Bluetintedspecs Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 As well as his brilliant Champions League dilly ding dilly dong comment, he's finally admitted we are going for the title and thinks we'll win it Yes "twitchy arse brigade" acceptance, confidence and positivity from the Don. Chaaaaaaaaaaaaarge.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 22 April 2016 Author Posted 22 April 2016 I thought it was 40 points? Ha ha ha, finally admitted in his presser because we've achieved everything else
Munshi Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 We are in the champions league, Dilly ding dilly dong http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11712/10253854/claudio-ranieri-finally-admits-his-leicester-side-can-win-premier-league
shen Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 So we need 8 points to secure the title, and coincidentally 8 points would better our performance from the first half of the season. Surely not...
Jordan Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 That was a master class in management by Ranieri today. At a time when the media is ratcheting up pressure on Leicester because Vardy will be missing for at least one game, and because Spurs are in great form, Ranieri simply ignored this and created the narrative himself. For weeks (months, even), the question in the media was "Can Leicester hold on?" but Ranieri finally admitting the team's next goal is to win the title turns the story from being about Leicester somehow having something to lose to having everything to win. Pressure? What pressure? Once again, Claudio showed that he and his squad are only all too happy to be in this situation.
Spudulike Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Pinocchio over at the Spuds presser was looking a bit pressured if you ask me. Calm down, Mauricio, calm down
4everfox Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 http://youtu.be/IF0WtBipE58 I genuinely love Claudio Ranieri
Kendal Fox Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Pinocchio over at the Spuds presser was looking a bit pressured if you ask me. Calm down, Mauricio, calm down I didn't see it but it seems every other word that's been coming out of his mouth this past few weeks (in particular, the last week) has been "Leicester...this, Leicester that...". No doubt he has done a great job with Spurs, but given Ranieri has done equally well, if not better considering how much more expensive the Spurs team are than ours, it would be nice to see a little humility from Pochettino towards us. Why not say, "Leicester are deservedly at the top, but if they make a mistake we have to aim to take advantage...". Instead it's this cold blooded, "we're gonna pounce on them..." crap, and mentioning us at every opportunity to try and add extra pressure. I might be a prude, but I don't think he's particularly sporting to be honest.
mhs123 Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Brilliant, well done Claudio I believe now more then ever.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 22 April 2016 Author Posted 22 April 2016 As Jordan said, it was a masterclass from the Don. I fkn love that man
simFox Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Great timing, he's managed the fans, media, players and staff right to a tee.
Vacamion Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 When we went up against Palace in 1996 I was at Wembley with my face painted blue and was so proud I could burst. Watching Claudio there made me want to blue up again (despite the fact that everyone around here would probably think it's for Glasgow Rangers). Watching Claudio there was inspirational. I bet the players are inspired, too. We're gonna do this.
harpendenfox Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 He is like smoothing balm on a chesty cough. Ranieri oozes class in everything he does.
promised land Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Just mentioned the boss on the preview for the BBC news at 6, so got to wait until about 6-25pm before the stories on.
Stan Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 It would be utter perfection if we take the title with 79 points; exactly matching the target Ranieri set at the half-way stage. The man hasn't put a foot wrong all season.
weller54 Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Just mentioned the boss on the preview for the BBC news at 6, so got to wait until about 6-25pm before the stories on. What a great interview.. I shed some tears.. Found that very emotional.
Kitchandro Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Having watched the interview I'm pretty sure he's been on the piss all day. 'YES. YES MAAAAN'
