Swarles Barkley Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 They are very good against the "big teams". Payet of course is very good but other players such as lanzini, carroll, noble will be dangerous. Tough game but hopefully we can nick it
Dr The Singh Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Payet is the main man. Kante will have to be at his best
Cornish Lair Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 If we get a draw I would be happy. If we win, I would be over the moon.
FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Still think this is the toughest game left. A win would be unbelievable, they have the FA Cup replay against Man Utd mid-week (think they'll win), that might leave them a bit short.
ElusiveEd Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 If this was away I'd be seriously worried. It's a home game and, to me, that makes a MASSIVE difference on this one. I agree re Mahrez, I thought today that Sunderland had him sussed but he was just poor and benching him for West Ham could focus him again. I don't know where his head is at the moment, it aint in sync with his feet, but it does only take just 1 second of pure genius from him to change things. Another 1-0 next week. A draw would be OKish but a loss would be too much for the nerves to take.
ALC Fox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 As we've beaten them twice already this season, I'd like to think that we're their bogey team. 3 more points as we march on. Morgan and Huth will have a battle against Carroll but they're made of much sterner stuff than Gabriel and Koscielny. Mahrez needs to pull his finger out. Whether it's a rocket up the arse, an extra day's rest, or a place on the bench like earlier in the season, Ranieri should know what he needs to get him back firing on all cylinders. On the plus side, it sounded like Drinky, Kanté, Albrighton, Gray, Vardy, and Ulloa all played well today. I'd like to see Schlupp fit again and coming off the bench. His would be an interesting battle vs. Antonio.
Corky Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 And to think, if we hadn't beaten them at home last year we might not be here to do this.
Cornish Lair Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 I think spurs have got the easier last 5 games, winning 4/5 on current form. We should win at least 3/5 of the remaining matches. So it is going to be tight, and I ain't counting no chickens yet.
biggs Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 No worries at all. We're at home and we're the best team. Our form is second to no team and West Ham give up goals. All those worrying themselves silly until next Sunday .....enjoy your week

NewEnglandFox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 I love that West Ham have a cup tie on Wednesday. Only a positive for us.
weller54 Posted 10 April 2016 Author Posted 10 April 2016 I love that West Ham have a cup tie on Wednesday. Only a positive for us. Extra time would be brilliant!
LJS Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 West Ham's away form is significantly poorer than our home form and they concede plenty. We'll be fine. I just don't see us not winning the league now. Nothing about our season suggests we have the sort of collapse necessary in us.
Webbo Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Is he playing?? Is he playing?? He plays for Man City.
Jimothy Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 It's a tricky game. The defence has done well recently by pushing players wide and dealing with crosses. But we've got to watch we don't let Payet and Lanzini have even a sight of goal within 25-30 yards because they'll stick one in the top corner. You can be the best defender in the world but if someone is cracking shots in before you've even had chance to get near them there's not much you can do. Hopefully Kante will keep them quiet. Also a mandatory 2 week fine for anyone giving a free kick within 30 yards of goal!
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Ulloa in for Okazaki. He offers so much more.Otherwise, as you were. This is a big big game and three points against a very good West Ham side could be massive. Plus, we are due a performance alongside a result. I think West Ham style with is playing at home could really do that.
UPinCarolina Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Still buzzing from earlier, so I may not be thinking clearly about the situation - But if we look at this results for this run of fixtures from earlier in the season...we picked up 3 points against West Ham, 3 against Swansea (and battered them), 1 against Man U, 3 against Everton and 3 against Chelsea. I'd expect that we'll see a loss, a draw and 3 victories out of the same run this time around. We should beat Swansea, Everton and Manchester United. If we're to lose it will be against Chelsea after we have secured the title, or perhaps against West Ham.We have nothing to fear!
Jace Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 The fact that West Ham have a really important match Wednesday night against Man Utd is a huge bit of luck for us
biggs Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Think this will be quite easy based on what I have seen. Our team defence is rock solid theirs isn't and they'll come at us right from the kickoff like Sunderland did today after we scored. Can't see them sitting back. This will open them up defensively. I expect a great game from Mahrez and Vardy
Ozwin Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 This game will be about the two Frenchman, Kante vs Payet. Battle of the ages.
UPinCarolina Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 This game will be about the two Frenchman, Kante vs Payet. Battle of the ages. I didn't even consider the Payet factor. He'll have his hands full with Kante (and Kante with him) - perhaps Mahrez will be inspired to reach new heights for fear of being out shown by Payet?
