Hope we don't break that record. Who will be our first game? Who do you want it to be?

Looking at their opening games on that article, it does look like the defending Champions have been given favorable ties on the opening day to be fair
StanSP Posted 13 June 2016 Author Posted 13 June 2016 Looking at their opening games on that article, it does look like the defending Champions have been given favorable ties on the opening day to be fair yeah I don't know year by year but seems quite common that champions get a promoted side or a side that finished near the bottom. These are sides that have played the champions most: 3 - Newcastle (not in PL for 16/17) 2 - Swansea, West Brom, Birmingham, Everton, QPR Other teams all once. I think we'll get Middlesbrough at home.
Countesthorpe Fox 1884 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Palace, Burnley or West Ham away please!
RowlattsFox Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Don't make plans for a Saturday 3pm kick off. Bound to be moved whoever we play.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 I think we will have Stoke City home/away first game.
Footballwipe Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Nailed on to be live on the opening weekend. Also, expect a big UCL-team clash in the opening couple of weeks. It's the one time before the Champions League kicks off that they can show a clash of such size on a Monday night, so Leicester-Arsenal or Leicester-Spurs wouldn't surprise me to be in week two or three of the season. (I know there's no TV influence but these do seem to be a coincidence).
Countesthorpe Fox 1884 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 One of our august games is also bound to be on a Friday as they won't have any other chance throughout the season until around feb due to champions League games, they'll want to showcase the champions wont they?
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Would love a Saturday 3pm kick off. It's the Thursday/Friday before a match where the excitement builds...
Fox92 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 As always I don't want a big club or a club that's just come up. I'd take a side such as Sunderland or Bournemouth. At home.
NewEnglandFox Posted 14 June 2016 Posted 14 June 2016 I'll say Everton because someone already said Stoke.
StanSP Posted 14 June 2016 Author Posted 14 June 2016 Two threads Stan ! Tut tut lol think there's still some alcohol left in your body from yesterday
Lcfc_lass10 Posted 14 June 2016 Posted 14 June 2016 Burnley away. Would be a great atmosphere at that cricket club.
