Why would you keep a player who no longer wants to be at the club? Who has publicly stated he wants the challenge of going to a club interested in him? Making him rot in the reserves is suicide for a club with a lot of debt...

Carvalho may well be a tough negotiator but there is also being reckless. They piss Leicester off too much then they could end up £30 million down having already recruited 2 new strikers and with 2 seriously pissed off players.

Im 99% sure Slimani is going to Leicester, but there are some reports that West Brom started a bidding war in the last days thats why sporting wants more than 30M€. Slimani gives priority to Leicester tho. But he'll gadly join West brom since they'll probably give him a higher salary than you guys.

We have no problem, with players not wanting to stay. Slimani wanted to leave last year last year aswell and he was benched for a few games and he ended up having his best season ever. We are a portuguese club, allot of the player are unhappy, we are poor and can't pay the wages a prem side would pay them. If Sporting, Porto and Benfica sold every player that is unhappy they would end up fielding the U-21 teams...

Just bid 30 million, offer the player a pay packet that West Brom can't compete with just to draw Slimani in and then refuse to complete the deal unless we get Adrien too. Can't beat a bit of good old fashioned blackmail.
