stillwater Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 Got a letter from LCFC today stating that my direct debit had been refused for Mays payment and that my season ticket would be cancelled unless I called and made a payment. Called them up and apparently there has been an admin error and a lot of DD's have been cancelled? Has anyone else had this done to them? Is it a conspiracy theory that it's a way of making season tickets available to other people ?

Staffs Fox Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 Yes it happened to me, I noticed last week that my May payment hadn't been taken so I rang them up. The woman on the phone said it'd happened a lot and I'd receive a letter to make a manual payment. She assured me my ST was safe though
Livid Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 Me and at least three other I know of. If you nip over to the tickets forum there's a thread on it. Two of us rang up last week and got told not to worry. I'm assuming the letter, which is probably waiting at home, could have been worded better from what you're saying.

But a rumour I have heard says we are getting Ronaldo (ssshhhsh top told me)

abc Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 I received the letter. Called and eventually got through. It took a lot of redialing to get through and the lovely helpful girl sorted it out for me and my son and when I asked if she had 24,000 of us ringing she said no it was affecting 1,000 STHs, of different banks so they still do not know what caused it. She did say she was the only one on the phone today! Wow I bet she had a busy day! The DD's did not work so LCFC have set up new DD's using the same bank details for next month, but need card payment for May. Advice to anyone who gets the letter is to give them a call and pay your May bill and check that your bank has the new DD set up. it should have the same reference # on as in your letter under DDID.

Someone else suggested this but I'm with Lloyds and all 3 if mine went fine and I've not seen any evidence of the payment bouncing back

I've had this problem since January mate,had to go down every month since,went down the other day again and was told they Carnt do anything without the letter,it's a shambles

LJS Posted 10 June 2016 Posted 10 June 2016 Just called them, because I originally had to move seats because of the Champions' League gantry issue they treated it as a new ticket rather than a renewal, and so took a payment from me as a deposit in May when I applied. So my first payment will be June 30th and unaffected by the fact that I have now been able to retain my old seat for league games.
Edingleyfox Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Yes I noticed that my LCFC direct account was not working and they said the account had been frozen after a Direct debit problem but they were nice about it and said it was not my fault.Have not seen the letter as yet. Took a payment and everything back working but slightly concerned now in case the same thing happens in June although a can see a Direct Debit reference for LCFC on internet banking so hopefully the club will sort it.
