He's sprung it on us, but that doesnt mean he has sprung it on the club... Its rare that a club gets a phonecall and thats the first they know of a potential offer. Besides, we'll have someone lined up just in case he does decide to move.... Probably have for a while now...

Steve Walsh and his team probably have dozens of potential recruits earmarked for any eventuality.

We've been lucky with injuries. With added games in CL extra recruits will have been identified.

A loss of form will also be allowed, with other options.Do remember that until last season JV's record with City was:

2012/13 Chmp 26 apps 4 goals

2013/14 Chmp 37 apps 16 goals

2014/15PL 34 apps 5 goals.

Not that impressive.

Exactly. Don't think he would have done that if he was going. The delay is to piss off Arsenal, not us.

He will stay.

The owners would have done whatever they thought they should not to get mugged off like that. They will want to show they aren't fvcking about here.

All very well until they leave it late and decide they are not going to spend the extra few quid needed to actually ensure they come. It's evident to everybody that we are in desperate need of a striker, even two, regardless of whether Vardy stays or not. How are we expected to battle in the Prem and the CL with Shinji, Vards and Ulloa?

The longer this goes on the more barging power vardy has, arsenal will want to save face on this one so will probably increase terms if his agent goes back to them with leicester's deal. Win win for Vardy

Personally find it quite disrespectful of Vardy to spring this on us and then **** off to the Euros without making a decision. If he is going, the least he could do is give us the summer to find a decent replacement.

He'll be back in a fortnight well still have plenty of time

If there is no decision until after the Euros it just leaves a sour taste in both sets of fans mouths to the point everybody just stop's giving a Fuchs either way. Just want to crack on with other business to be honest.

Seems like Wenger is running out of ideas to me.... envious glances at our league title and panic buying/ offering

Hey falls asleep every night dreaming of Celine Dion singing the Power Of Love live at the Emirates before him and Jamie lift the PL trophy together.

Floor was always sticky at Tubes - just hope Vardy sticks with Leicester.  I imagine the owners will do what it takes, IF they think its worthwhile long term.  They may decide to take the money, keep the wage structure and move on.

This is all a bit Big time Charlie tbh.

You have got to feel the pride - at stake.

Comment from a Arse fan

"Suarez all over again? We will look like right idiots from a small team if he says no and we have not got a better guy done.

I can see this is going to be a right old pile of poo ... these things never go well for Arsenal and we will look like the panto villains for trying to spoil the Leicester fairy tale.

Just go get Boomerang. Pay the fee Wenger you tight wad."

Actually it's something we have never really had to worry about, the big team blues at being rejected. Makes you want to weep for them, Vardy hanging on is a strange one but its fun seeing Arsenal fans squirm over the possibility of being rejected. Football is such an emotional event. There will only ever be one 2015-16 Champion!

If he has said he won't decide until after the euro's then he is taking the piss out of us and arsenal. The clause is there so we can't do much, it's up to arsenal to push him.

How can both clubs plan moving forward? We could both miss out on other targets.

It's funny that all the team are asking for Vardy to stay! I bet they are! There'll be a new wage ceiling for everyone to bargain for!

In all seriousness though, I'm going to now not open this specific thread until the Euros are over. If you see my name in the hundreds of gawkers down at the bottom of the page. You have my permission to give me abuse.

I wish we could go back to the days where I didn't have to charge my bloody phone 3 times in a day. Can I forward my electric bill onto the Vardys?

Hahaha thought I was the only one lol

But if he lets the club know why not just ****ing let us know. Makes zero sense.

I agree it makes no sense. There are three possibilities of what's going on I think. He's either undecided, or has decided to go and Arsenal have made an arrangement not to announce anything until after the Euro's incase of injury, or as ealingfox said above - him and the owners are mugging Arsenal off as a big FU.

A poll on the Mirror website posing the question 'Should Jamie Vardy move to Arsenal?' has so far yielded 51% in favour and 49% against after over 8000 votes.

You never know who's voting in these polls and they should usually be taken with a pinch of salt. But I think that, in this case, it illustrates just what a tough decision this is for Vardy.

By the amount of views this topics had since the weekend I would think the majority are Leicester fans

And you don't think that we've been linked with half the strikers in europe since the season finished 3 weeks ago suggests we're probably after some?

Probably keeping peeps waiting whilst his agent is trying to get something started at another club and he mugs both us and the Arse off if he can get the money.

Knows if he has a good Euro's outing he might get another offer or two.

What against the Arsenal faithful that love winning online polls (cause that's all they win)?
