Found this from A Bolo (x) dated today:

Portuguese media outlet A Bola has learned that Premier League champions Leicester City are set to complete the signing of Algerian striker Islam Slimani from Sporting CP.

It is no secret that the Foxes are in the market for a centre forward and they appear to have made the Primeira Liga star their number one target.

According to A Bola, Leicester City have informed Benfica they are ready to match the player’s €30 million release clause, meaning the Algerian should soon be arriving at King Power Stadium.

The two clubs are currently negotiating the terms of the payment, while Slimani should travel to England after the final game of the season at the weekend.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed the most successful season of his career, scoring impressive 26 goals in 32 league outings.

He has been repeatedly linked with a move to English Premier League, and Leicester appear to have beaten the likes of West Ham, Everton and Crystal Palace to his signature.

we have got be careful signing a lot of international players..when they go away for for national duty there can be risks of loss of form, injury ..disruption to the team...

yeah but anyone who doesnt get into his national team might not be very good

Better get used to these price tags. Nearly every club in the premier league will be spending this amount on a player in seasons to come.

Get him signed, Albrighton, Mahrez and Fuchs crosses with Slimani's heading ability would be amazing.

I think he is exactly the type of striker we need. His goal record is great, and at the age of 27 he still has his best to come, and it's regarded as an ideal age for all footballers. The key is, when any club pays a lot of money for a certain player, you want them to bring in star quality, and it sounds as if this chap ticks all the boxes. I agree with LCFC FOX though, I can see us buying more 20m+ players.

£20 million nowdays is what £10 million used to be a few years ago. With the increased money clubs get you'll see a lot of teams now spending that sort of money on players.

Even in the championship teams spend over £10 million on 1 player.

If we can get this one over the line nice and quickly it sends out a proper message of intent that we're not planning on going away next season, quite the opposite.

This is it. Competition for players is persistently high, which explains the money teams are willing to spend.

I fully agree. We are linked to 20m+ players, but to me this is a good thing. It shows the club are really eager to establish ourselves as a top PL team, with the intentions to match that by attempting to bring in some excellent talents from around Europe.

How highly do you rate him @@AlgerianFox ?

Hi personal story is as improbable as Vardy's or Mahrez...his works rate is hallucinant...he will run all game he is fast very incisive and décisives he is very good in the air a team player not a great dribbler but has a very accurate passing skils...in the penalty area he is a real Fennec (desert fox).

He is fearless and used to play in jungles lol before getting un europe.

We love him as you love Vardy.
