Although a non player manager isn't unusual, it's interesting to see how one fares from a country where it's a minority sport. Hope he can bring something new to Swansea and the league

Theyre squad is wretched and frankly Pulis must be pound for pound one of the best managers in the league to do anything with them. Pulis has been there for 4 transfer windows now and hasn't shown any interest in actually improving the squad's technical ability. He plays to his strengths and it gets him 16th every season. Hardly one of the best managers in the league. Have a word. Just realised it's you i've quoted. Please don't send me death threats again

When Stoke fans started thinking their team was Brazil circa 1970 incarnate just because they shelled out on a couple of Barca rejects and a stumpy Swiss bloke. Please don't send me death threats again Its hard to get players of excellent technical quality in. Who realistically could West Brom bring in of great technical quality? Hes brought in the likes of Chadli and Rondon who are good technicians, but its not easy managing them even with the new owners they arent blessed with wads of cash, and theres not much point in quoting an example like Leicester to say what can be done on a modest budget because we are still very much the exception rather than the rule. Football fans believe the grass is greener. If West Brom got rid of Pulis im pretty sure theyd become worse.

Not back to back, City never won the league until Aguero arrived, which was a few seasons after Tevez. Tevez might've had his strop as well before they won the league. They're not Rochdale ffs.

And none of the teams at the bottom have great technical quality either. Hes higher up the league than Swansea, Stoke, West Ham who have more technical ability than his squad have. So he gets a lot out of what hes got. Sunderland have had as many years if not more in the top flight and have absolutely nothing to show for it and a shambolic team. You couldnt call West Brom a shambles. Theyre well organised and regularly pick up points against good sides.

Vacamion Posted 31 October 2016 Share Posted 31 October 2016 To be fair, every time a Swansea player has shown a bit of form, they've sold him. That can't go on for ever. Unless you are Southampton....
Koke Posted 31 October 2016 Share Posted 31 October 2016 Hull and Sunderland are worse than Swansea. Swansea will fight it out with Burnley and Middlesbrough for that last spot.
Izzy Posted 31 October 2016 Share Posted 31 October 2016 How come Bony has 'Wilfried' on the back of his shirt and not 'Bony'? I see Dele Alli now has 'Dele' on his shirt now too.
