morgan, skills is overated.

Guest CityFan 06 Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 The award could be for any member of this great team. We've made some great signings and the team who played last season have had the experience of playing BPL football every week which has been really beneficial for this season.
