lcfcnsk Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 http://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/eng/leicester-city-target-sportings-slimani-to-strengthen-attack/ Leicester City are already thinking about next season when the Foxes defend their Premier League title as well as participate in the Champions League as Claudio Ranieri is looking for a striker who can play next to Jamie Vardy. The club have found a target in Portugal in Sporting Club's attacker Islam Slimani, born in 1988. The Algerian striker, who was close to Fiorentina last summer, has found the net 26 times and assisted another 5 goals this season in the Portuguese league.
dave_the_fox Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Always linked with him haha but fvck me looks like he has had a great season!
cityfanlee23 Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 How much is he worth now? Everytime we are linked theres another few mil slapped on, If we don't get him soon we might aswell go in for Ronaldo.
Benguin Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Mahrez at right back, takes his man on, what a nutmeg, he's driven leicester 50 yards, he swings it into the box, SLIMANIIIIiIiIi!!!!!!!! What a superb Leicester goal. Repeat.
stevelcfc Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 4th successive window we've been linked with him. There must be some truth.
Great Boos Up Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 4th successive window we've been linked with him. There must be some truth. Exactly! And I've really wanted him 4 times. But after 4 attempts and he was suddenly interested I'm now suspicious. Plus the football world knows this now; watching who we've been courting. I'm letting him go.
dbtcity Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Would probably end up being a cheaper/better alternative to Deeney
Spudulike Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Another one that will be unavailable for up to six weeks at the ACON ??
-MaTaN- Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 To be honest i don't think Slimani is good enough to join us right now if we wanna take a step up.Don't get me wrong, He's a great striker and a real fox in the box kinda player, But i do think we should go for something bigger in order to take our game to the next level.

Don't get me wrong, He's a great striker and a real fox in the box kinda player, But i do think we should go for something bigger in order to take our game to the next level. Personally, given his scoring record, i think it is much more likely we are not big enough for him. Why didn't man city target him when they bought bony......pellegrini is a terrible manager.
WigstonWanderer Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 Looked the business with Mahrez in the first match against Ethiopia.
Grewks Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 Goalscorer? Check Different type of forward to vardy? Check A further opportunity to convince mahrez to stay? Check
weller54 Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 Goalscorer? Check Different type of forward to vardy? Check A further opportunity to convince mahrez to stay? Check Type of shirt he likes? Check.
foxes21 Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 Mahrez-Slimani-Feghouli behind Vardy Please Don Claudio! (Albrighton, Gray, Dodoo, Shinji & Ulloa can cover whilst they win the AFCON!)
Babylon Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 I'll repeat what I've said every other time we've been linked with this bloke. The was one player Pearson specifically denied us bidding on or even being interested in. For a man who never comments on transfer speculation, that should tell you a lot. Things might have changed, but this is most likely just a lazy rehash of an old non story.
Callabinho Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 The more I see his name pop up the more he grows on me. Big, agile, good in the air, selfless and has an eye for goal. He ticks all of the right boxes.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 I have heard and contiune to hear praise for this chap. Can't say I know too much about him, but looking at this goal record and what others have said on here, he looks like he would be a decent buy.
