Not suggesting Slimani would be no better than Leo, that's not my point.

 

I'm suggesting we're no more likely to play Slimani than we currently play Leo, unless we  change our approach, which I'm hoping we don't.

 

Oh and @SportingCP - grow up lad. If Adrien was half as good as you think he is, he'd have been playing in a proper league years ago.

 

As for Drinkwater, I'm confident most of us here have seen Adrien play more times than you've clapped eyes on our Danny.

Slimani is different planet to the Donkey. He's actually mobile for one. 

It's impressive how much more successful Ulloa has been in the Premier League - top scorer one season, important fringe player in a title winning side the next - than a whole host of players elsewhere in the PL who cost as much as Slimani, or more, and came with every bit as much acclaim.

 

The popular view right now (though not necessarily your view, of course) is that we should send Leo Ulloa and Jeff Schlupp packing if we can find someone better, but N'Golo Kante is scum of the earth because he found a club which he thought was better than ours. This title business has really gone to some people's heads.

There is some great insight from some great Sporting fans which has been fabulous to see.

 

There's also some absolute dross from some deluded Sporting fans that think they're Real and their players are all world beaters.

 

Slimani and Adrien are solid, decent players. They're not world class talents, else it wouldn't be Leicester sniffing around with our nouveau riche wonga, it'd be some Titan of the champions league looking for a star signing.

They are 2 solid players but what makes them special is that from 0min to 90min in the game they look like this:

 

 

And in Premier League that's a must.

I think the club were waiting to see what our champions league draw was going to be before deciding our strategy... I'm pretty sure they have seen the draw and think we can give it a real go to get to the 1/4s..

I'd say we need another forward that like Vardy, is pacey and strong in the air.

 

Slimani seems like this and hence would be an Ulloa upgrade,  as the latter is hardly fast and doesn't really fit in how we play in general.

1. Leo is a million miles away from being a Donkey I find it quite sad that a fellow Leicester fan can describe him as one after everything you have seen from him but hey ho your entitled to your opinion.

I think my opinions on Leo Ulloa's ability and short comings have been somewhat evident since we were originally linked with him. Poor touch, slow = donkey. He's got his strengths do not get me wrong, but this is a clear upgrade. I realize you all love him because we won the league and he played about 20 minutes a game, ask yourself if we are lifting the trophy he starts every game, no chance. 

 

Portugal were for the most part terrible in the Euros, they were lucky in a variety of different ways not least because under normal tournament conditions they wouldn't of even got out of the group. To compare us and them is ridiculous as we actually won the games to win the league. The drew  with Iceland (please don't bring up England I am fully aware we are garbage as well) Hungary and Austria, they spuffed it all the way to the trophy winning one out of seven regulation football games and that was against Wales who while they impressed still need to call numerous players from our second tier into their squad.
