AKCJ Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Cmon. Let's be honest. He dived. It was a red. But the first yellow card is shocking. I think that is where the problem is.
WesMorganGod Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 It was a stone wall penalty. Vardy should have had no cards at all, the first tackle was not yellow either.
Captain... Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 He wasn't booked for diving, he was booked for scissoring the defender's legs... ...maybe... Stupid decision from Vardy to try and force a penalty when he is on a yellow, he could have shot, or taken it across the defender and then drawn the foul. The problem is Vardy has done that quite a few times, he doesn't always get the decision but he has never been booked for diving.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 He was silly to go down the way he did. With a bit more guile I reckon he could've bought that. Jamie Vardy can do what he likes as far as I'm concerned though. Still a fking hero
Phube Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 How can you 'simulate' when the was a lot of contact?! The question is; is it a foul (and a yellow card) if you initiate the contact?
Dodgy Bob Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Wonder if Vardy's mock dive the other week hasn't done him any favours. Take the mick out of one ref and they gang up on you, they're unprofessional like that.
johnny the fox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Cmon. Let's be honest. He dived. It was a red. bollocks the first booking was an absolute joke...the ref wanted to make a name for himself.. the ref association have bowed to the pressure of its critics by changing the ref for spurs game, that gives it away!
Guest Cujek Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Cmon. Let's be honest. He dived. It was a red. He looked for a pen, wasn't a dive and shouldn't have been a yellow, he also shouldn't have already been on a yellow. Moss is a total fraud of a ref and should be struck off.
RowlattsFox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Vardy tries that a lot, to win a penalty. Nothing wrong with doing that IMO, he did it at arsenal and that was a penalty, but he didn't do it very well today and the way he fell gave the ref an opportunity book him.
Shinji-San Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Cmon. Let's be honest. He dived. It was a red. (shrugs) people often believe what they want to believe but yes, of course it was a card, blatant, unnecessary and quite frankly, pretty embarrassing.
Foxymcoxy Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Hate threads like this. I honestly think you are talking crap. Maybe not a pen definitely not a dive.
Benji Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Yer personally think he dived. He's done it a couple of times this season but previously there's been a lot more contact. The way he jumps up and almost swan dives doesn't help him. First booking is very harsh. The frustrating thing will always be the inconsistency. Within 10 minutes of the red card both Payet and Moses dive in our last third unpunished.
Guest nathan. Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 It wasn't the most blatant dive but he was looking for it
Guest Kopfkino Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Not a penalty, not a dive. Goal kick and get on with the game
daddylonglegs Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Referee hasn't got anything right for me today. Take the big decisions out of the equation and he'd still be getting a '2' on the voting system. He had no control of the game, should have sent Reid off and was gagging to be the centre of attention. His weight's not really relevant but I don't understand someone being that fat and being anywhere near a football field in any capacity!! He was about 40 metres away from Vardy's call! (I'm not expecting him to be as quick as Vardy but still)
Staffs Fox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 It was not a penalty and Vardy was looking for it but there was a coming together so you can't say it was 'simulation'. The ref should have just waved play on
gdl9050 Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 The ref only gives it as a dive because Vardy appeals for the penalty. It's the appeal that gets him a yellow.
Bryn Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 I think the reason it hurts is because it happens week in, week out and referee's choose to interpret them as a 50/50 and let the game play on. In the long run, I wish referee's would do this every single time, because it'd remove it from the game. But in the short term there'd be a lot of red cards and I really hate red cards, it really does change the flow of games.
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Moss is from North London, why wasn't he changed out like Friend was?
MPH Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Cmon. Let's be honest. He dived. It was a red. he didn't dive, he went looking for contact and got it. But that's completely different to it being a dive. You're trying too hard to be different again.
foxfanazer Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 First yellow was never a yellow so no red. There pen was a joke followed by no pen on Huth. Close thread
Bevilacqua Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 In my opinion it wasn't a penalty but at the same time it wasn't a dive. Awful mistake by the refree.
thegaffa Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Vardy's first yellow is a poor decision, disappointed in the decision to issue second yellow but I understand it and to be fair I was more disappointed with Vardy in that incident. However the payet challenge on Vardy is a red to me and also his dive later on is a second yellow. I also thought kouyate's tackle on Kante was a red as both feet left the ground into the challenge. As for the Morgan penalty decision, all corners and most set pieces will result in penalties if that's the criteria for awarding penalty's. Not sure on the schlupp penalty but all in all the ref was shocking.
RowlattsFox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Moss is from North London, why wasn't he changed out like Friend was? This has been said a few times but it's not true, he's from the north east? You'd think moss would be a better referee because he actually played the game a fair bit.
Staffs Fox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Moss is from North London, why wasn't he changed out like Friend was? Jon Moss was born in Sunderland and lives in Halifax so it's hard to class either as North London really
