stretch1965 Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Huth V Carroll, both tough opponents of them will walk. 1-0 city
MIAMI_FOX Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Mahrez has been a waste of space the last few games. Needs to pull his socks up.
AyewJoking Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 mahrez's poor form has coincided with him not using any gel in his hair.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Every game we keep saying is tough and s possible banana skin. Let's keep saying it and hope the results are the same!!!! Totally agree Raj
Gerard Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 I'm a Hammers fan, but for N17 reasons I really won't mind if you win. Good luck to you. Unlike the posters on their forum I don't think you've been lucky or play schoolboy football. It would be great to see you boys play us in the Charity Shield.
americanfox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 mahrez's poor form has coincided with him not using any gel in his hair. Or wearing gloves?
Gerard Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Draws are not going to get the job done. We have to assume Tottenham will win their last five matches, we need three more wins and have to do this ourselves and can't rely on them slipping up but just treat it as a bonus if they do. Three more wins guarantee the title and I've listed them in order of how difficult it will be. For everyone we fail to win above the line we have to win one below the line. Swansea (h) Everton (h) West Ham (h) ----------------------------- Chelsea (a) Man Utd (a)
UPinCarolina Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Or wearing gloves? This. Amartey wore gloves and look at how he played today. It's like Vardy's cast, or Albrighton wearing loud boots.
foxinsox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 It would be great to see you boys play us in the Charity Shield. Yep. The Hammers in the Charity Shield would make for a great day out. Hammers for the Cup, Leicester for the League.
AyewJoking Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Was hoping West Ham would have a tough cup game in midweek but after seeing Man Utd's performance today....... ..........man utd will be going all out for the win as they've blown their top 4 chances?
ARM1968 Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Carroll scored 3 because Arsenals CB's are pussies. Huth and Morgan are different gravy. Doesn't mean he won't score, just that it'll be a tougher prospect. Payet better at home than away but damned good.

fuchsntf Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Be tough but so are our team! Chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarge I am right beside you on this, but you chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarge first. This is no different to any other game we have had. They have like others , dangerous attacking players, good midfield, but so did others, and we beat them. each game we win, means another game gone, affording us a slip up 'somewhere-else'. Another point pundits, reporters, broadcasters, and fans keep talking about pressure, I actually believe that neither our players nor Spurs players, are feeling any type of pressure or stress , they are enjoying the moment and their self-belief. Its the fans that are kacking-themselves.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 11 April 2016 Posted 11 April 2016 Start Ulloa for this over Okazaki. His and Huth's height should be effective against Carroll on corners and Ulloa has worked really hard in his recent sub appearances

Swansea (h) Everton (h) West Ham (h) ----------------------------- Chelsea (a) Man Utd (a) My thoughts exactly. I'm less confident about us landing the title now that I have been for the last month. At half time yesterday the much-maligned Mr Souness remarked that it was like watching a Championship match and I couldn't disagree, there was much more perspiration than inspiration. We got the win but could have easily only managed a draw - West Ham have many more class players than Sunderland and provide a sterner test. If we are to succeed we will need those bits of magic that were there in previous matches. West Ham have goals in them so I don't see us maintaining the run of clean sheets. Spurs looked capable of beating anyone and they have Stoke next, who if they play like they did against Liverpool will not provide much resistance. Earlier in the season I predicted that we would need 79 points for the title and I haven't changed my mind, it could even be more.

Spurs away form is variable, and I think it quite likely that Spurs away at Chelsea will be the game that clinches it for us. I think that they will drop points at Stoke too. West Ham will be tough, but we have beaten them 3 times in the last 12 months. Keep some perspective.
Sionnach gorm Posted 11 April 2016 Posted 11 April 2016 I expect a goal from Sinji next game. Every time we get on him, his next game seems to be a redeaming one.

Earlier in the season I predicted that we would need 79 points for the title and I haven't changed my mind, it could even be more. I've had a restless night thinking about this. I wish the press would stop going on and on about us winning the title, because we haven't. Tottenham will probably win all their five remaining matches. They're quite capable of going to Stamford Bridge and coming away with all three points, and it's really difficult to see who else is going to stop them. If we get anything other than a win against West Ham this place will go into meltdown as more and more people take their heads out of the clouds and start becoming aware of this. I am really not interested in arguments that go 'we are bound to get a positive result at Man Utd or Chelsea' or 'Spurs will undoubtedly slip up at Stoke'. All that stuff is pre-game bluster. Things have gone our way for so long now that it would be nice to see us finish the job in style. I hope we do. But I am fu cking nervous about all this. The thought of Harry Kane or Dele Alli lifting the trophy is enough to fill me with dread, with lots of pats on the head from the media along the lines of 'Leicester City, what a wonderful season they've had - it wasn't quite enough, though - still, they've got the Champions League to look forward to'. It's enough to inspire nightmares. It ain't over until it's over, as the fat lady says.

Assume Spurs will win all their remaining fixtures - take that as a given (although it's not) and then disregard it, we can't influence that. Focus only on what we control. It's very simple. During the last year we have lost a total of four games. Of our five games left to play we need to win three. It's in our own hands.
Ric Flair Posted 11 April 2016 Posted 11 April 2016 Mahrez needs to have one of his ridiculous games where everything he does is sublime. He's not been anywhere near as effective at home as he has been away this season but I fancy him to get a brace on Sunday and overshadow Payet.

But strange things happen to a team when faced with run-ins. Our great escape last season is testament to that.
Babylon Posted 11 April 2016 Posted 11 April 2016 I'm just glad they have the cup game midweek, less time to prepare for our game, less rest... little things like that could give us the edge, to out-do us you have to outwork us. Hope they win so the focus is on the cup.
