fuchsntf Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Both set of players were dumb.Especially Huth and Morgan after being warned. Vardy before his 1st yellow , like a couple more he had been warned.Vardy had been snapping through a few tackles. Today leicester, paid heavy for .. 1) Not reading , nor listening to the Ref 2 Again not being clinical in front of goal. 3) got into too many wrestling matches, both sides were at it. The ref did a good job today, the players tried it on, and lost. Vardy, should of concentrated going for goal, probably moving left. Honesty good topic name...
Charl91 Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Vardy's first yellow? Harsh. Though the ref then gave out a few harsh yellows. In terms of Vardy running into their player, it certainly wasn't a penalty, was a bit of a dive to be honest. However, I didn't notice that aspect for a while, as I thought Vardy had gone down because he was being pulled back from behind, with a hand on his shoulder. For me, that's a foul, surely? I figured Vardy had dived because the ref wasn't giving anything for the pull back.
WardyisPukka Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 The disgrace is it was never a yellow in the first place
Foxey id Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 The fact that it's being debated as was it or was it not tells me that one thing it wasn't 100% certain and if it isn't then it shouldn't be given, that applies to any ref decision. Of course you arent going to get 100% of city fans thinking it was a dive, so there is bound to be debate

Certainly wouldn't say the Ref did a good job! Vardy's first yellow was very harsh Their first penalty was very harsh We probably shouldn't have got one at the end - ref was trying to even things up The Huth headlock? Had to be given if he's already given one not nearly as bad at the other end. He was standing right next to it ffs.
davieG Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Of course you arent going to get 100% of city fans thinking it was a dive, so there is bound to be debate Not just city fans though is it.
Fox92 Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 I said it was a dive at the time at the game, haven't seen a replay yet but I stand by it. The thing that annoys me is inconsistency. If the **** referee books Vardy for diving then he has to book their players too - especially that Emineke who spent every minute of the game diving.
Matt Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Without sounding like the man I absolutely can't abide, i'll need to see replays, I didn't really see them. Vardy - For me it was a coming together, a tangle, I was shouting for a penalty I admit, but for me think he very hard done by getting sent off, 2nd yellow or not! Their peno, i'm going off other peoples opinions, I was down the other end of the ground but i'm told it was a pathetic decision, and I don't think West Ham would have scored at all, let alone get a 2nd if it wasn't for giving the peno. Our peno, no way. The ref was shit for both teams, yet again we're sitting here discussing some ponce and not a good game, he ruined it today, and should be struck off an absolute joke of a referee. People who have read my views on blaming referees in the past will know I prefer to look at team performances rather than simply blaming the referee for us not winning but I can't really have an opinion on today games or performances without discussing the referee.
J.Lisemore Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 How was it a simple coming together when vardy moves his legs into the defenders on purpose Exactly. People completely missing the point here, no he hasn't 'dived', but he has tried to con the referee into giving a penalty by throwing himself into the defender (not even in line with the ball)

He was a right twat, he was appealing for bookings constantly!
gdl9050 Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Huth told Alan Smith after the game that he didn't think the 'foul' on him was a pen

The West Ham penalty was given because he had warned Huth and Morgan 5 times before about it before he eventually gave it, The Huth one, yes a pen but if he was giving them without warning, West Ham would have got 5 previously

It's either a foul deserving of a penalty, or isn't. If he'd thought the others were penalties, then he should have given them. It's not something you can decide arbitrarily.
daddylonglegs Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 This is why football is so great, so many different opinions! But as one can we all come together and agree that Jon Moss is a bit of a willy puller
Tuna Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Vardy was stupid and he could cost us very much in the run in. He'll be lucky he doesn't get an extension as he was jabbing his finger in the ref's face calling him a ****ing cnut.
ultrafox27 Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 The referee badge should be taken from Jon Moss.. he was really disaster !!!
jmono84 Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Vards got in behind West Ham and in front of the defender and earned the right to step in front of the def... Defender got too tight to his legs and legs got tangled... Dive??? Are ppl blind if they can't see the def's leg completely wipes out vardy??!! Debatable pen but dive?? Are you mad??!!
Stan Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 honestly, watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-naupO0vB8s I can see a tangle of legs - no penalty, no 'dive' in that there was contact and therefore no yellow card.

Callabinho Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Dive? Read the definition of simulation and explain the link?
bluebeau Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 It can't be rescinded because it's from two yellows. Only straight reds can be appealed. Correct, but what a bloody stupid rule! Jamie should not have been given the 1st yellow card coz he never made contact with the Hammers player! Ref was a complete asshole as he made so many bad decisions.
Foxey id Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Not just city fans though is it. Why who else is there on here?

Ref was a complete asshole as he made so many bad decisions. Spot on, he spent the whole of the first half waving yellows for no real reason, it was only a matter of time before someone got two
Stan Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 He did though, warned Huth and Morgan earlier Which in itself was a joke. He should have spoken to the West Ham players too. I had a great view of our penalty area in the second half and there was plenty of jostling, shirt-pulling and pushing from their players which the ref completely ignored.
Bryn Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Reading this, I think you can only conclude he has to be booked. http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/afdeveloping/refereeing/law_12_fouls_misconduct_en_47379.pdf (Do ctrl-F and type "simulation") The actual tangling of legs doesn't seem to be mentioned specifically but by engineering a tangling of legs and then claiming a penalty which wasn't due, you can only conclude Vardy should be cautioned.
