lgfualol Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 He exaggerated contact I thought. Goal kick at worst though. Ref just thought "I havent made enough controversial calls today, here's another yellow lmao"
Finnegan Posted 17 April 2016 Author Posted 17 April 2016 he didn't dive, he went looking for contact and got it. But that's completely different to it being a dive. You're trying too hard to be different again. Then you must be an ostrich.
Koke Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Was this any different to Norwich away? Or Arsenal away? Both those penalties he was looking for it.
Matt Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 I know a still shot can look worse than reality and I acknowledge Vardy run into the West Ham players path, but since when has that been against the rules? What this photo does prove is there was a tangle of legs, not sure how that can be called a dive.
GlennyFox55 Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Was this any different to Norwich away? Or Arsenal away? Both those penalties he was looking for it. After seeing the replay he sort of jumps up into the air instead of going down more naturally. Thought it was penalty in the ground like everyone else but I've changed my mind, if that was against us i'd be pissed off if it was given.
lestajigs Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Was a dive, he knew what he was doing defo deserved a yellow, but that should of been his first, very very silly could/might of cost us

ScouseFox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 think it's a pen watching the replay. was cautious to comment at the game cos he does try and win them quite a lot. but lookin at it, he's stepped across the defender. is he entitled to do that? of course he fu cking is. he's then been ran into from behind. there is no rule anywhere that says he has to get out the way? is there? is it a book able offence to be between the ball and the defender? i think it'd be clever play to have won a penalty, would've been a bit pissed if he hadn't given a pen but it's lunacy to send him off. this is all without even mentioning that he got booked for winning the ball closing someone down. jon moss had a horror show from start to finish. inside 30 seconds the crowd (on both teams) were on his back after two pretty shit free kicks given either way. then his head went he decided he had to give everything and book everyone. it was a nightmare. it's an impressively bad refereeing performance to have both sets of fans, players, managers and every neutral watching both angry and confused. bin.

UpTheLeagueFox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Not a pen, not a foul, not a dive, not a booking, not a red card IMHO.
GaelicFox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 I have now Watched it 20 times at real time It was NOT a dive 100% there was contact but not enough to give a penalty It was a goal kick There was no simulation , at the speed he was going even slight contact can knock you out of stride 100% NOT a dive !!!
Finnegan Posted 17 April 2016 Author Posted 17 April 2016 To book Vardy for that and not book Payet for a totally comical dive 20 minutes later was outrageous. Agree totally. Moss was dreadful. Sending Vardy off and giving Schlupp a penalty, giving a pen against Morgan and not against Ogbonna, booking Vardy and not Payet. Was absolutely dreadful. Rightly annoyed with the bloke. Just, as with the Arsenal game, the red card is the one thing we should probably blame our own player for. Not that finger pointing should really feature, we're top of the league!!
Cathartic Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Yes, it was a dive. But there was also an elbow and what looked like leg entanglement. The defender was behind and used unfair methods. Vardy made it look like more than it was, but to me the two players both made mistakes so ref should have let it go.
AKCJ Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Don't think it's either a dive or a penalty to be honest. Goal kick should have been the outcome.
gdl9050 Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Don't think it's either a dive or a penalty to be honest. Goal kick should have been the outcome. But he appealed to the ref for a penalty therefore it's a dive
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Even if he deserved a yellow for the 'dive', the first yellow was a joke, he didn't touch the bloke.
Guest ttfn Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 But he appealed to the ref for a penalty therefore it's a dive This makes no sense.
davieG Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Jamie Vardy could face extended ban after Jonathan Moss row Jamie Vardy will miss Leicester's match against Swansea CREDIT: LIVEPIC John Percy 17 APRIL 2016 • 6:36PM Jamie Vardy could face possible action from the Football Association after appearing to swear in the face of referee Jonathan Moss. Vardy is alleged to have shouted “you f****** c***” at Moss and jabbed his finger at the Yorkshire official following his controversial dismissal and may be the subject of an FA investigation. The Leicester striker was given a second yellow card for simulation, after tangling with West Ham’s Angelo Ogbonna in rhe penalty ares, and then confronted Moss before the left the field. The England forward was infuriated by the decision of Moss CREDIT: PA Vardy could have his one-match ban extended if Moss includes the incident in his match report, but manager Claudio Ranieri defended the England international. “Listen, I don’t want to speak about referee, Vardy, the situation, you watched the situation better than me,” he said. “I want to stay calm and speak about football. You are a journalist, you have to write what you see. “He never dives. He’s always good. Very fast, and at this speed, if you touch even a little then (gestures with hand). But it’s OK. “I don’t know [if it was a sending off]. From the bench it’s very difficult to say sending off, penalty, maybe you watch better than me on television. “But of course I’m very sad. Not for the sending off, but because he doesn’t play in the next match.” Jonathan Moss believed Vardy fell to the floor too easily CREDIT: GETTY Vardy will miss next weekend’s home game against Swansea and is now facing a nervous 48 hours to discover if Moss reports the incident to the FA. Earlier this month Chelsea striker Diego Costa was suspended, fined £20,000 and warned as to his future conduct for his reaction to a red card at Everton.

What this photo does prove is there was a tangle of legs, not sure how that can be called a dive. That's a photo of Jamie Vardy diving. He looked like a salmon in spawning season. Look,he's comfortably my favourite player in our squad, the guy's an absolute legend. Worth all his plaudits, big fan. But he took off and went flying forwards to ground like he was scoring the winning try for the Tigers. The second Moss started charging towards the box I knew what was coming. Mistake on Vardy's part, straight back in the team after his suspension, absolutely definitely. But about the only thing Moss got right all day. I don't understand why people are so caught up on contact. Simulation is simulation. Wolfsburg vs Madrid, Marcelo brushes his face against a Wolfsburg player then jumps on the floor claiming he's been hit in the face. The Wolfsburg player made contact with Marcelo but Marcelo is still simulating an offence to get a foul. We either want this shit out of football or we don't. You can't pick and choose because it's your players. I've defended Vardy to the hilt when he's gone down easily after being clipped at speed and I argued relentlessly that he should have gotten a second penalty vs Arsenal and plenty on here disagreed. When you're sprinting and someone clips you, it's hard to stay up. But today he just thought going down was his best option. I was absolutely dead level with it and as soon as the defender had the path to goal blocked off, Vardy was throwing himself forward.
sdb Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 From normal TV view and in real time it looks like a dive. From behind the goal it looked a foul. Still think the ref half guessed it.
Sammy Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 To book Vardy for that and not book Payet for a totally comical dive 20 minutes later was outrageous. This was what completely wound me up. I personally think Vardy dived, Payet did also both were on yellows so where is the consistency?!? Vardy's first yellow is never a yellow too.
RowlattsFox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Wouldn't be surprised to see an additional ban, but hopefully be a warning of future behaviour. Players swear at refs all the time, it's wrong but you can't punish one and not others.

I can't believe how strongly you seem to feel about this incident - I can see where you're coming from, but as Scouse says Vardy's cut across the defender (which he's allowed to do), stopped running (which he's allowed to do) and been knocked over. If Big Wes was chasing a ball back into the corner and shepherding it out for a goal kick, stopped running and then got buffeted over from behind, it would be a free kick, nobody would be saying Wes had "engineered contact", it would just be good play. I don't know what to think - I can see why people think it's a penalty, why people think it's a dive and why people think nothing at all should be given. I certainly think that a wise referee wouldn't have sent him off given that it doesn't appear clear cut and when you look at the two incidents that he's been sent off for, you've got to say that it's horrendously harsh to end up being sent off
