Leicester City v West Ham post match thread 2 - 2

Recommended Posts

Schmeichel seemed angry with the fans at the final whistle. Hope he doesn't think the fans were booing the players. They were booing the ref

Not a chance. He was giving it a bit of the old Nigel at Turf Moor last year

It makes you wonder if the authorities ever look at the pathetic decisions given by some ref's. Moss should be relegated to the lower leagues.

Don't punish the lower leagues for something they haven't done. :(

I agree Claudio was great.

We have nothing to fear. Screwed by the ref. We move on regardless. We had a cushion. We still have a cushion.

Slowly, slowly. We will be fine.

Claudio's attitude has been spot on all season

Really hope we win it for him as much as anything

True gentleman with a great sense of humour and perspective

Still shattered and worn out from the game, almost lost my voice mainly shouting expletives at that utter bellend ref.

Salvaging a point almost feels like a win when you have a ref turning the game against you like that.

Lads kept going, Leo was class today when he came on. All played out of their skin as usual. COYB!

Was the refreee a Spurs fan? After those horrible decisions a draw is absolutely ok. This is an important point, losing today would have been extremely discouraging for the players.

You raise an interesting point. Moss now lives in Yorkshire however, he was born and raised in North London so he either supported Spurs or Arsenal as a youngster. He was shocking and changed the direction of that game completely. Huth has his shirt ripped off his back the other week against Palace no penalty, he gets mugged today in the box no penalty.

Vardys was a penalty player pulls him back and a tangle of legs is a penalty. We were denied a win by the referee's incompetence. However, it could be a point gained come the end of the season.

Sunderland, North London...

Ulloa was great today not had much of a chance this season yet still runs himself into the ground every time he comes on. Fair to say not many clubs have three strikers who never ever stop working for the team like we do.

Just got back from the game.

Absolutely socking performance from the referee. I don't think Vardy should have got either of the yellow cards he received. Contact was minimal but it was there and whilst it was no penalty that is a bullshit sending off. West Ham penalty should never have been given, but neither should the one for the foul on Schlupp. He basically bottled it because he knew he had made poor decisions all game and the crowd were on his back.

Fair play to West Ham for their second, Cresswell's goal was a screamer. Great composure from Leo for the equaliser which makes the result a lot more tolerable.

The game feels like a loss, but winning the league is about consistency over 38 games. In those 38 games it's inevitable you will have some decisions go against you and the one saving grace I take from this match is that it felt like ALL of the bad luck and bad decisions were thrown into one game. Hopefully I am right about that.

Overall there were a ton of positives from this game:

  • Awesome atmosphere from the crowd. "Sing your hearts out for the lads!"
  • We defended well before the referee ruined it
  • We were a menace before the sending off. Had it not happened we would have won by 2 or 3.
  • Ulloa came on and made a huge difference. He held it up and got others into the game. We could have scored from open play with 10 men with better decision making in the final third.

We need 8 points from 4 games - a fair ask for Champions, so let's prove we can do it! It doesn't matter what Spurs do!

Moss had an agenda. He got virtually everything wrong not just the big calls and had lost control of the game when he booked Vardy. Could be a massive point in the end. Schlupp could use a right foot. Come on Stoke.

NBCSN has video of Vardy calling the ref a cooking cvnt after getting sent off.  Hopefully Moss does not include this in his match report.  He has enough influence on the title race as is.

Not sure how he can get in trouble for telling the truth.

Nah, Moss will look in the mirror and think "This lad talks some sense"

Somebody else used the word "random" to describe Moss and that's absolutely the right word.

Something would (or wouldn't) happen and he'd just blow his whistle and then seemingly point his arm in a direction that didn't seem to have any relation to the period of play that had preceded it.

Worst decision by far was not sending off Payet for his dive - an absolutely mind-bogglingly shit piece of refereeing.
