SpacedX Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 ...I'd quite like to see Schwarzer start at his old club on the final day of the season. Not only would he already be the only GK to win consecutive titles with two different teams, but I believe he would be the oldest player to appear in the history of the Premier League.

Out Foxed Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 nice sentiment, but a tad unfair on Kasper. Maybe he could be subbed on towards the end of the game to replace Schmeicel.
JerryLundegaard Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Kasper's played every minute hasn't he? He won't be happy if he can't carry that on.

This is one example. Keep Schmeichel there.
davieG Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 He's not exactly a long time lcfc player so can't see the justification now if it was Conrad I could just about see that.
SpacedX Posted 2 May 2016 Author Posted 2 May 2016 nice sentiment, but a tad unfair on Kasper. Maybe he could be subbed on towards the end of the game to replace Schmeicel. That'll be a resounding no then. Pragmatically, I agree with the responses...pure sentiment I admit. But, aside from caving in and a six nil-drubbing, I'd still like to see him feature aside from the not insignificant fact (as has been pointed out) that Kasper has played every minute of this campaign .
Fox92 Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 I agree, especially if he is retiring. I was at Wolves away in 2002 when we did it for Flowers.
StanSP Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 King in for Drinkwater, otherwise unchanged. drinkwater will be back for the Chelsea game.
Newcastle_Fox Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Absolutely awful shout! We don't owe the guy anything, infact he owes for all the mistakes he made last season when covering for Kasper - it was about one a game if I remember! Plus I don't think he's much of a team player for us if he writes articles like this spreading rumours and negativity! http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11712/10214122/leicester-citys-mark-schwarzer-believes-they-face-tough-challenges When Ranieri had come out the previous week and said Leicester would be his last club!
SpacedX Posted 2 May 2016 Author Posted 2 May 2016 Why? we don't owe him anything How do you know that? His contribution may not be tangible to us, but testimony from the players says otherwise. One of the reasons that NP was so keen to bring him in was his influence on the training ground. Kasper himself has alluded to his vast experience and insight and the fact that he's quite revered at the club. Like I say, I do agree with the responses, it is a sentimental call, but perhaps a gesture on behalf of the sport as opposed to the sole interest of the club.

Except, he didn't write it. Most likely the usual Sky sensationalist spin and completely out of context.
sylofox Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 WTF has he done to deserve it. He is only with us because NP gave his buddy a job not because he is any good now. If we have to give out stupid appearance's why not give one to a life long ST holder.
m4DD0gg Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 I would rather have somebody with a brain injury in goal than sky sports news renta grandpa.
