Babylon Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 It depends what your definition of a legend is. If it's based on goals scored then yes, he is. To me personally it's about a lot more. It's about scoring the goals, but also sticking around through the good times and the shit times. Consistently fighting for the club and not having your head turned as soon as someone offers you more money. Like I said King is a prime example of what I'd class as a legend. He is a role model. Gets on with the job, pulls it out the bag when called upon and doesn't moan about it. King is only here because no decent club would want him, good lord. The very definition of legend is "well known", so anyone doing something that stands the test of time should be recognised as one. Vardy is and will be talked about for generations. The same goes for Kante, Mahrez and quite a few others, whether they are here next year or not. Just as the likes of Izzett, Lennon, Claridge, Roberts, Weller, Worthington along with others were and still are.
Fox 4 Life Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If you'd have said at the start of pre-season we'd lose Vardy but kept Kante and Mahrez is have taken that, other way round I would have thought. But if Kante and Mahrez also leave I'll be gutted. They will leave eventually I just though Vardy would end his career here (mainly cos I didn't think an Arsenal / Man City / Chelsea would bid for him). Hope wenger sees sense and pulls the plug. Not sure about others but I feel like Mahrez looked great in the games Vardy missed and relished being the star man. Hopefully he sees this as an opportunity to be no.1
m4DD0gg Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Not sure about others but I feel like Mahrez looked great in the games Vardy missed and relished being the star man. Hopefully he sees this as an opportunity to be no.1 Mahrez will be next mate.
Nalis Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Arsenal may be bigger but he is an unloyal **** if he goes there after we made him what he is. I'm sorry but your first paragraph is a bad argument as you could say the same for Fleetwood.
Babylon Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Not sure about others but I feel like Mahrez looked great in the games Vardy missed and relished being the star man. Hopefully he sees this as an opportunity to be no.1 Vardy goes, the others go if you ask me.
Fox92 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 That's what I said you tool. Arsenal may be bigger but he is an unloyal **** if he goes there after we made him what he is. Arsenal are serial underachievers, with a joke of a fanbase. They will be on him if he doesn't score in his first couple of games. Why anyone would want to go there is beyond me. You're a tool for calling a club legend a 'cvnt'.
Master Fox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Yep. This is it. Mahrez, Kante next. What a sad day for the club. Just when you thought you could have faith in football again. If Vardy goes he's nothing but a greedy little cvnt in my mind.
Jace Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Kante won't be happy pretty sure he had his heart set on Arsenal....
foxes_rule1978 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 All of this years team are legends, regardless of what they go on and do. It was the greatest season in the clubs history, nothing comes close
Fox 4 Life Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I'm sorry but your first paragraph is a bad argument as you could say the same for Fleetwood. Haha because they are completely comparable. We took the chance on him in the bigger leagues and stuck by him when was going to sack it all off. Moulding him in to a premier league champion. Yep completely the same.
Finnaldo Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If he was to go I would of preferred him to have given the Kante/Mahrez cryptic answers then say he's definitely staying then fvck off to Arsenal. But he won't go, so it doesn't matter.

new_york_paris_leicester Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Up there with Dennis Wise for me. Hope he ****s his whole career up now.
Master Fox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Vardy's WAG pretty much implying he's gone. I feel sick to my stomach. I hate Arsenal so much.

You mean disloyal.........it's all relative, fans are disloyal too. When he was struggling for form but working hard, how many were supportive? How many would have happily signed a replacement and tossed him onto the scrap heap. We can't demand loyalty from players when we don't show it ourselves.
Fox 4 Life Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 You're a tool for calling a club legend a 'cvnt'. 2 weeks ago he was saying how he doesn't need to leave and we have done loads for him in his career, then he ****s off to Arsenal of all teams. Sorry but that is the definition of cuntish behaviour. I'm a Leicester fan first, I'll thank him for what he's done for us but he doesn't deserve the ongoing support of this amazing fanbase. Enjoy the day trippers who will boo you after a couple of average games.

49er Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Wenger would prefer to have Morata or Higuain but will they come. They will also cost a lot more than Vardy. It could be a smokescreen designed to hurry Morata along if he feels that Arsenal are after Vardy. Why was the release clause only £20m given that the contract was only signed recently. Surely, the club would have known that the vultures would be circling at the end of the season. Why didn't they put in £30m or £40m. That would have been an amount that no one would have paid for Vardy. It may, of course, be that Vardy insisted on £20m, knowing that amount would generate some interest.

Very harsh suggesting that about King, just about the only player left in the game with any loyalty, he could have moved to a bigger club early in his leicester career but didn't.
StanSP Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Just when I thought I couldn't dislike Wilshere any more the raggy twat

I suppose if Munich or Madrid bid he shouldn't leave because he said he'd stay? Ok then. As for "Arsenal of all teams" - they aren't our rivals. Yeah I disliked them when I went Arsenal away and they were being pricks but overall they are a very well run club.
johnny the fox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Arsenal could buy our whole squad, stadium, training ground and backroom staff ..and still fook up and bottle the title....
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Hate the slimy little ba5tard now. If you plan to go, fine, but don't come out before saying you'll stay and that you love the club. Hope, and think, he'll fail at Arsenal, and I for one will be pleased. However, in the long run, we've been sussed with our style of play Vardy brings. We're not going to win the PL again playing that way, so maybe it's best we bring in different players, rebuild, and become less one-dimensional. I hope youngish players like James and Chilwell stay, have a feeling we could need them!!!
