Kendal Fox Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 You are aware that Leicester is in the top 10 worst cities in the UK for congestion? Arsenal's training ground is in Hertfordshire, not London. I just don't understand your argument at all. Yes and I still stand by it because the cost of living and house price will will be way higher for him there - Herts is 12-15 miles from London and much more pricey than Leics. That will still strip a fair amount away of the greater wages he will be on and there's a good chance the new, improved offer from us won't be far off, when all the variables are taken into account.

Honestly don't think difference in house prices and cost of a chauffeur into London is really a worry on nearly 6m a year. Price of a pint could be the decider however!

I don't think he's going to be worried about the cost of living on 120k a week.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 5852 posts and 196 pages for the Maynard thread, not long to go.WowAnd looking back now (easy to say) but Maynard was shit
tom27111 Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Produce this 'report' http://www.lifehacker.co.uk/2015/04/01/the-15-worst-uk-cities-for-congestion-and-getting-stuck-in-traffic That's 2014 data. Dropped to 11th in 2015 to be fair.
Izzy Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Bring these back, so that we can track our progress throughout the season: Quality stuff. I'd forgotten all about League Ladders. Simple times yet brings back great childhood memories...

Great Boos Up Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Quality stuff. I'd forgotten all about League Ladders. Simple times yet brings back great childhood memories... No it doesn't. HaHa.

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Striker to replace JV: Players from North of the border never work out well - we should all know that. Bring these back, so that we can track our progress throughout the season: Could you find another picture of one of these - the one you've chosen tracks the dirty Leeds!
Izzy Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 No it doesn't. HaHa. Well it does for me! There was nothing more satisfying as a six year old than moving the Leicester City tab up three places to 15th in the old second division
49er Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Quality stuff. I'd forgotten all about League Ladders. Simple times yet brings back great childhood memories... I used to wait outside the newsagents on the day that the Shoot magazine with the league ladders became available. I used to draw the teams out of a hat for their positions in the league. After a few goes, Rochdale were in Division One and Liverpool were bottom of Division 4!
EGBFitness Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 You know the thread has gone to pot when you read posts about cost of living in London for a guy being offered £120k per week I can't wait for the transfer window to shut and to think it hasn't actually opened yet
49er Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Used to like the way that the goalkeeper was able to dive. Problem was hitting the players head too hard ended up in them having a dislocation!
Guest Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 5852 posts and 196 pages for the Maynard thread, not long to go. Is that all? In my mind that had got to 600 pages!
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Well it does for me! There was nothing more satisfying as a six year old than moving the Leicester City tab up three places to 15th in the old second division I'd be amazed if anyone got, past the 5th game week with these things - the little things were so small and fiddly and went everywhere when you whooshed your bedroom door it really wasn't worth it.

Think the year Blackburn won it was the last time I recall having one. Not sure I ever got past week 4 actuality doing the changes though

Is this a wind up? He's wrong in his description of London, imo, but he's not when talking about the cost of living. An extra 500k a year after tax won't go far if the pair of them attempt to start living the celebrity life style. You know the thread has gone to pot when you read posts about cost of living in London for a guy being offered £120k per week I can't wait for the transfer window to shut and to think it hasn't actually opened yet Sorry
MadKaw Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Won't leave to much at risk. Who will buy his book or watch the movie... Its empathy with characters that make them popular and loyalty is saleable characteristic. Or not, wtf would I know, just trying to get this thread over the line..
biggs Posted 7 June 2016 Posted 7 June 2016 Wouldn't this be something: Arsene Wenger will play Jamie Vardy on the left wing in ultra attacking line-up, claims Emmanuel Petit Hope JV mulls that risk over
