Koke Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 He's a fine defender but his elbows and forearms are all over the place. English refs can be lenient but in the CL next season European refs will not hesitate to give fouls and penalties against him. Numerous times this season he's gotten away with it, Villa and Liverpool spring to mind. He got away with another one today on Reid.
shailen Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 He plays like he is a school bully. He wants to scare attackers through ruffing them up. Take that out of him and he isn't half the player. It's just a fine line he needs to stay the right side of, or be more discrete in doing what he does.
fuchsntf Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Hes been pleasantly worrying me the whole season...
ajthefox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Thread title sounds like the plea of a disapproving mother or something but I do agree. It's a miracle he's not given away more pens imo, I think he gets away with a lot because it simply doesn't get seen.
Guest Col city fan Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 He's been at it all season. We've been lucky it's not been seen more often. The paradox today was that Wes got done for it. When it wasn't even a foul...
Vardinio'sCat Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 He is quite clever/italian with his fouling most of the time, but it can get out of hand. It would be interesting to put a camera on him for a full game. I think you would find players fouling him an awful lot too, because you cannot go shoulder to shoulder with him or Wes, and win. Remember the shirt being taken off of Huth's back? or the almost certain goal denied by a strategically placed hand on his shoulder against Norwich? Quite often he has to push players away before set pieces, which you could call a foul on his part, but is only an attempt to break the 'hold' he is in. I like Huth, he has been magnificent for us, but he does walk the line, just like most decent centre backs.
FireFox Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Remember Norwich away? Ulloa heads it in with his first touch of the game, but it's disallowed because of Huth. We won anyway though.
MPH Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 I suppose being Leicester fans, we HAVE to find something to worry about! Can't be our performances or league position, can it?!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Away from defending yesterday I thought he was a liability and reminded me of the Huth I hated at Stoke
I blame Wellens Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Sometimes u just have to laugh, or you would cry. I love Foxestalk.
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 When he gets away with wrapping his arm around doing ogbannas face 2 meters in front of the linesman and gets away with it, I wouldn't be worried about ol huth.
weller54 Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Cut his arms off then, sorted And legs.. Same as the Knight in The Holy Grail.. 'come back here you coward, I'll bite ya legs off '!!
erlee Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 With regards to players putting their arms around your body or putting a hand on your back when you're flying off (like Vardy ) - the rules need to change
Jace Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Pretty sure if Jon Moss had a good reason to give a penalty against him yesterday he would have done.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 The economy and Chinas human rights record concern me more.
RowlattsFox Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 We definitely won't get away with our style of defending in Europe. Neymar would be on the floor every time Morgan went near him. Morgan and Huth bullied emineke yesterday, refs in Europe won't allow that.
Steameh Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Whenever I have seen him it generally looks 6 of 1. Yes he isn't without sin, but he was fouled several times yesterday both in our box and theirs. Defending is physical, the game is a contact sport and you need leverage to out jump someone. Take that out the game and we might as well be playing sarcastaball.
GaelicFox Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Maybe we should hire Tony Blairs company to advise Robert on how to deal with the fall out of mass murder etc... Just a thought
Larry_LCFC Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Refs will really watch it now for the rest of the season. They need to be so careful.
Finnegan Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Give me Huth and his elbows over some nice boy like Stones or Cahill any day.
Fox seen in Norwich Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Rather have Huth in a blue foxes shirt than anyone elses
