He is the one that made it illigal to use funds to buy percentages of players. He is the one who started the whole Video Referee thing. He is the dude who made Jorge Mendes and all agents his bitches. No one ****s with him. One person said that to be fair, and it was a silly comment.
Grey Fox Posted 30 August 2016 Posted 30 August 2016 1 hour ago, SportingCP said: Take good care of Slimani guys. Its pretty clear here in Portugal that he will join you. Let me give you a description of the player you are getting. He will be the most hard working man on the pitch every single game, he runs the whole time he is on the pitch, and doesn't stop for one second. If he thinks he might get to a ball he will run even if there is only 1% chance of getting to it before it crosses the line. He is the 1st defender of your team, he will press the Center backs and the goal keeper like no other striker in the world. If you cross a ball to his head he will score 100% of the times. He is very physical and can hold the ball really well What im gonna say now might feel like an exaggeration to you lot, but I wouldn't trade Slimani for Lewadoski or Suarez. Slimani was the perfect fit for our team, and has a workrate that no other player in the world has. He is a fan favourite, we've had other strikers like Jardel that won the European Golden boot when he played for us and won us a league all by himself, but our affection to Slim is even greater. Slimani is and will forever be in Sporting's history, as he gave 100% of him in every single match, he also stays 1 or 2 hours extra in training just to practice. that shows his dedication. He came out of nowhere, when he arrived in Sporting 3 years ago he was 25 years old and was playing in the algerian second division, and now he is one of the best strikers in the world. I keep seeing Sporting fans saying this. Clearly they don't expect him to be on the pitch at the same time as Okazaki.

FireFox Posted 30 August 2016 Posted 30 August 2016 You could be bigger than Real Madrid, If you try anything shady he'll go to your owners house and he will stab him.[emoji6]Well our owners are rumored to have connections with certain East Asian gangsters...And our manager isn't called the Godfather for nothing. He injured our own player Schlupp so he wouldn't move to West Brom.

Men just grow up a bit, why saying all those stupid statements? You're giving a bad image of your club fans and you should be ashamed of yourself. With this said, our president is a tough negotiator indeed. I have almost zero doubts that Slimani will leave Sporting, and most likely to Leicester. But don't think it will be cheap, it won't. It will be for the right price and I'm sure you won't regret to pay what's needed to pay. He's an amazing player. By the way saying things like you'll buy Sporting it's just as stupid as what this guy is saying. You could have all the money in the world, still not enough to buy Sporting Clube de Portugal.

You'd be surprised how Portuguese big 3 (specially Sporting) think about being bought. We care too much about our history, our past and our identity. For Sporting to be sold that proposal had to be accepted in a general meeting (i'm not sure what's the term, i just used translator) and it would be really hard to pass it through. This topic isn't new to us, and I've honestly never seen a supporter willing to accept it.

Finnegan Posted 30 August 2016 Posted 30 August 2016 I'd rather neither of these than either for 30m+. They're not worth that to us, neither of them. They might be to Sporting, sure, but they're only going to be rotation for us. Is Adrien really going to replace Drinkwater? People realise that's the role he plays, right? And are we really going to play Slimani any more than Leo? I'm not convinced.
