who could he offended by that ?

Pity Jewdas Kante didn't stay ! Would have been a fully house

Surely if Kante had stayed he wouldn't be a "Judas"

I think the rumours are true.

The guy next to Mahrez at the hotel looks remarkably similar to Slimani and around the right height. Personal terms were probably agreed a long time ago.

And he missed training around that time

Riyad's bottom half looks about 93. The guy behind him must be his carer.

There will probably never be another window like this one for us ever again, in terms of the step up in quality we are trying to buy, and the money we have to spend. How lucky are we (as fans) to witness this time. :scarf:

True. My lad has been thoroughly spoilt in his short time following our beloved club. He began following in the year we won the Championship title, witnessed the Great Escape in his second season and of course, saw us unbelievably lift the Premier League crown last season.

I have tried to keep his feet on the ground and explain that in my 30 odd years of following, we have largely been average at best and have had to put up with some utter dross.

So, on that note I am currently making him undertake a season dvd review marathon, starting with 90/91, just so he can fully appreciate the position we currently find ourselves in :D

I would suggest skipping between 2004 and 2009 ... I don't think anyone should be tortured in that manner

I'm with you salieri my lad is now 37 and his first match was LCFC v WBA about 30 years ago. My first match was in the 68/69 season in the days of the Doug stringfellow and banksy. I prayed that one day my team would deliver me a trophy and they duly did beating Middlesbrough in that replay. The joy and pride in the ground and on the way back I will never forget.

Now look what they've gone and done! Absolutely amazing. Let's all sa our these times as we all know in football things can turn to crap very quickly.

If we suffered, so should he!

It's the only way to truly appreciate what we've achieved.

He was Mike Stringfellow, enjoyed watching him, Riley, Gibson, Banks, et al too.

Same. My boy is nearly 9 and started watching us in our promotion season. I got season tickets (after a few years off) when we went up and since then he has enjoyed this epic journey. Whilst I am delighted to share it with him (our shared moment of joy dancing round the front room when Chelsea clinched the title for us is a moment which will live with me forever), a little bit of me wonders if it is possible to really appreciate it from his perspective. Feel like I should send him off to watch someone like Leeds for a season to balance his point of view!

The Doug was dereck Dougan I was referring too

Dougan was transferred to Wolves in '67, so you couldn't have seen him in '68/'69.

My daughter is exact same age and her journey is identical , no way is the significance and magic  of this sinking in , proof ? Playing Arsenal she said "we are a much bigger club than Arsenal , we should win this easy"

I was a little shocked to say the least ....because she really believes it lol

Beats me. :dunno:

After I grew up in Leicester - used to see Lineker jogging past my home whilst doing my homework. I now live in Hertfordshire - a strong Arsenal / Spurs heartland. Walcott lives in the same private estate as one of my son's school mates. My son is now 13 and has been a fan since League 1 days. At various times my son has thought about defecting to Arsenal / Spuds but he has kept the faith. The last year has convinced him - magical times !

'66/'67 was my first season as a fan - losing the Doug was like what losing Vardy would have been like.
