boots60 Posted 25 May 2016 Posted 25 May 2016 They've moved ground since I last went Oxford. Do they still let you dive into the crowd from the floodlight pylons?
DB11 Posted 25 May 2016 Posted 25 May 2016 Leicester have agreed that Oxford can keep all of the gate receipts as well - another nice gesture which will mean a lot to them financially
Guest Mee-9 Posted 25 May 2016 Posted 25 May 2016 It's in Kemar Roofe's transfer deal that we have to play a friendly against Oxford.
lgfualol Posted 25 May 2016 Posted 25 May 2016 I think it's good to keep a game or two against teams in the lower leagues.
DB11 Posted 25 May 2016 Posted 25 May 2016 I think it's good to keep a game or two against teams in the lower leagues. We should see if Derby want to play us, the revenue we'd bring to them by playing at their ground would be useful for them
whetstonefox Posted 25 May 2016 Posted 25 May 2016 Nice to see we have at least one normal pre season game.
Bert Posted 25 May 2016 Posted 25 May 2016 Well we've defo played them before at the Kassam or the 1-1 draw and DJ Campbell free kick was just a dream.
Thracian Posted 25 May 2016 Posted 25 May 2016 Any excuse to re-visit Oxford is welcome. Such happy days!
Wymsey Posted 25 May 2016 Posted 25 May 2016 Well we've defo played them before at the Kassam or the 1-1 draw and DJ Campbell free kick was just a dream. Surprised no one in League 1 or even 2 want him. Must've gone off the rails a bit.
Fox92 Posted 25 May 2016 Posted 25 May 2016 Well we've defo played them before at the Kassam or the 1-1 draw and DJ Campbell free kick was just a dream. Yeah I thought that. Error in the article. I'd fancy Oxford on a Saturday but it's a bit of a trek midweek.
OUFCTony Posted 25 May 2016 Posted 25 May 2016 About time you lot organized a proper glamour pre-season friendly, rather than all these Spanish and French also-rans...... Seriously though, we're looking forward to welcoming the Champions of England to the Kasstad. And we're going to enjoy beating you too! And many thanks for the gate receipts.....I imagine you're probably going to attract a few more punters this summer than you did in 2010!!

OUFCTony Posted 25 May 2016 Posted 25 May 2016 maybe. we've always taken decent numbers pre season though. I don't doubt it - I was more referring to the people of Oxford.....I don't think we were collectively all that interested in watching a Friendly against mid-table Championship Leicester in 2010 (I believe was there.....but I think the crowd was only around 2500). 2016 Leicester, however, should bring all our part-timers out of the woodwork!
Oxfordfox83 Posted 25 May 2016 Posted 25 May 2016 Went to the game in 2010, was best part of 3/4 empty, but I did meet Garry Parker. Think it might be different this time...
Oxfordlcfc Posted 26 May 2016 Posted 26 May 2016 Obviously work with a few yellows and will be going with them in the home end
thybluefox Posted 26 May 2016 Posted 26 May 2016 Is this going to be a tickets on the gate kind of deal?
Koke Posted 26 May 2016 Posted 26 May 2016 I wonder how many of the Euro lads will play. Inler, Fuchs, King, Vardy, Drinkwater, Kante. .
lgfualol Posted 26 May 2016 Posted 26 May 2016 I wonder how many of the Euro lads will play. Inler, Fuchs, King, Vardy, Drinkwater, Kante. . Well knowing England, Drinky and Vardy will be back shortly after the group stages.
KFS Posted 26 May 2016 Posted 26 May 2016 I wonder how many of the Euro lads will play. Inler, Fuchs, King, Vardy, Drinkwater, Kante. . Inler hasn't been named in the Euro squad
Hollism Posted 26 May 2016 Posted 26 May 2016 Went to the game in 2010, was best part of 3/4 empty, but I did meet Garry Parker. Think it might be different this time... Never know. Garry Parker might be at this one too.
